The NVC sent my approved fiancee petition to USEM in manila on FEB. 18 2009

Call the embassy and make a interview appointment. Have your lady do her St. Lukes medical ASAP.
She can use the NOA2 approval notice.


I agree with Haole. good.gif plus not everybody receives notification from the USEM (i don't know why). I called USEM a week after NVC sent my papers to USEM.

No. I like the milk here in the US compare to the milk in PH but sad to say that immigration and airports will not allow you to bring any liquids in your luggage or balikbayan box.

fed-ex, ups, dhl or any private couriers that you can track the docs itself... we used fed-ex before. seems pretty reliable... good luck!

My husband was never asked for Cenomar when we got married in PH. What he only submitted was his Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage which we got from USEM, his BC and divorce decree. I don't really think that you need to have Cenomar and this is the first time i heard of a cenomar being asked to an American..

Another example of why you should plan on having your medical at least 3 weeks early. You could wait until your cough/cold goes away. People "may"have had to do the 8 week sputum test because they had possible signs of TB from colds and congestion.


i agree good.gif i had a prob in my medical (not related to cough or TB) but good thing that i went 3 weeks before my interview or else my interview date would have been moved. Again, i hope everything will turn out good on your medical. smile.gif

i have read a couple or three stories here that they went under sputum or skin test because they went on their medical with cough. sorry i can't remember their names but if i were you try to get enough rest , drink plenty of citrus drinks, relax and pray smile.gif

I went ahead and sent 2 boxes at 70lbs each to m husband thru manila forwarders. I did not encounter any problems, save for the US customs paperwork. I have looked for a company other than DHL, FedEx et al and unfortunately, i have not found any that would ship from the Phils to the US witha reasonable price. Even Johnny Air, which was going to charge me $230 to ship jsut 1 70lb box. Easier to send from US to Phils.

Oh...shippers will not accept food, pirated items, and ALL liquids (lotions, body wash, shampoos, et al), including bar soaps. I sent some of our clothes, books, toys, all-orig DVD's (they can open and check for all i care), some of my bags, too. And don't forget to put a packing list in the boxes and keep a copy of it for youself.

here is a hint: if the security guard asked you to proceed to the immunization room then that means you passed the medical exam. if the security asked you to proceed to releasing section/area then that means you have a prob in your medical.

if i were you, i'll bring my medical records stating that my TB was healed and and i'll present it to SLEC.
