K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	TS Clearance & K-1	I have held various level for over 30 years straight. Having a foreign spouse especially from a less than former best friend country makes it difficult and the SBI could just make it an impossibility. Most companies are smart enough to submit the most apt to be cleared person before then less than clean one. The SBI counld have very specific country restrictions. I have seems SBI's prohibit people of the jewish faith and people from specific countries. Just because you foudn some post on the internet does not make you an expect on anything. i've held a sbi for 30+ years, btw, so i do have some experience on this subject... having a foreign spouse used to be a no-go. it was an automatic disqualification to hold that level of clearance. however, things have changed. the op asked about holding the job and clearance prior to marriage - just like i went through. as long as one keeps the security people informed, there's a good chance he'll retain that clearance as he's not trying to hide anything. example: i went through a bring up investigation while married to a foreign national several years ago with no problems. i've never heard about the sbi having country specific restrictions. it does investigate the individual's loyalty to the us, taking into account foreign contacts/connections to another country. it also takes into account the spouse, whether he or she has questionable contacts/connections, questionable history, background, etc, along with his or her immediate family. lastly, to toss out that it prohibits people of a specific religion is untrue and offensive.	charles! TS with SBI doesn't usually go well with a foreign family member that depends on many factors. to make a blanket statement like that is unfair to the op. more in just a few minutes.	charles! Tear the visa out of your passport and send it in with a notarized letter asking them to cancel all. the above is not good advice. the passport belongs to the country, not the individual, and the individual is not authorized to remove any part of it for any reason.	charles! As to the OP, if your case is straight forward and you are a detail oriented person, then the visa process should not be a problem for you. If you either don't feel capable of doing the paperwork, or your case requires a legal profesional, then you should seek the advice of an attorney. However, you should be careful that there are many services out there that claim to be legal professionals but are nothing more than a former paralegal. So take a hard look at yourself, and read up on some of the guides on this site. Don't be afraid to ask questions, or even send someone a PM. An I-94 is a form denoting the Arrival-Departure Record of particular foreigners used by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) uses Form I-94 also. many of us are familiar with this form as we've seen it passed out on flights heading to the usa. terminology is very important, as previously noted. if one gets their terms mixed up while offering advice to another member, you could be sending someone off armed with loads of misinformation. in summary - please take corrections to terminology gracefully.	charles!
