A May filer was approved, from TSC which I assume was transferred to CSC. Slow day...

Who got approved? I see an updated timeline today from an original TSC filer, but their approval was for the 25th. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Good afternoon my fellow May filers...geez..I expected to get online here and see lots of approvals from over the weekend..what's up CSC & NVC..my friends need their approvals!!!

I also checked the USCIS website on my case and it still says "pending" As long as I have my NOA2, it's fine, but kinda wierd they still haven't updated it. Hey afterforever, did they update yours?

ramzis, mirla, byron, rodgiegirl (and all other May filers of course) I'm thinking about you and ready to do the happy dance with you as soon as we hear your good news!

Keep your chin up..it's got to be soon!

(I posted this on the May filers thread earlier and thought I'd posted it here as well, sorry. I'm really hoping you all get great news tonight via snail mail (like mine) or email!!)

Well, when you guys get your approvals today (how's that for trying to be positive?), there are still plenty of seats in this waiting room (the one where we wait for CSC to send our NOA2's to NVC) and we can all celebrate the fact that at least the NOA2's are here. At least it hasn't been a 5 month wait (just 2-6 weeks) here like it was for the NOA2! Hopefully they start sending those out to NVC soon...please!!

I have a theory that the fires closed the CSC and that's why we heard nothing today. Laguna Nigel is not that far from some places getting evacuated. I bet you anything a lot of people called in sick if they did not close the place down.

The fires did not affect the CSC. Everything at that location is still up and running.

Actually some of their field offices were closed yesterday due to the fires, but who knows which or how many of their offices handle our petitions. They should hurry up and get our packets to NVC..after all that waiting..oops..I mean hard work they did, I'd hate to have those packets in their way!

The only time a field office gets a k petition is if it is in AP and they want to interview you.

Ok, thanks. I had heard a while back that they were using people from the field offices to assist with the back logged petitions and help train the newbies, so I wasn't sure if they still were or if it actually affected K1's.

Too many emoticons? Again?

You're just a dancin' fool, aren't you??

Typically the oldest son is responsible for caring for the aging parents, he also inherits everything (whether he wants to or not). I used to tell my fiance when we first started dating, that his older brother is lucky, he gets everything..the house, the business, other properties, etc. And he said "NO..I wouldn't want it and I feel sorry for my brother...he's stuck with everything! He can't move out, he's responsible for my parents (although my fiance & his sister said they would share that responsibility) and he has to keep working for the family business...really not much of a life of his own." Many of the duties/responsiblities are different from family to family depending on their situation. My fiance's brother can't change anything unitil his parents are gone.

It's not being nosy..just curious. I love learning about various cultures and the reasons behind why they are the way they are. I've traveled to and lived in a few different countries, something my fiance and I would like to do more of in the future.

I tried to post a couple of emoticons, but it says there's an error..too many with yours in the reply!

To u2rsobad,

It is very nice that you guys have dated for 11 years and finally marry. I have been with my fiance for 7 years since my junior year in highschool as an exchange student. And I wan not able to disclose about him to my family for a long time. A few months ago, my great grandmother died and everthing in my family was changed and finally I told my family that I am planning to marry and move to the US. And my fiance (USC) came to meet my family and actually my parents liked him. He is well educated and has a decent job even though he is a new graduate. And we are not planning to have a child, so my parents agree to let us marry kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

Me curious again tongue.gif ...Is that normal that they let you get married only if you don´t plan to have a child? I think children are very nice and they are part of the family...? unsure.gif

Thank you for your wishes Maria and John and Ur2sobad biggrin.gif

No that is NOT usual. Maybe she means they don't plan on having a child right away. Son's have a little different responsibility in the family than daughters do and I've been told that's why many (not all) families are reluctant to let son's marry foreigners

Congratulations to you and your fiance and I'm sorry to hear about your great-grandmother.

His family and I have always gotten along very well until we told them many years ago that we wanted to marry, but his father did not want his son to marry an American even though he asked me to help his son to get a job after he graduated from college, which I did. (They did however, throw a going away party for me when I left Japan...lol) It's a little different for girls to marry American men in most families. I have several Japanese friends who have married American men, but most men's families are against their son's marrying Americans. Times are changing in Japan ..slowly but surely. What part of Japan are you from? I lived in Saitama.

I was just wondering...ur2sobad...how did that happen that you have been dating for 11 years? Didn´t you wanna get married after like 7 years?

LOL..I knew I wanted to get married after 1 month! But, he wasn't ready. I lived over there for 15 years, about a 10 min walk to his family's house at the bottom of the hill. Lots of factors played into us (me) waiting. I was divorced (not very socially accepted there), had 2 children already, I'm older (no prob for him, but was for his dad) and to his family's dismay..I'm not Japanese. He's several years younger than I and wasn't ready for an instant family with me let alone being written out of his family (his father's threat..then stating "no foreign blood in this family"). Due to a death in my family, I had to move back to the USA and after being apart, he's decided he doesn't really care how his family feels, he's not going to live any longer without me. That's the jest of it in a nut shell. They say good things come to those who wait...well, I've done more than my fair share of waiting smile.gif

That data is only as reliable as the people who update their timelines. I would guess most of the pre-May 25th CSC filers who are waiting on that list aren't still waiting in real life.

Actually, most of the pre-May 25th filers are indeed still waiting. I've chatted with several of them and unfortuately they are waiting and trying their best to be patient. The same goes for those who filed at VSC.

So great to see it happen for u2rsobad and afterforever in the past few days. Hopefully CSC doesn't get all slow and completely useless again.

And all the touches Jamie76's (as a June filer) gotten lately have made me even more anticipative...

Thanks, jentastic. I'm still floating on cloud nine and waiting for ramzis and other May & early June filers to joing me smile.gif (actually all filers, but those that have waited for what seems like forever to join first)

Let's hope it moves that quickly, although I forgot to look and see what number you were on bszooms last list on the 12th. I was #79 on 10/5 and moved to #61 on 10/12. Don't know where I would be now, but I wish we could get an actual list from USCIS. Who knows how many more are pending that don't even know about this site.

Come on CSC!! We're waiting!!

I think I was 108 on 12th...and about 30 people were approved since...so that´s how I did the math unsure.gif Though I was just looking at the statistics and I am not sure there is everybody on bszooms list...Only for unapproved May filers it still gave me a number around 67 and as for June filers around 110 are still waiting for their approval...I am in the middle of June so I should be a bigger number than 76...
Why can´t they just finish May filers already? That´s rediculous...I gave them a week for to do that like two or three weeks ago whistling.gif

I'm a filer on the last day of May, but now that they've approved a few June filers, I'm a bit jealous...come on CSC! Listen to Scott and be done with us May filers already!!

My figures are a lot different than yours. Combining CSC/NSC/TSC K1's I see 67 open petitions sent in May and 102 open petitions sent in June. At the CSC/NSC/TSC K1 approval rate for the last 30 days of 3.40 approvals per day, it will take approximately 50 days to finish up May & June.

Don't feel bad. At VSC's 30 day approval rate it will take them 211 days to finish April, May & June. crying.gif

Okay..my lunch break is over so I'm here to report my findings...

I spoke with a really nice man and told him that I was concerned about my petition because I had not heard anything since I called to have a new NOA1 sent out due to not receiving the first one. I was hoping he could tell me whether or not my petition had gotten lost in the shuffle with them being so overwelmed recently. He put me on hold for a couple of minutes then came back and said "don't worry ma'am, your case was assigned to an officer yesterday on the 16th and although it doesn't show that a decision has been made yet, you should be hearing something soon." I thanked him for his kindness and told him that he just made my day and that I hope he has a great day. He told me to have a nice day as well and I said thanks to him, I would be!

YEA!!! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

At least a feel a little more relieved...we should be hearing something soon!! I so appreciate everyone here..it's nice to be able to share this long long journey with others that know how I feel. good.gif

I do not want to lose hope but it is taking all my energy everyday to stay postive. Please USCIS give us our approvals this week good.gif

I'm right there with ya. I'm usually a very positive and somewhat patient person (maybe you've guessed that based on the amount of time I've been with him), but this process is really testing me.

All you had to do was ask. Here's a bunny with a pancake on its head.

Cute bunny! It's been a boring day due to only 1 approval...we need many...that'll pump up the excitement!! Come on CSC & VSC...gives us something to be happy and excited about! (Other than the bunny, of course!)

BTW, how are you getting your banner to work? Mine stopped and I tried to redo it today, but no luck

Check my post in the thread about signatures.

But your banner isn't working either and there are some users here who can still use them...hummm

HUH? I see my banners.

Doesn't everyone? Getting worried...

BTW the banners you see that are working for other people are from other sites, not from smileygenerator.us

Yes, I see them now. Earlier there was nothing there..nothing was showing up, but they are now..thanks
