USPS doesn't know where Ontario is??

sounds like they're in the wrong business if they don't

Says Belleville, ON (ON could be anywhere in the world). It's not really their job to guess where "ON" is. It's the job of the person sending the letter to make sure it's compliant to their standards.

If you sent something to say... NM or CA or VA through Canada Post that didn't specify USA on it, I'm sure it wouldn't get their either.

EI tip... the envelope that they supply you with to return your info and cards to Belleville, Ontario does NOT have "Canada" on it. My first few things sent to them (cards, info, etc.) never arrived there... then I had a look at the self-addressed envelope in the next set of correspondence and no country listed on it! No wonder why it never arrived. How the hell would USPS know where to send it?

Anyway, write down CANADA on the envelope they provide you.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751?
The I-751 is to lift conditions from a 2 year greencard (you get a 10 year greencard with the I-751). Meaning he already had to have had a greencard to begin with to be able to file the I-751. Not everyone who removes conditions is required to have another interview.

Also, there are many K1s and some K3s who have their I-485 transferred to CSC for faster processing. If someone is lucky to be transferred there, it usually means approval with no interview (look at the CSC transfers thread). Sometimes a file will get transferred to CSC and then transferred back to Missouri to have an interview scheduled with their district office.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionSecond Interview
Hi there,
I just received my conditonal PR status and I was wondering how many people actually get called for a second interview? Does this happen often? Has this happened to any one on this board?
Sorry for all the questions just wondering.

Thanks

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionIs this enough evidence???
Hi there,
I haven't been on the website for a while, however I am getting ready to send my 1 751 out next week. My husband and I dont have joint property together due to his credit. I thought of writing USCIS a letter explaining this situation. I have enclosed a copy for you guys to read. Do you think this will help to show we have financial obligations and that we DO have a valid marriage? Just in case your wondering we do have 3 joint bank accounts, joint insurance- health, car, home. I am listed as his beneficiary as next of kin at work, as well I have him listed as well. I am also including 20+ pictures of us together during our marriage, a window & fence contract with both our names, reciept for a matress we purchased, as well as a laptop my husband purchased for me. I am also including our tax returns for 2004-2006, copies of envelopes addressed in both our names. Copy of the deed of trust showing where my husband was the original owner, copy of his fathers obiturary showing my name.I am sure there is more, however I cant think of it at this moment. The only draw back is that we dont have any children together, and I didnt want to pester anyone with notorized letters confirming our marriage. Here is the enclosed letter. Please let me know if this enough. Thanks

Letter to USCIS
To whom it may concern,
I XXXXXXX purchased the property XXXXXXX, Roanoke, Virginia on September 8, 2004. It was under the agreement with Courtney H(lien holder) that I obtain financing for the balloon payment of approximately $52,000.00 dollars no later than October 7, 2006. After purchasing the property I later found out due to my credit I was unable to finance the balance. With the permission of Mr. Courtney H I then transferred the property to my father XXXXXX so he could obtain financing for us. Unfortunately my father fell ill and was unable to refinance the balance of the mortgage. The house was then transferred into my wife’s name on August 1, 2006. Both my wife and I applied together to refinance the property, again my credit became an issue. Currently the house is in my wife’s name, however the utilities are in my name. Please see the enclosed documents for further verification.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at 540-XXX-XXXX

Sincerely,

XXXXX

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionDivorce and I 751
Sorry to hear your marriage didn't work out. You will need to submit your divorce decree along with anything to prove you had a bona fide marriage. If you look at the instructions on the I-751 form it will tell you what to submit. Examples may be, joint bank accounts, joint credit cards, joint property, joint insurance, pictures, letters from people who knew the both of you. From what I am understanding you need to send in everything you would if you were filing jointly.
Best of luck,
Lissa

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFiled I-751 however I-130 touched????
Hi there,
So I have applied to remove my conditions, however I went on the USCIS website to take a look and update my password, the wierd thing is my I-130 was touched 12/22/2007. I was approved for the I 130 back in April 06. Why are they touching it if it has already been approved? Just seems a little odd to me. Has this happened to anyone before?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionThings are MORE difficult in NJ!!!
Hi and Merry Xmas,
From my understanding the NOA should be suffice for the DMV. The DMV should essentially extend his drivers licence for another year or until he receives his 10 year greencard. As for traveling abroad he would have to carry the NOA along with his expired greencard. What you may want to do is get an infopass to see if they will stamp his passport extending his greencard for another year. Hope this helps,
Lissa

Oh man...that is so awful,
Will they apply the money to the correct form? How long ago did they cash it? If it wasnt that long ago you may want to ask the bank to do a charge back, if that doesnt work I would speak with the congressman in your area.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionPossible RFE....Help
I just realized that I may have forgotten a document, do I send it in with a letter explaining along with my A# or do I wait for an RFE? If I wait for an RFE, is it written specifically what I need to send in or is it generalized?
Thanks for your responses.

I was wondering if your always sent a letter for your biometrics ? It seems to me that when I was going thru the AOS journey I had to call to schedule my bio appointments. Has anyone had to do this for the I751? Does anyone know about the Charleston, WV office?
Thanks in advance,

QUOTE (sweet_peach @ Mar 23 2008, 09:21 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Per the US gov website its ok to submit copies of documents. Did they request you to send in originals for something? If not don’t worry about it. I'm sure we have all sent in copies of originals. So you shouldn’t get an RFE.

Yes they did asked for originals...why I don't know. Normally they ask for copies. I can't get this document again, so I wasn't about to take the chance of sending it. Immigration has seen it before, during my AOS.

Do you have any idea, what it is like getting documentation from the Gov't of Canada? LOL. Holy ####### it is worse then an act of congress! I don't know what part of Canada your from, but being from Quebec they do things backasswards there! I was told not to lose it, or I wouldn't get another one, since they distroyed my file.

I was arrested when I was younger...for no fault of my own, now the court case is sealed. I have no criminal record, and these were the documents proving that. I thought I seen somewhere on the I-751 that they wanted the originals, that Is why I thought I would get the RFE.
lissa04MaleCanada2008-03-23 07:49:00
Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionPossible RFE
I was wondering what happens when you have a RFE? I had to send some originals documents, and because these were my only copies, and it would be next to impossible to track down these records again if they were lost, I sent them photocopies. I'm sorry but I really didnt feel comfortable sending them something that I thought I may never get back at that time. Now I only found out afterwards you can request to have the originals sent back. Do they push your NOA date forward, if you get an RFE? Can I send them the originals now before I get the RFE or do I just wait? If I do get an RFE, which I am almost 100% sure, how far do they push your case back if you file the documents right away?

Thanks

Lissa

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion751 VSC : What a Sept 07 filer should expect??
The part that make me wonder is why in the world would USCIS decide to send TSC applications to Vermont? VSC was running at about 7 months wait time compared to CSC which is 3 months! Someone dropped the ball on that one IMO! I just hope they can resolve all this very soon.....as many of us don't want to be in limbo!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAny Idea what month VSC is processing?
Hi there,

I am sure there are several of us filers who would like to know where VSC is at with the application process. Has any one from VSC been approved lately? If so when did you file? As we all know the USCIS website is unreliable. I believe it is saying processing March/07.

Thanks

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAny recent approvals from VSC?
This is totally ridiculous. I honestly don't think those TSC cases should have been sent to Vermont! Perhaps it would have been better had they been evenly distributed between NSC & CSC since those guys are processing the I-751's in record time. Sorry to vent but I have little patience for stupidity....I feel we pay alot to have our conditions removed, and that should be done in a reasonable amount of time. I know that there are several people waiting a lot longer then me, but to only have 1 case approved (on this board) in the last month or so is uncalled for.
