Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionApproval Notice
Hi there,
If you sent your package out to Vermont, then when did you send it? Sorry but I don't see a time line. I have never known USCIS to send a white paper before, however maybe others can give you some more clarification. You may want to call them and check your status online.

Good Luck,

Lissa

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionfilling out form I751 on line
I could be wrong but I don't think you can e-file that form. Just fill it out, make sure you both sign it and send your supporting evidence.

QUOTE (murebo @ Oct 1 2008, 10:36 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Please advice me on what to do. I need to travel urgently as my dad passed away yesterday. MY I751 is pending in VSC and I need to get a stamp on my passport just to be on the safe side when coming back. I tried making an infopass appointment and the only date available is oct. 14. Can I just go in tomorrow with the appointment letter for the 14th and plead with them to stamp my passport. My dads funeral is on Friday next week and I hope to travel next week at least by Tuesday. Please advice.Thank you
Stamp it for what? You want special treatment some how? Should have applied for AP with AOS, just in case of such an emergency. You can still file for AP. There are protocols in place for you to travel now and apply for AP while you're out of the country. Check it out.

He is applying for the I-751 so he doesn't need ap. You dont have to be so hard on him....especially under these circumstances!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionEAD Card arrived
Well first off your in the wrong forum. If your husband is going to get his GC in 2-3 weeks then no worries. That will replace the EAD card. Don't forget to file your removal of conditions 90 days before the GC expires.

Good luck,

Lissa

Wow that was fast! I think and I could be wrong but you may have rec'd the RFE because you didn't file joint taxes. They like to see that financial tie.

Hope you have a speedy approval.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAny problems with USCIS website?
QUOTE (Andersen @ Nov 6 2008, 08:57 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I had posted about this a while ago. My notice receipt date on paper says they received my application on Oct. 31, but my online status says they received it on Nov. 08. So I asked on the forum if anyone had this weird changes on their receipts date and the answer was "yes". Not as weird as yours though, they had a difference of a weeks or so in days. But I wouldn't worry about it. It seems that USCIS system is having a few glitches.

Yes this happened to me as well, USCIS says online they rec'd my application on 1/7//08(that is when they cashed my check), but all my other paper work says 12/26/07. Go figure!!!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAny problems with USCIS website?
I checked my pending I-751 yesterday, and for a split moment I was happy. It looked like my application was touched. What was wierd is that the application date said 10/27/2007. I sent my application on 12/24/07, then the other items that I still had on my screen like my EAD card and I-130 were totally different dates. Maybe this was a computer glitch. Has this happened to anyone before? And here I was thinking they got to my application! mad.gif

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionONLINE CASE STATUS
When they rec'd my case. When do they expect to start working on it. If there is an RFE, then that should be online as well as what they need from us. How many people are in the dark about with what to send to them? Last time I checked we are not mind readers!!!! In a way I wish the whole process was a little bit more personable, I mean they do have our whole lives in their hands.

Don't you hate when that happens....you tell yourself well maybe next week....then still nothing.!!!! I was went to check my case status this morning, figuring today is my wedding anniversary. I can't even click on my file, for some unknown reason it won't let me.

I don't know about you guys, but I think when my window opens up to apply for citizenship, I think I am going to. It would be nice to see light at the end of this tunnel. I remember when I went for my biometrics in January, the officer said " Oh Vermont has a 7 month wait." I was thinking ok that is managable.....now it is almost a year. I know I shouldn't complain, and that there are still alot of us who have had to wait longer.

I guess it would be nice if they sent us a letter saying" Hey I know you have been waiting for what seems to be an eternity, just want to let you know we have are still working on your case and it should be done by...... whistling.gif

Sorry just need to vent

Thanks,

Lissa

Thanks guys....I have become a little obsessive these days. I guess I am just tired of having my life on hold. I wonder if I was gonna get an RFE if I would have that by now, or maybe they are sending me for an interview. Who knows, I sent in a pile of proof so hopefully they wade through it shortly!!!! blink.gif blink.gif

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHow to gather evidence, when you life a simple life style???
What I did is I seperated stuff by year. I would also take a photo copy of your drivers license, and the joint credit cards. You may want to submit photo's over the span of your marriage, affidavits from friends, life insurance, health insurance, car insurance.

Good luck,

Lissa

Hi Cherr,
I checked my online status, I recieved an email, however it went to my spam. I thought for sure I would have been called in for an interview, especially after seeing people after me get approved. When did you send in your application?

After worrying for the last 11 months and many many grey hairs later, I was finally approved with no RFE or interview on Nov 21, 08. I want to thank all of you who have helped make this long journey alot easier. I don't think I could have done it without this site, and the kind hearted people on here.
For now I am still in shock..... wow.gif

Next step apply for citizenship on Dec 21, 08.

Thanks once again,

Yes! I am approved! i received my approval notice yesterday. and it says i have to wait 60 days for my new green card. i hope i will get it next week because i will be out of the country for the holidays. im sooooooo happy...but i wonder i dont have that current status: card production ordered...just like some other people got, it only says: approval notice sent!

anyhow, no RFE no interview. and im so happy! thank you guys for helping me in this journey!

Mine also said approval notice sent. I wonder what the difference is?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionJeez - how long is this gonna take?
I hope all goes well for you and that you don't have to have an interview. I know the waiting is really hard. I thought for sure I was gonna have an RFE or an interview. I was arrested when I was younger...no fault of my own, but just the thought of having to bring that up again and again is enough to drive someone to drink.LOL

I have seen people in the past be approved without an interview.

Good luck,

Lissa

I'll keep my fingers crossed.

That is just crazy, now I can see if you are in the process of your AOS and don't have your conditional GC...then that is one thing. If you already have your 2 year GC....then as long as you can prove a legitimate marriage I don't see why they would deport you. It's bad enough that you lose a spouse, now you have the fear of being deported. Nobody ever plans on losing a spouse....doesn't seem fair!

Hey congrats!

but um.. why do u say it's fast when you started december of last year? You waited for almost a year! Is that considered fast these days? I mean, is the regular processing much slower than that? huh.gif I just submitted my application about 2 wks ago ... yikes im up for a long wait

No what I mean it was fast to produce the GC, I found out on Friday that I was approved and the card arrived Monday. By no means is this process fast!
Good luck,

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 -- need help

Interesting. Probably because I'm taking a communications class and sort of paying attention, lol But one could take Yodraks reply a few different ways. I can see why brokenheart2006 may have been a bit upset, she was looking for an answer and took it an a sarcastic manner, which probably being a bit stressed out, might not have been what she expected. Yet another poster saw it a different way, oh well, just blabbing away, lol Glad you found ur answer

Well that's nasty.. instead of directly pointing out your error, someone offered you a graceful way to the right answer and you curse him?Tthere are at least 20 posts here where people have listed every single document sent with a successful I-751. I suggest you double check for your answer from what has gone before, if the instructions are insufficient for you.

Cursed him are you kidding me ?

Hi everyone ! I am ready to send my papers to immigration in 5days to remove the condition on my status.....I just want to make sure Does my Hubby needs to filled up the Affidavit of Support to send in with my I-751?

The original I-864, submitted when you were filing AOS, is still valid.
