K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	VISA APPROVAL--OH Happy Day .	Thanks guys for all the congrats and best wishes . The following is the reports that my fiancee related to me . Day 1 --Medical -She went to St Lukes Clinic at about 8.00 am . She was like No 150 . After showing the necessary documents to get started , and pay the fees --she proceeded to have a pre-screener ask her many questions about her past medical history . She then proceeded to have her check-up , X-rays , Blood tests , and other tests . She was finished for the day at about 300 pm .They told her to come back at 1200 next day . Day 2 - Anxiously waiting since today will determine if you passed the medical or not --lol . Her documents was stamped Immunization --that means you can proceed to take the appropriate vaccines and complete the Medical .It is a go (great relief) She showed them her Appointment Letter and they said that they will forward the results to the Embassy within 2 days .They gaved her a copy of the Xray on a CD . Day 3 --Attended the CFO seminar and completed the Counselling session .( Will get the sticker when we pass through Manila on our way to the Usa.) Day 4--Rest day Day 5 ---She went to the Embassy at approximately 430 am . After showing the necessary documents to get in , she was interviewed by a pre-screener (pinay ) and told to wait for further instructions . After the finger-printing , she attended an interview with an American woman (she was very polite and nice ) . They asked her about 10 questions about her, myself and our relationship (where we met, how long is our relationship , about my work , her work ,when did I visit her , when we plan to get married , when is her travel plans , and if we plan on getting married within 90 days upon arrival ) . The lady also ask her to show a couple of photos of us together. Then the Magic words '' YOUR VISA IS APPROVED'' . My honey smiled and thanked her and left one happy person . My Fiancee did it all in 1 week since she travelled from Mindanow .She opted to pick up her Visa at the 2Go office within 10 days . It was a tiring week but a rewarding one .As soon as she got back to her hotel --she shared the good news and we chatted via skype .Needless to say --I was the happiest man since our journey is getting shorter . I will be able to see my honey very soon . Thanks again guys for all the helpful posts on VJ. I hope you guys can all get approved and be with the one you love soon. According to Ignors list --they are some dating back to June who are not approved . I agree anything over 6 mths is long . I hope you guys hear something soon . K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	; almost 7 months and still no NOA2	; hey guys!!! yeah!! 1. We put in a SERVICE REQUEST on April 27th. And they told us we have to wait 30 days. Most likely a decision will be made within the 30 days. If not, we have to call again.. GRRRR!!! 2. we sent our I-7001 form May 5th to our Ombudsman, and we received an E-mail that they successfully received our forms and they are viewing our case. (nothing heard from him, yet) 3. we sent our letter to our Senator last week, hopefully he received it already. We did everything we possibly could. This is soooo nerve-wracking and I really have sleepless nights!!!!!!!! =( I have a itty-bitty of HOPE left, but I'm afraid it will be gone very soon.. Especially if we haven't heard anything after 27th of this month!!! Chanah -- At my 6 mth mark --my Senators and Congressman was able to get my petition expedited based on ONPT(Outside Of Normal Processing Time ) . Philippines	Stranger things have been said...BUT	LOL that is some funny stuff man...I heard that one too about the pointed nose thing, then her friends and family tell me I am not black because of my features. I just cracked up. Another time Kim told me that pinay want white guys so that their babies would be born with blonde hair and blue eyes. I was like really, how is that working out because I have yet to see a filipino/white mixture produce those qualities. Maybe it's happen before I just never seen it. All in all people are more shallow than others. Thom --many pinays that I met there dont have that inferiority or color complex --just a few fickle mindled ones . The educated ones are more open minded . Love transends all barriers .If they are looking to have blue eyes babies and blond hair and 6 ft tall kids --then they should have them cloned I have many white friends who are married to pinay girls and their kids look more like asian than cacasian . I am not angry at anyone and my lady made me realize that some are just not as educated or cultured as others. America is going to be an eye opener for a few and will make them or break them. You are right about that Thom . Maybe if they go to N.Y or california --it will be a cultural shock for them , and they better adjust fast . Its funny --when I was there , I told them I was a negrois (native filpina)--(I hope I get the spelling right --lol) They are darker than I , and their hair is more ''kinker '' than mine --lol . When I was in the Pi to see my Fiancee --many persons stared at me and my fiancee also in the malls and in the parks . When they did that my fiancee held me tighter and even kissed me .It was funny --they say to me that they love my straight nose (like a white guy )--lol . Her parents and family loved me . Maybe as many said they prefer ''white complexion guys '' . Or just maybe they see many of the music videos and rap songs where the lyrics is demeaning to the women . I know your fiancee loves you and you love her . Thats all that matters . Hope you can get her out of that place and from amoung those ''steropying ladies ''. Philippines	am I cheap?	Mine works and is college educated. A very nice girl and funny. The only thing about her is that she does not want to understand that I am not a rich guy. She will NEVER understand that and seems to dont care whether you are rich or not or can afford it ot not . She maybe works for about $200-300 a month in the Pi . She scams you for money she makes in a year (if ever ) . I have read some earlier posts dating back several months while in the process and you were having problems since then .You should have seen the ''red flags ''. But as I said --the choice is yours . Philippines	Medical (Sputum)	My buddy came to USA 2 years ago on a work visa from Norway, His wife from Philippines came on his Visa to USA. After being in USA about 1.5 years she went to do her AOS. Found out she was positive for TB, all they did was tell her to stay in her house and for a few weeks while she took her TB medicine. Funny how she was able to get into American by a backdoor. Then you have all these Illegal Aliens from Mexico, estimated 20 million. That come to USA illegally and they are never checked for disease, Criminal history, and once the make it illegally to the USA they are welcomed with opened arms by the USA Government... TCO --do u ever read what u write before u post ?? If someone comes illegally --how are they checked ? who checks them (for disease and criminal history) . The illegals come thru the back door without being detected by the customs . Who in the Usa govt welcomes them with open arms . ???? Philippines	First time immigrant airfare	PAL. (Philippine Airlines) As to what I did, I called few travel agencies and see who offers me the best/lowest airfare MNL - LAX. They will be able to offer you the first time immigrant discount. Don't buy ticket directly from PAL. This is what I paid: Fare: $396 Foreign Taxes: $148.60 Ph Taxes: $34.30 Total: $578.90 When you get to the airport you only have to pay travel tax. The agency covered the others. Philippines	Still no NOA1	Did your fiancee send the petition registerd mail ? Dont he have a tracking no. to see if it had been received ? Philippines	Manila CFO	Other posters here are welcome to correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that most applicants who fail the medical are informed of this fact at the time the medical is given. If they said nothing to your fiancee, then it is more than likely that she passed, and it will not be an issue at the interview. Just my thoughts. You know whether you pass or fail the Medical on Day 2 . if you come back and your paper is stamped Immunizations (a PASS )--you are good to proceed with the Immunizations . If not stamped with that --then you have to do further tests as required (a NO GO ) . They will tell you on day 2 . Without the medical --you cannot proceed further . Philippines	One Week in Manila	yes, I agree , that one week in manila, st. lukes is the worst part of it. You are always praying until you hear the passed. Then you worry about the embassy, and does she really know enough about you to pass. It is one of the most stressful weeks you have. or stressful times on each step. There so many major hurdles I agree with you . I am going through it now . My Fiancee just passed the medical and now for the last hurdle --the Interview . I am more anxious and stressed than her . . Hopefully if we can get that cleared up this month, and her passport, then we'll schedule an interview for probably June or July. Everything is depending on this birth certificate issue right now... Wow so you're sending close to $1000 just for expenses? Hmmm, so I guess Manila is more expensive. Kris --I am just covering all my bases if any additional expenses comes up . And yes --manila is more expensive --they charge you more for everything . Besides my fiancee will use the extra money to prepare for the trip to the USA later.
