We filed April and understand the added frustration of those that get their NOA2 before us having waited less time. But I know for everyday, for every week, for every month that goes by we are that much closer. If it wasn't for this site I would have had a nervous breakdown I think....lol. I too have been married before as well as my fiance. I just got to the point that I'm tired of Having to invite so and so and if you invite so and so don't forget whats her name. BLAH.. We are having a JP in our home with a couple to be a witness, even not needed just wanted, and our own vows. Then we are going out for dinner. Then arriving back to our home on the waterfront with our own stuff, own timeframe. Can't wait. After all this time apart we just want alone time and quiet time together. But because we want to have a party this is going to be our (secret wedding) so we can get paperwork done. Most people dream of having the perfect wedding but we here just dream of having a wedding. I personally am not fond of a huge elaborate ceremony and it boggles my mind how much some women obsess over every single minute detail of their wedding. I joined TheKnot.com to help in creating a wedding guest list and wedding website but I sometimes get ridiculous emails like "practice your wedding hairstyle a few times before the actual day!" or "never have a friend or family member bake your wedding cake! Always hire a professional!" Ridiculously absurd. Who cares if your hair isn't perfect the day of your wedding? And if you want to have a friend or family member bake your cake, why not? Again, perfection does not have to be attained. It's one day! I personally have more important things to think about than the color of ink that I'm printing my wedding invitations in or taste testing the food that will be served at our reception. Among these important things are actually getting my fiance here so we can procede with the said wedding I don't want to remember the day of my wedding as the exact hue of my bridesmaid dresses or the flavor of the wedding cake or obessing about the exact placement of the table centerpieces. I want to remember it as the day that I became legally wed to the most wonderful man and that we will never have to be separated again. Maybe it's the whole immigration process, but my wedding day has really been placed into perspective for me. This whole planning receptions, rehearsal dinners, going on extreme weight loss plans, finding "the perfect florist" and other silly frivilous nonsense is not for me. I just want to marry the love of my life, honor our cultural backgrounds, family and friends, with a small celebration afterwards and finally begin our lives together so true, ours is going to be in our home by the ocean with a few good friends a immediate family, then the following day we are having a party and having a pizza truck set up outside and bake delicious pizzas for everyone with gelato and espresso coffees. looking forward to just being together and not having to say good bye in an airport again.	at long last	Female	Canada	2011-10-12 21:56:00

I am a Vermont filer and would like to know who gets their NOA2 and what was the filing date. This will be like the Igor's list that they have for the California Service Center. There are a lot of posts of people who receive their NOA2 and those of us who seek specific info from VSC will not have to sift through all of the other posts especially those not from VSC. But USCIS will do as they may. We have landed here on day 201 so I REALLY know how it feels to endure this miserable waiting game. We did the service request - which they said "bought them 90 more days to process" their words not mine...not kidding.. ####### contacted congresswoman - her answer was nothing more than what we could read online contacted USCIS spoke to supervisor who said we were way past the normal processing time and that she (me) was just from Canada for heavens sake. Then when she was still reading on computer she mumbled something about next week. And that maybe it will be a valentines present. Sure hope not.. My fiance has another call into the congresswoman and failing that it will be a drive to Vermont to ask what gives with our petition. Good luck and be persistent. It is the ONLY thing keeping me a tad bit sane in this process. We all have to keep focused on what keeps our feet still on the ground. After our conversation with the call centre last night and verified what their job really entailed I have pretty much reserved myself to being here until next summer. Anything more would be a bonus. sigh... I am sad though I have missed so many events state side. Oh well next year.. But my "passing the time" is IMing/emailing/skyping my fiance and spending our time "together" though we're apart. And the NOA2 will come when it comes. ... Just saying. that's all well and nice if the other is able to to do those things..lol.. Don't get me wrong those were interesting numbers to go through but when it wouldn't ALLOW me to enter any more I gave up looking. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	CHEATING checking your visa status	OMG are you kidding me all you non-believers {I was just talking about NOA1 being approved} and maybe understand where your application may be in the process.. There is only two ways that I know of that gives you a 100% accuracy of your status on your application. 1) You receive notice by mail/email 2) Checking the website for an update. ALL I WAS TRYING TO SAY, by checking lower EAC numbers and higher EAC numbers then your number you can "KIND" of get an ideal of where they may be in the NOA1 process. FOR ME: Some lower EAC numbers and some higher EAC numbers have been resolved or notices sent. My application (NOA1) is being worked on at this moment, and I feel my method I should see an updated status on my application within the next 10 days.. Either I will be right or come back to post I was WRONG... See we didn't process that little tidbit of information. We all assumed you meant that nasty #### NOA2... can't stop giggling now. Example your number is EAC1190276990 I just checked EAC1190276971 which shows completed and they are now working on EAC1190276972 and up... so each day you can track others peoples status and see where your status is.. Really not cheating - just a way to track your visa application better.. Hope this helps : ) unfortunately this just shows me there are literally thousands that have been processed after mine and I'm still waiting. For some of us it was done over SKYPE. Others I'm sure were just alone. BUT... We are starting a new year and it is up to make it what we want. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Reaching the 6 month mark with no news :(	I can truly relate to your case. We have been in the same boat now for awhile. We are going into our 9 th month. We have taken every avenue to obtain any response from USCIS that was helpful. The congressional inquiry was useless the first time and we are just in the process of giving it a second go. Info pass did nothing more than send an email to USCIS which resulted another email from USCIS stating my fiance was indeed at an appointment. All disheartening to say the least. Not sure I can give you any positive information at this point. I am , just for the record, going through VSC but the procedures are the same for each of them. Let's keep our thoughts positive and our fingers and toes crossed for the illusive NOA2 shortly into the New Year. ps - On one of the calls to the USCIS call centre the girl was mumbling to herself and obviously reading something and said something about "looks like a valentines present for you". (SA) The divorce issue seems to be a common opps, #1 is not sending copies of the final divorce decree. I read on one person recently that completed the I-129F only and sent it in, of course he got a denial response. Oh good. i thought I had totally lost my sense of reasoning. This sucks but I believe that everything happens as it should. Even if we don't like it..lol.. In the time since we filed first I have lost Dad, Stepdad, and 4 weeks ago my Mom. If things had gone through the first time I wouldn't have been there to hold Mom as she passed. A denial and not an RFE usually means the packet was very incomplete or not valid (ie someone not divorced at time of filing) It seems we jumped the gun and I was 5 days short of being free to marry at the time we filed. I was divorced but the waiting period was not up when we filed.. Dumb ####..... Doesn't matter that they didn't look at our petition for 5 months or so..lol.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Letter of Denial	Well as crappy as it was to receive a denial with all the waiting and frustration we went through to get some kind of an explanation, we still have not received our letter of denial. We put in a service request and was told they would resend it. Called again with no help. A lady called from USCIS and asked if we had received the letter yet and we explained NO and it was supposed to be resent. She said they would resend once again. We checked to make sure they were using the correct address and she said they sent to whatever address we had on file. We know they have the correct address because they sent the first NOA1 correctly. This is the kind of ####### we went through the whole sad process. We don't really know what else to do. We have refiled a new petition as we are 99.999999% sure of the reason and have followed the requirements to a "T". It would however be nice to have the paper for our records. Any suggestions anyone? We would like to know if that okay and we will not have any problem about that idea. Thanks in advance. I do suggest you get moving on your wedding because you have much paperwork to get going on. You can also do a quick legal wedding and then plan your wedding for the family and friends. Thanks my opinion. I would hate for time to get ahead of you. Hi There I don't mean to take the wind out of your sail but there is soooo much more to this process than waiting a few months for the approval. In a perfect world you will be done with the first part in about 7-9 months. If not so lucky and you missed something in your petition you will receive an RFE that will add a couple more months onto your timeline. Then if things really hit the fan and you get a denial... well then the process begins again. Trust me make no plans until you have the visa in the hand of the beneficiary. You need your job to prove you can support the two of you for awhile. By all means take a couple of vacations accumulate more proof of your relationship. This process is not for the faint of heart. Ok so pretend that other petition didn't happen read the guideline completely, start collecting the needed documents to file correctly and just plain be better informed. There is all the info you need here. If you are unsure just ask. We were denied as well after receiving an RFE after 5 months and then another 4 months for the denial and then another 2 months for the letter. It was our fault however aggravating it is. It makes me nervous as my best friend also went through the process and the mail carrier would not forward the mail from USCIS. He told them it wasn't allowed to be forwarded and it was sent back to USCIS. Maybe someone will chime in on change of address time frame at USCIS level. I'm visiting my fiance for the summer and I too wasn't sure how to handle my mail so I put a hold on my mail until I return. All my bills are paid online. Just wanted to share, my interview went great and Visa approved Thank you sooo much to everyone on this forum for all the questions answered and constant support and encouragement. I will probably do a review soon, just got home. A few things were different from what is currently mentioned so I'll share that soon. One thing, for Woking Medical you now only need 1 passport photo. The update hasn't been posted, but that is what they said last week and sent me out of there with the two remaining photos.
