Filed on 1st Oct, took exactly 5 month 10 days....not bad. (CSC) Big hurdle is over but got to prepare for next one now. I have couple of questions- 1. Does beneficiary need police cert for all places she stayed after 18 yr? What exactly this cert mentions and how difficult it's to get? I am talking about Chennai embassy and its difficult to deal with police dept in India! 2. Do I need to send my passport to fiancee to carry it for interview? It contains all stamps of my visit. Im past 5 months	I disagree,I think people that are in a bind should definately call they're congressman,but because it's only been 5 months of waiting?...Sorry not importnt enough reason for me. Thats maybe good for u but not for others . (1 ) --u can just jump on a plane or take a road trip and see yr fiancee once a month , (2) It is easy and cheap to communicate with each other , (3) Maybe you guys have all the time in the world before you marry and start a family , (4) you dont miss having yr love ones close to u . It was dated yesterday, even though I checked my case status online at 8am this morning and it still said "Initial Review." I got the vibrate in my jacket pocket around 8:30am while waiting for the bus. I gasped when I saw the email. The stranger standing next to me said "Did you just get good news about the bus?" If only I could explain. Thanks for all the support along the way. I'm still fighting for your cause, September filers!! Congrats --u have been waiting a while --lol . It gives us hope now . They said to call back in 16 days to be outside normal processing times. Do anyone have any similar experiences, maybe recieved there NOA2 after calling so many time or close to outside processing time. I have already got my congressman invovled nothing happened!!! I joined the twitter movement........what's next???? Wait , wait and more wait . Mari and I had just finished skyping and encouraging one another on the painful wait. We said goodnight and I went to check email one last time before going to bed and THERE IT WAS. I couldn't believe my eyes. I immediately had to call her phone as she had signed off of skype. She went back to skype (so we can save money) and I was able to tell her what I have been waiting to tell her for so long now... We are approved!!!! After celebrating and wishing for everyone else to get approved also, we both said goodnight with happier hearts for a change. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	People Waiting for NOA2 for I-129F Petitions...	we all know how hard it can be to wait. i know because i've sent mine in the middle of november... instead of having people post things like "what can i do to speed things up?!" or "how much longer?" we should have the people that HAVE had their NOA2s approved RECENTLY tell us how long it took. i think if the people that got their NOA2 post regularly in some pinned thread, people awaiting their NOA2s can look briefly through the latest posts to have an estimate as to when he/she can expect it. i think the only way to get a good idea as to how long it will take for you to get an NOA2 is to see how others have been doing. and when i say others, i mean those that turned their I-129F petition slighty before you did. mentioning where it's located (e.g. California Service Center) it's just a thought. not sure if there is a better way to ease the pain of waiting. i just know something like this would help me. Nov filer and is worried already . How about the Sept and oct filers who already did 6 mths and more . Just chill --Expect the best and prepare for the worst . My NOA1 date was in late January! So I open my messages expecting to see an RFE and was dreading it! Imagine my shock when I see my petition approval or NOA2 and that its heading to the Natl Visa Center! OMG!! My advice to to others...use Visa Journey's guidelines and form examples to maintain a thorough package and pray!!!!! Congrats but with due respect --it was none of the following you mentioned . It was because yr fiancee was from the Dominician rebublic that yours was expedited . K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Get a Grip!	Just had to write a post for those people who constantly complain about the new filers posting and venting. I hope all filers receive their NOA2's as fast as possible. I feel bad for the cases that have been waiting for 5,6 or even 7 months without so much as a touch. Just because new filers haven't waited as long does not mean they do not feel the same frustration as those who have waited longer. No matter when you filed, you should be able to post your thoughts or frustrations without some jerk telling you that you have no right to be frustrated because you have not been waiting as long as he has. This is no competition and I am sure all of us are prepared to wait as long as we need to. Unfortunately we are all at the mercy of our assigned service centers. Next time you read the post of a new filer, try to give them a break and realize that we are all apart from the ones we love. You need to start complaining after 5 mths (that is the estimated time set by the USCIS ) . Complaining after 3 mths will only frustrate the ones who file after you and is sending the wrong message . When you filed --you knew the processing time --so stop wining . Okay so its been 2 weeks shy of 5 months and ive still not heard anything from vermont service center for my fiance's visa..I filed a I-129F back in November,2010..i recieved my NOA1 on November 12,2010 and thats it. Nothing requesting more info, just said it was being processed..yea,the check i sent them was processed quick! lol but as for my paperwork....not so much! Im gettin a little fed up with vermont service center, its taking longer than 5 months now to recieve approval. Going by their processing times, i set my wedding date for may 21,2011..its cutting it close, looks like ill be changing that soon.My congressman was quick to help but he is also waiting on a response from them to find out if they can get mine going since my wedding is paid for. Anyone have any good news for me??? im going insane!! My advise is start cancelling all plans --go to plan B --As many have said and the website advises --DO NOT MAKE ANY PLANS UNTIL YOU HAVE THE VISA IN HAND . Sorry to out a damper on things --but you are NOT going to make it for that date . They are still working on sept 11 petitions . If you wish to plan ahead --plan on the next 4 mths .
