K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I-129F June Filers	I got some good news... my fiance got his interview date yesterday!! It's set for Jan 28th at 8:30am. I'm so excited I can't sit still!! We were originally hoping to be married 12/28, but with all this waiting, that didn't happen, so now we're looking to Feb! He has sent an e-mail enquring on the number, as he was recommended to. We'll try your phone number too. All the best. This is the number listed on your NOA2. You can also try the state dept, but they won't have a number until NVC assigns one to it, so it won't do any good to call them at this point. After NVC receives it from VSC and enters it into the system, they'll assign the number. Once it leaves NVC, you can call the state dept after a few days to find out if the embassy has received the case. State Dept # 202-663-1225 option 1 then 0 to speak to a visa specialist. They recommend 3 copies one for you, one to give at the interview and one for your SO in case something happens to the other copy. Some places will notarize for one fee if it's the exact same document they are notarizing, but others charge per page to be notarized. NVC received it last Friday and it's leaving NVC for Tokyo today and I got my new case number. I'm so excited!! What a rollercoaster of emotions over the last few weeks, I'm so glad this part is over! Thanks so much to all of my friends here at VJ for your support! Nothing to report, was approved on 10/18, NVC does not have it and spoke with a supervisor at CSC...they have no idea where our paperwork is So much for my NOA2! It really is too bad that we were all told to continue either sending to NSC or TSC when they were no longer processing cases. I don't have my boarding passes. When I got engaged I was an Indian citizen. So even the stamps which are a proof of my travel are on Indian passport. I sooooo don't want them to get confused If I send them that. I do have my American passport now and travelled to India last month. However, they specifically asked for evidence that I have met her before June.... weired... maybe cause that is when I applied?? Can I still send them evidence that I met her last month too??? Do you have pictures, hotel receipts, etc as proof from when you two were together in the last 2 years? I would send those and copies of the passport pages showing you were there with an explaination of why the stamps are in a different passport. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. If the date changes...even if the message doesn't (and it won't change until approved or you get an RFE), that means you were "touched". Unfortuenately, it's VERY normal for them not to touch/update. My adjudicated went from a few dates in Aug. to several in Sept. and even more in Oct. and then thru the first week of Nov.!! I was finally approved on 10/18 (hard copy on 10/22) with no update on the website until 11/1 and still no email from CRIS. Now I'm waiting in the mail staging area at CSC. I read the post you made through your link, and while it's good to have an NOA1, it's not needed at the interview...however, the NOA2 is the one you need. Hopefully they don't miss that one up. Many people never get NOA1's. Did the receipt number on the back of your check match the number on your NOA1? Good luck!
