I know I'm not all alone here but still it's been 6.5 months and no word from VSC yet. Called several times, opened 2 service request, the only response I got.."Under Review". I'm now thinking of a writing a complaint letter to Secretary and President about how bad situation here with VSC. Forgot to mention, fowarded issue to State Senator and Congresswoman, no word yet from either one. VSC sucks! Hang in there buddy --you are the ''Last of the Mohicians '' . Today is six months since NOA1 so I called both my senator's and congressman's offices, then emailed them a copy of my NOA1. After 3 hours I received this message from the Senator's staffer: Just wanted to let you know that your application has been approved, it will be sent to the National Visa Center, then to the Embassy for an interview date. Please call me if you have any questions. I called her on the phone since she left me a voice mail, too, and she said I won't see it on the USCIS website for a while, but that she spoke to someone at the VSC who confirmed that we are approved as of today. Did anyone else have the same experience? I'm really happy, but not ready to totally believe it until I get that text or see it on the website. Also, the congressman's staffer emailed this message to me and I'm not sure I understand what she means... Is it possible to bypass the NVC somehow? It seems like that's what she's talking about: Also, once this is approved I want to call the NVC for the visa. We recently had a similar case and instead of the petitioner filing everything here and having to wait, they allowed the consulate in Tokyo to accept everything form the applicant themselves because it took so long for it to be processed in VT. I will try and do the same for you. That case was also held up in VT and the day we made the inquiry it was approved. Not saying that is going to be the case here, but I will keep my fingers crossed. In any event... Things are WAY better than they were yesterday. Call your representatives!!!! They really can help. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Everyone should stop acting like big babies	As someone earlier stated, it's healthiest to accept the process as a 8-9 month wait. It could be longer or shorter. Those for whom it's longer I do admire for their patience. I don't mind people using this forum to vent, but if it gets personal that's a different story. This site offers many things, but most importantly it helps us all to remain sane. The waiting is so difficult. It helps to know you're not the only person going through this stuff. So we hit the 6 month mark yesterday and our congressional liason had told us we would receive a formal decision no later than April 13th. So I made all the calls and everyone said our case was still in "initial review" I was clearly not happy with that. So I called the congress person working my case. She made a phone call and said "you're approved!" So we were very happy and excited but I never got the email or text message confirming anything. Waited all day and got nothing. So today I checked the website and called VSC and they said I was still in initial review and that maybe I needed to wait an additional 34 days because they are still only processing case from September 11, 2010... which is clearly not true because I know some of you from October and November even have been approved. (congrats by the way ) So I asked "If I were a congressional liason, who would I be speaking to in order to get information on this case?" He transfered me to a "second tier" person in customer service. And that guy confirmed that we are approved and were approved on April 12th! They apparently sent us the NOA2 in the mail 2 days ago. We signed up for email/txt notifications so I don't know why we didn't get that. Oh well, we are so so so so happy to get our good news and will be even more happy when the NOA2 comes in the mail so we can frame it or something! So I wanted to tell those of you getting to the 5 and 6 month mark get your congressman and both senators involved! This is what we pay taxes for!! Our senators didn't do much but our congressman's people were great! And don't take whatever junk the bottom tier of VSC tells you, get your call escalated to someone who has more information because clearly the people at the bottom are not well informed and the website is not up to date. Good luck to all of you still waiting, just keep working on the things you can control. On to the next step... calling the NVC daily Congrats on yr approval . K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	206 Days of Waiting NOA2 (VSC)	Hello VJs, It has been 206days since we received our NOA1. My fiance called them many times but they said that they are processing on September 11 filers. How could they tell that to us when in fact we have seen so many October and November filers who are approved? At least they should give us a fruitful answer rather than leaving us "wondering". Then my fiance decided to see a congressman in the local office. Instead of giving us enlightenment, the congressman told him that our petition is still within the normal processing. How could it be? This is really ridiculous. His respond has nothing difference with the customer service. We don’t what to do now. Your advice and suggestions are highly essential. Thank you! 1. When they say they are processing sept 11 filers --they are processing cases in batches (Sept 11--30) . 2. Each case is different --some may have their backgroung checks back in a short time , others may take longer . 3.
