You made assumptions about what they did but the assumptions are incorrect. they didn't send a spousal petition. While waiting for the fiancee petition to be approved they got married. This will invalidate the fiancee petition. They need to cancel it and file spousal petition. It adds time to the process but shouldn't pose any other problems as long as the fiancee visa petition gets cancelled. Yes, we were getting tired of waiting back then! Our petition was approved by USCIS & sent to NVC Aug29, NVC received our file, gave our mnl case# & sent to USEM Oct15. USEM confirmed to have received our physical file on Oct 31. We did not get any letters from NVC or USEM, we received confirmations by calling & emailing them constantly to ff up. I was able to book an appointment for interview yesterday, the earliest available slot was already for January 2.. They told me that I lack 1 more shot w/c will be available monday but I need to pay 500 for pregnancy test. Tdap was not available on my 2nd day of medical. I read that others did not receive the envelope & some like me received them.. Does anyone know why they give the envelope to others?
