PhilippinesNOA2 then now whats the next step?
First of all I want to congratulate you on your approval! star_smile.gif

VSC will forward your papers to NVC and hopefully NVC will send your papers to USEM a week after NVC got your papers. What you need to do now is to get CENOMAR and BC at NSO, NBI, and gather all the proof of genuine relationship while waiting on your papers to arrive at USEM.

Good Luck! star_smile.gif

I once thought of sending him flowers but he didn`t like the idea. He thinks flowers are for ladies only...but in my opinion guys should receive flowers from their partners too once in a while rose.gif

You know what? I had that idea too but it's just that I can't find a website which I can send him flowers lol! Most of the websites I found is to send gifts to PH from US and NOT PH to US lol! So i end up sending him Eng-Tag Dictionary, Tagalog tutorial DVD, DVD movies, shirts etc. But you know what? I surprised him with flowers with matching chocolate and card pa on his birthday when I got here lol! and then he was surprised too bec there was door confetti when he opened our door hehe tapos I filled our bed with balloons while the birthday music is playing biggrin.gif luv.gif He was happy and told me that that is the first time he got surprised birthday party. About the flowers? He smiled and said "this is the first time I got flowers from a girl" lol! luv.gif

* I call my husband in the US to wake him up every time he needs to go to work (yes! I am his long distance alarm clock lol!) or I just wanna hear his voice. I used PLDT Budget card in calling him. It cost Php100 which is good for 33mins of conversation.
* He calls me everyday.
* I usually send him snail mails/card on every occasion. He is lazy in writing so I only got 1 card from him lol!
* He send me flowers, chocolates and teddy bear on special occasions.
* I send him mail packages on special occasions.
* We send emails too n the beginning of our relationship.
* He text me using chikka text messenger (it's free) to my cellphone and I reply to him (Php2.50 per reply)

tngirl is right good.gif I just wanna share you our experience as I think that the problem that we had has "almost" the same prob as yours.

We decided to get married on the second visit of my husband in the PH on July,2006. We got married July 16, 2006 even though we don't have our Marriage License (it was actually still on process as we were waiting on the 10 day waiting period of the Municipal Hall). We had civil ceremony and reception at Max's Restaurant and all my relatives and loved ones were there. We were actually expecting to receive the Marriage License on the day that my husband will go back in the US (he will depart July 24th night time). Apparently, the PH Govt. declared July 24th a holiday (Gloria's SONA or State of the Nation's Address) on the July 23rd. The minister who married us called me on my cellphone and informed us about that on the night of July 23rd and he explained to us that the Municipal Hall can not release our Marriage License due to that holiday. My husband and I was so pissed specially when we can't reschedule his flight. We end up all sad because he needs to leave PH on the 24th plus we weren't legally married.

Feb. 2007, my husband came back to the PH to fix our papers. We end up starting from scratch again. We went to USEM to get Legal Capacity, submitted requirements and fill out Marriage License application and this time we made sure that we have enough time to fix our papers. I know, it cost us bunches of money again but at least we followed the law and we didn't submitted fake papers.

Now, our marriage date in our NSO Marriage Certificate is Feb. 23, 2007 and NOT July 16, 2006. At first I was scared about this confusion as our wedding receipts and wedding gift cards says July 16th and not Feb. 23. I was afraid that the CO might question us about this but my husband told me not to be afraid, just tell the truth and explain what happened. Hubby told me not to be afraid as we NEVER did submitted fake documents and we actually followed the legal way on how to get married. In case the CO ask me about the July 2006, I'll just be honest to them and tell them that it was the date of our wedding ceremony.

I am not trying to scared you or add more pressure on you but I think the CO might raise his/her eyebrows if he/she sees your marriage date. How can the 2 of you get married if your husband is not here in the PH? Your situation is complicated so if I am in your situation, I will hire a lawyer and file a complaint with that minister because of what he did and I don't him to have another victim. In regards with your papers, in case you marriage get nullified because of lack of Marriage License then I'll just take K1 route than CR1 to save money.

I am really wishing you all the best and may the Lord guide your path. I know how you feel as we almost had the same situation. star_smile.gif

coz some one told me that their will be port of entry!!!

someone is yanking your chain.

things i've learned traveling:
wear dark jeans - dark clothes can hide any stains should you get anything dropped on you.
take a light jacket - it may be raining or cold at the other end, plus you can use it to keep warm if necessary.
wear tennis shoes or something that's very comfortable- it's gonna be a long flight, wearing shoes that hurt after a few hours isn't a good idea.
have an extra pair of socks - in case your feet get wet, you will need them. and yes, i have had to use them in the past.

i also travel with my own pillow, sunglasses, and a hat. i sleep most of the time on a plane using those 3 items.

good tips good.gif

i brought travel neck pillow too and i slept like a baby on plane lol! I recommend buying it caz it is very comfortable good.gif . I bought mine in SM Department store and it is very cheap. It only cost me Php100 ($2) and when i check out the price of those pillow in the US airport, they cost ($10 - $20) wacko.gif so better buy it there while you are still in Pinas smile.gif o yeah this is what it look like.

I met someone on SLEC while i was having my medical that has a scar on her wrist. They ask her to undergo psychiatric evaluation bec of her scar. She said she didn't committed suicide and she was actually laughing caz SLEC thinks that she did it caz of the scar. They ask her to pay additional Php1000 for the psychiatric exam. In case that you'll undergo that exam (but i hope you won't), just tell the truth on why you have it then everything will be fine. Philippinesmedical requirements
Confirmation letter and appointment letter are not the same although you can bring one of them in order to get in in SLEC.

Confirmation letter = is a letter that comes from USEM stating that you are already legible to schedule your interview.
Note: Not all beneficiaries receives this letter.

Appointment letter = is an email that comes from the call center. This email will be sent once you already scheduled your interview.
NOTE: You have to call the call center in order to sched an interview.

If you didn't get confirmation letter and you haven't sched your interview yet and you want to have your medical, usually, NOA2 is what the guards from SLEC are looking for for you to get in. NOA1 is not really needed in order to get inside the SLEC premises.

Good Luck to everyone! star_smile.gif

No foods on your hand carry, even bottled water is not allowed in the airport. Liquid stuff like santitizer should not be more than 100ml. and no imitation bag pls. Von Voyage and welcome to America!

No imitation bags... why?...

Kasi imitation nga po tongue.gif masstrikto po dito sa US unlike sa Pinas. I read an article before that someone brought an imitation bag and the officers at the airport reported that person and ayun the person got a mail from the makers of the original brand and they filed a suit against that person. I am guessing that you haven't had your CFO yet? Kasi tatalakayin yung topic na yun sa CFO.

Hahahaha! Wala pa nga... pero how would I know it's an imitation or designer bags pala yon. Pero nobody ba talaga gumamit ng imitation bags here?... just wondering...

I bought mine in SM pero I am not against of those people who goes to Divi to shop. You can shop naman ng bags doon if you prefer to buy there but I recommend na buy ka na lang ng bags and luggages na hindi branded. And if you'll ask my opinion I wouldn't suggest to anyone din to take a risk of buying those imitations and bring it here. Mahirap na di ba and mabuti na yung safe.
