QUOTE (SomedaySomehow @ Jun 7 2009, 12:27 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Ya we are being told the samething right now as well ... is this something they changed recently? Must do CFO before they will issue a passport?

This is only for those Filipinas who are married to foreigners that wants to renew their passport (maiden name to married name) and for those Filipinas who are married to Foreigners applying for passport.

Philippineshow many trips to Manila
Some Pinays make 2 trips to do everything. First trip will be medical and interview. To do this your, medical day should be as least 4 or 5 days before the interview. She can have her second trip once she got her visa in Bislig. The second trip will be the seminar and visa stamping at CFO (you can do this in one day) then the next day will be their flight to the US.

If there is nothing wrong in her medical (which i hope so) then her interview date won't be change. To avoid delays, please take note of the PH and US holidays in scheduling everything and be sure that she is not on her monthly period on the day of her medical.

The best of luck! star_smile.gif

While in the philippines, try to get some skills from Tesda such as hair and make up, nail spa, even massage or dress making... this is something you could do at your home or do part time....

I agree good.gif I know that you are still grieving but I find rheanick's idea good. Since studying in PH is much cheaper compare here in the US then why not study short courses like what rheanick mentioned? It will benefit you when you get back here in the US smile.gif

You can file the I-751 now. I know someone that was is the same situation as you. They filed and was granted the 10 year GC without an interview.

To Haole: thanks so much for spending time to searched that topic.I really appreciate it.

For everybody:

I talked to my lawyer this morning and he said i can file for removal anytime since my husband passed away. He told me i can go back in the philippines next month without having a problem for coming back here. Just i need to stay in Phi not more than 5 months. We talked about im going to stay in Philippines and stay there for 3-4 months, learn to drive in there and then come back here and file for removal. Then the next time i come back here i should stay longer and get the citizenship, sending my anak in school. I know God and my hubby are always at my side.

For now,I had no money and im staying in my husband's son and depending on him right now. He's been good to me and to my daughter. I hope by the last week of this month i can get the money from SSA so i can move on and buy some things for us.

I am 21 yrs old,had 18months old wiggily baby and dont know how to drive. But i stoll thank to God that i had someone i can depend on now and thats the son of my husband. I am hoping that he will never get tired of us.

I had a plane ticket already for coming back to phi. I purchased a round trip ticket.

Good Luck in everything you do and may the Lord give you more strength and wisdom in all the probs you are facing now star_smile.gif

my dermatologist...yes, derma not OB GYNE prescribed dianne for my pimples. After 3 months of taking the pill, my face became clear and pimple free =) Medyo maganda nga effect ng dianne sa skin =)

Oo totoo yan. Kaya nga yan ang mga ginagamit ng mga bakla kasi nadadagdagan ang female hormones nila kaya nawawala yung mga muscles nila at nagiging more feminine sila. Kumikinis pa balat at lumalaki yung boobs hehe.

Ang gusto kong pills is yung maganda ang side effect pero my mind is still open for some other suggestions about pills hehe smile.gif

i heard about lots of good comments about Diane Pills. Birth control cya and at ang side effects eh puputi ka at kikinis mukha mo. Yung barkada ko dati nagkaroon ng hormonal imbalance tas niresetahan cya ng Diane Pills (Php500) she took it for 3 months pero during her 3 months eh lalo cya kuminis although makinis naman talaga cya tapos kapag naaarawan ay nagrorosy cheeks pa biggrin.gif isa pa eh hindi nakakataba. you can try to ask your OB about it if you want smile.gif

Btw, ibefore leaving the country eh magbaon ka na ng maraming pills kasi dito sa US eh hindi ka makakabili nyan unless with prescription. Sa Pinas mabibili mo Diane pills over the counter pati na rin yung iba pang pills. I read someone here na nakapagdala cya ng pills and never did encountered any prob i just don't know on how much pills you can bring smile.gif

talaga pink? I didn't know na kailangan mo nang prescription to buy birth control pills...

Is it true that one of side effects in using birth control pills is increasing in boobs size? blush.gif (well I just read it in some articles)

Askmo na lang doc mo if you want smile.gif

sa totoo lang hindi pa ako nakakatry ng contraceptive pills kasi nagta-try nga kaming magkababy and we are thankful na may on the way na smile.gif ni-share ko lang yun experiences ng mga friends ko sa Pinas pero i might try taking pills din after i give birth dahil ayaw pa namin masundan agad hehe.

I have never used any contraceptive pills so i just wanna ask you about Depo-provera if it is ok smile.gif I have 3 friends in Pinas that gained weight after having Depo-provera, is that really the effect of it? What did your doc told you about the side effects? I don't wanna be fat kasi hehe.

yikes! i dont wanna be a fat #### lol; but yes, that IS one of the side effects, and it does cause pimples too; so i dont know yet if i really will do that; I am still gonna discuss that further more with my OB; but my classmate in college did that and she's ok with it. Oh wait, she had headaches though, more like migraines; anyway, she's had 2 kids already so her OB says it's ok but for women who hasnt had kids my OB says it's not advisable to have as the main contraceptive; my OB said it's ok for me to have it just once, but it's something I still need to think over because I don't want to run the risk either of not having children in the future.

but from what was posted by someone, maybe I will see about the pills from watsons in the Phils? is that available though somewhere else or just in our country?

Then last month, I got a mail from the hospital where I am working at and it says that everybody should have annual TST. I was like "again?" blink.gif They didn't let me have the TST, instead they let me sign a waiver after telling them that I was positive in it but neg sa xray. According to them, once that you are positive in TST then you'll always be positive even after you took the medication, so it will be useless if i'll take TST again knowing the result will be positive smile.gif

Why does she has to undergo another TB test for AOS? All she need to do is to complete her vaccination and have her medical transcribed by a civil surgeon.

It's the new medical policy that USCIS requires for AOS applicants. It became effective on May 1, 2008 but with a grace period of one month. So, it came into full effect June 1, 2008. Here's the link.

My medical exam in St. Luke's was May 2008 and I was covered with the grace period given. However, I decided to go for TST for the "just in case" reasons since we didn't want to get an RFE and delay the AOS process. Besides, the CS didn't honor my chest x-ray from St. Luke's. Fortunately, my TST result was negative which is not very common among Filipinas.

Now I am wondering if you are a real Filipina unsure.gif lol! jk lang te Riza tongue.gif

Tell that to my stalker.. lol:) Most Filipinos gets TST positive is what I meant.

I was TST positive as well.. I got tested here in the US but it wasn't because of the AOS requirement. I am in line with the grace period but I just took the TST because as what Riza said.. "just in case" but as expected I got positive TST. They had me took another X ray after just 4 months intervals from my previous at St. Lukes (and has the same result)and as what you said again Riza it's like the St. Lukes X ray is useless. First I was required to undergo 6 months treatment with the medicine that has a strong side effect. After 2 months of taking it.. here comes another test//Quantiferon test and the doctor told me to stop the medication if it turned out negative. And indeed, it was negative..so medicine was stopped! They can't even give accurate reason. They said I got positive probably because of the BCG vaccine but the Quantiferon test doesn't affect the previous BCG vaccine. I'ts just crazy protocols and aliens in this country like us have to suffer. I have to undergo Xray every year to make sure that I won't develop the disease in a later part.

Bottom line.. the P10+ fees for our medical exam at St. Lukes is really not worth it. Some doctors in the US "junk" our xray results and some don't. It's up to you to decide what's best for your health.

When you mentioned the word "has not been qualified", what came into my mind is that your case is in not yet in their system . Maybe USEM got your papers technically BUT they haven't input it in their system yet that is why they said that you are not qualified to get interview schedule.

hi!
wish u a happy trip and smooth poe. i was alone too coming here for the first time and i also had multiple connecting flights mnl-hk-sanfran-denver.
as for the the clerical error on your visa, id say its not a big deal. BUT that's just my opinion. its because my visa has an error too... they double the name of my husband eg: john smith john (but his name is only john smith) and i was worried and raised this question to the forum and a lot of members back then who had the same issues told me that as long as my/your name on the visa is correct then it should be fine. my alien number on my visa was wrong too lol... i didnt know it until my aos interview... but if calling the embassy makes you feel better, i suggest you should coz they absolutely know the answer for you... God bless...

Hi Maya,

I am just curious, how did you know that your alien number was wrong? Isn't A# are all numbers? I just got curious as I am thinking now whether my A# is wrong too hehe. Miss ka na namin sa Soooo.
