Philippines	Which option?	Talking about rip-offs. Shouldn't these be all inclusive with the fare? I've used Korean, Cathay Pacific and PAL and I didn't have to pay a dime for such convenience items. It should be included but I have nothing against Hawaiin Airlines. It was more of the fact I didnt want my fiance feeling uncomfortable without a credit card and not knowing what she would be charged for or not. I thought it could make her feel uncomfortable. It is her first international flight . It made her uncomfortable also that she would have to gather her luggage and do POE in Hawaii, then recheck luggage in 1 hour and 55 minute layover. With these factors we decided to go with a different flight. If we were flying together I would have gone with Hawaiin Airlines for sure.The travel agent told me POE through Hawaii is great and that there are many filipinos in the Airport to help out. Philippines	Which option?	That's really cheap, but it is not the case for LAX. The cheap flights for $579.70 that I found with a quick search on ANA Airlines site from Manila to LAX is on tuesdays. I got the fare Nov 20, Nov 27, Dec 4. I didnt search that hard so may be other days. Anyways when you search it will say fare is $618.50 but click select and continue and it will eventually recalculate fare and it will be $579.70. It is the flight NH950 and NH006. On Hawaiian, the last two round trip flights, they supplied adaptors for your mp3 earbuds/headphones to fit into the passenger seat dual-input so I could watch the movies/listen to music. In the packet they also provided sleep blinders! It's a 10+ hour flight from MNL to HNL. What route is ANA taking? MNL to Tokyo then SFO? Philippines	Another 2GO question, no updates	I am waiting for visa now. I can track on 2go website with UID#. Her passport and MNL case number still come up as invalid but the UID# will show tracking. Our interview was Fri Oct 19 and 2Go picked up visa on Oct 25 at 3:24 pm. It was suppose to be sent to a location for pick up but somehow ended up out for delivery with courier. They finally located the visa and told my fiance she can pick it up at 4 pm today. You can try emailing using instructions below. I did and would get instant automatic updates instantly sent back.Once 2GO had it the status update from traveldocs email above said picked up. Before it was picked up it said in transit from post and in beginning said still with post. Send an email to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com and in the subject and/or body enter a valid passport number exactly as it was entered at the time the appointment was scheduled. Do not include any additional text. You will receive an automatic. response with the status. This worked for me but it all seems unreliable. Some can track with passport and others with mnl or uid#. They claim they have special prices for K1 applicants with Cathay Pacific, Philippine Airlines and American Airlines. They quoted me very good prices that included the 1620 peco travel tax. I have never used them but have heard there reliable. I went through customs/immigration after midnight. I have my passport and boarding passes right here in front of me and my passport is stamped May 17 , 2012. In my case its stamped next day. Philippines	What are good (cheap) way to phone Phil?	I bought my fiance a android phone. We installed the sim from her smart bro into the phone. I have a android phone also. You simply install the viber app on both phones for free. You can call and text 24/7 for free. We talk and text all day every day for free. In the setting you can also email your text history to yourself and print out for your interview. I also took screen shots of calls to her number as viber will keep call log in your default cell phone log with all other calls you make. It was very easy to just do so every few days and had plenty of proof of relationship.Sure there was a start up cost for her phone but she loved the present . You can also use skype, ym etc on the smart phones. Can also use iphones and i think blackberry has viber now. Im always on the go so it worked perfect for me. Also you can connect to wifi if its available. Smart worked best where my fiance lives . Depending where you live globe or sun may work better . Works great for us. Philippines	Transit visa in Japan for connecting flight	I just booked a flight for my fiance on ANA Airlines. I called and asked the airline if a transit visa was needed for my filipina fiance and they informed me it is not needed for same day connecting flights in Narita. If your asking about Narita to Haneda that I do not know. They assured me its not a problem and even said if she missed her connecting flight due to airline that they would assist her with customs and get her a visa to stay in hotel overnight. Re: Booking Flight for fiance	I called Delta Airlines about this matter what I was told was if you bought the ticket online directly off of their website you have to do the following: Credit/Debit Card Presentation To safeguard against credit/debit card fraud, the purchaser may have to show us the credit/debit card along with a valid photo ID. The time varies based on the billing address of the credit/debit card or the country of travel. If the purchaser is not traveling, they can show us their credit/debit card and ID at an airport taicket counter or another ticket office location, whichever is most convenient. I have read of others here on VJ who if fact had to drive to the nearest Delta Ticket counter here in the USA and show credit card to lift above restrictions. However they said if ticket was purchased from a travel website for example Expedia, BT Store , Cheapoair etc that it wouldnt be necessary to show credit card used and you wouldnt have to do the safeguard above. Philippines	CFO Manila Expeirience	During my fiances medical she met a girl from her province. They became friends and have been keeping in contact because their interviews for K1 visa are both coming up mid October. My fiance is waiting for all our important docs to arrive via Fedex which is scheduled to arrive Mon Oct 8. She planned to attend CFO on Weds Oct 10 after she received all our docs. Her friend was attending her CFO seminar on Thurs Oct 4 because her interview is on the 11th. My fiance lives in Manila so she decided to go to the CFO with her friend. She planned just to go check it out , see how bad the lines were, get a idea of how early she needs to be there, and support her friend. The night before she called and told me that she would just try to do the seminar with the docs she has and if they asked for anything else she could just come back since its not hard for her because she lives in Manila.I didn't like the idea after reading all the bad experiences in the past but I could tell she really wanted to go try. Finally I agreed. Oct 4 is on a Thursday so there is only a morning CFO Seminar with 30 slots available from 9 am to 12 pm. She arrived at 5:30 am because she wasn't worried if she didn't get a slot because she could just attend next week when she had all her docs. She was 7th inline at 5:30am. The class did not fill up and there were only 18 0ut of the 30 slots taken in the class. She said the people at CFO were very nice and she had a good experience. This is what documents she was asked for to attend the seminar. 1. Appointment letter for her Interview at USEM.(Wanted anything proving she had interview to get visa) 2. Two (2) valid identification cards (IDs) with photograph and copy of each .(She used her passport and ID from NBI) She completed forms and was never asked for any other documents.The CFO has wifi and she was able to message and call me on viber the entire time to the point that seminar starts. We continue chatting while she is waiting for seminar to start. Finally she tells me that the seminar will start and she will message me when its over. She starts the seminar but the messages never stop. She tells me that everyone is taking photos with there phones instead of taking notes so she can still chat with me and that the counselor doesn't seem to mind. She isn't messaging the whole time but is messaging, sending pics to me of things going on and the other girls in seminar. Its often enough that I'm telling her to pay attention so she doesn't get in trouble but she says it alright.She seems to be having a good time and I'm wondering if this is the same CFO I have read about.This goes on the entire seminar. Finally its time for her one on one counseling session. The one on one counseling session took 10 minutes.The focus of the counselor during this session was on the fact that I was divorced twice and one was to a filipina. The counselor warned her its not a good idea and she needs to really think before marrying a man like me. My fiance tells her side of why she wants to marry me and the counselor says she believes her. The session is over in 10 minutes. The dreaded Other documents as may be required by the counselors were a couple pictures. The counselor never asked for one single document from me or my fiance. The entire seminar the only things asked for were the pictures,appt letter and 2 Valid IDS with copies. My fiance said the CFO was very easy and a good experience and she didn't see any of the girls that day having any difficulty at all. After the counseling session she waited for her certificate. The certificate was finally issued about 12:45 pm..She will just have to go by and get the sticker/stamp after getting her visa. This was only written to tell that not all experiences are bad at the CFO. If you saw the packet I sent for CFO in that Fedex package that will arrive Monday you would understand how nervous I was about the CFO. I strongly suggest you be prepared and bring all the required documents and suggested by others. Lastly even though the CFO experience was good I wish they would abolish it. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Divorce Decree	I'm from California also. I sent a Xerox Copy of my entire final divorce papers. Mine did have the raised stamp. The Xerox copies worked fine for the initial processing with the USCIS. The original was sent to my fiance before her interview. The interviewer did ask to see the original divorce decree so thankfully I sent it. I'm now just starting this process again for the second time after a divorce. I just went to the court house again for a divorce decree in California and again it is the entire divorce with signatures spread out through the entire thing. Front page has the raised stamp and says certified copy. After looking it over with a close friend who helps people process there K1s for a living, he advised me to send the whole thing. I also got a second divorce decree from Nevada it is a nice tight 3 page Decree with all signatures and stamp. It may depend on the county your divorced in. The reason I suggest adding the beneficiary's birth certificate to the K1 packet is to avoid problems or delays down the road during the interview. One big reason is so I can cross reference the information from the birth Certificate to the forms that are being filled out so there are no glaring discrepancies. As were all aware of Birth Certificates especially in the Phillipines, can have numerous mistakes . Often times the Petitioner will have no idea what was on the Birth Certificate and fills out the forms and later receives a RFE. I believe having the Birth Certificate ready and available before starting the paperwork can be benificial. It is still my suggestion to anyone starting the process. I know others may disagree but I also believe its benificial to include some proof of ongoing relationship. Again probably not absolutely necessary but I believe benificial. The chances are you have it already , why not include it. I should have added that all original documents that were copied will need to be sent to your fiance before interview. Keep up with proof of your ongoing relationship by copying emails,letters, money remittance receipts, chat logs , phone bills etc, Make sure she has plenty of pictures and proof of your relationship available for interview. Send all this to her before interview . Send it all with your Affidavit of support I-134 , letter from employer,A few recent pay check stubs, recent w-2 and tax return,Copy of your NOA2, New letters of Intent to marry signed and dated now close to interview. This is my second time through the process and have several family members who have been through it. Often overlooked but very important, make sure your fiance knows as much about you as possible. It has been similar for all my family members at the interview. It's better to be overprepared and not need something. Than to need something and not have it. Just my experiences. Cover Letter I-129F- Not necessary but suggested to add a 1 page attachment for question 18 explaining the circumstances of meeting within the past two years, sign and date I-129 f and attachment. G-325A- filled out by the US Citizen signed and dated G-325A filled out by the foreign fiance signed and dated G-1145- Optional but suggested Birth Certificate- US Citizen Birth Certificate- Foreign Fiance Letter of Intent- US Citizen Letter of Intent- Foreign Fiance Passport Style Photo- 1 of US Citizen Passport Style Photo- 1 of Foreign Fiance Copy of your Passport- Front page and Exit / Entry Stamps. Make sure to make clear copies of Exit/Entry stamps. Proof of having met in last 2 years - Copies of all airline boarding passes, train passes, itineraries, hotel receipts etc Photos- Photos of you and fiance together. If possible include photos of different locations and clothing. Photos with you, fiance, fiances friends and family together.
