Yeah, two RFE's after waiting a month for my grandmother to send me her AOS stuff. First RFE pushed us back three weeks due to a supervisor review, then Canada Post screwed up with a piece of mail on the second RFE, so that pushed us back another month.

I called NVC yesterday to confirm that my case had been complete. He told me that it was complete and I just have to wait for my interview date. He said they were scheduling a bunch of interviews in January. I know that I am not going to get an interview in January since I just recently completed, BUT I thought those of you who've been waiting for months (i.e. Igg) would like to know! I'm having a "Hmm" moment from a link that Missa posted. In the link, it gives a quick bio blurb about the Deput Consul General, aka the super nice director guy!

In it it says, "Prior to his arrival in September 2007." TM, wasn't there a noted speed increase around the end of 2007? I'm wondering if there is a connection.

Adjustment of Status is for non-immigrant visas. IR1/CR1 is an immigrant visa.


really. So what's next after my wife and son get their green cards? I've been solely focussed on getting to the interview for their visa's I haven't done any research past it....


Nothing beyond removing conditions (CR1) or renewing the green card, or applying for citizenship.

The consulates fall under the umbrella of the Department of State (DOS). DCF's don't go to NVC, as far as I understand.

I suppose. For me, though, I've always included a cover letter with anything official. Too long being an admin assistant, I guess.
