Once I got my Noa2 it took 3 weeks to get out of CSC hell and on to NVC and some are still waiting. But it flew through NVC and I am currently tracking a package I think is my paperwork on it's way to Nigeria.

i hope it is ur paperwork ur tracking.......wow three weeks huh.........i wish u good luck and a fast interview date u have been waiting a while............ smile.gif

Thanks
I am fairly certain I have the right one. And a couple slightly larger ones caught up to it in Belgium. They are all at a DHL center in Lagos. So they should reach the embassy Monday.

Hope when you get approved you catch the NVC pallet right away. You have waited so long you are going to be the CSC equivilant of a Walmart greeter soon. But you will so much happier with NVC people they are pleasant to you.

LOL!!!!!!! I was just at Walmart last night and the greeter at this one just cracks me up. You walk in and hear this big BOOMING voice say Welllllllllllllllllllcome to Walmarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt.

How do you know when DHL has your package? How do you track it?

TBone, I agree. Just let things work out from here. Don't worry about the extra time at this point. You've got your foot in the door again. Don't worry right now about her desire to delay coming here. Who knows, once she has the visa, she may want to get here immediately.

There are many people who have anxiety attacks (or whatever you want to call them) about leaving their country. Just work with what you've got. If she gets worried again, just reassure her (women need reassurance, even if it's something you've told them a million times before). I'm glad you had a productive conversation and that things are looking up. good.gif

I can't take it anymore kicking.gif I must stop reading the VSC thread... Insane jealousy has taken over my mind. Each week I keep thinking that CSC is going to start pumping out the approvals.

I'm still trying to come to grips with the fact I've paid almost triple the fees I would of pre July for supposed improved service only to receive signifigantly worse service.

Well, that's not quite the case at this very moment. For this week CSC stands at 19 approvals. The VSC is at 13. So, things are definitly picking up at CSC. Hopefully it'll continue at the same pace of even faster. At this rate we'll have at least 90 from CSC for the month. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope it continues like this.
Also, you still have some time to wait before you start to freak out. Even VSC has approved only one petition from November so far. While CSC seems to be starting to catch some of the VSC craziness of approving petitions from 4-5 months at the same time. wacko.gif
So, you never know, yours might actually be coming soon.

Best advice at this point is: relax, stay positive, participate in the forums here, and prepare for the next steps when that NOA2 finally comes.

Cheers! wink.gif

Thanks for the wise words. I'm not really freaking out yet as there are many others that have been waiting much longer than myself. I was just venting a bit,I would just say I'm annoyed at this point. I leave for the Philippines on Thursday so that visit should recharge my batteries so to speak for at least a month or so kicking.gif

Hey, I'm with ya on the venting. I filed only shortly after you. And one of my pet peeves is the same. Why did I pay more than twice the amount for slower service? ranting33va.gif

If I do, I will drive home the point that it is patently unfair that just because one lives in a state which must use CSC, there is an extra month built in to the process because of the way they ship approved petitions to NVC, and there is no justifiable reason for that. I will be talking with some people this weekend.

I don't mind waiting that much (OK, I do), but when that son-of-a-buck gets approved, I want that thing at NVC in a fews days, just like the Vermont folks get! OK, I'm done now. I feel much better. Good luck to all.

I'm with you. I think that something should be done so that the process is more fair. I'm happy for the Vermont filers who get approved quickly, but why can't California do the same? And why does it take so much longer for CSC to get the petitions to the NVC? I'd gladly pay more for faster shipping, if I had to.

Thanks for clearing that up for me happy.gif

I wish my sister would meet a nice guy from anywhere... she's been dating blokes here in the UK for the last two years and not managed to stumble across anyone right for her (she seems to attract losers, wasters, posers, and commitment-phobic types). I've never really dated (married my first serious boyfriend very young and then later when I'd given up on relationships as a bad lot I ended up unexpectedly falling for my best friend), so I don't know if she's just extremely unlucky or if it really is very difficult to find someone compatible.

Anyway, hopefully by Monday we'll see a rush of updated timelines and proclaimations from happy VJ members!

Hey, how old is your sister? One of my guy friends was just telling me he was getting back into the dating field and wondered about finding a nice English girl. Maybe we could set them up. wink.gif (She'd be going through CSC, tho . . .)

Haha - Utah (well the southern part anyway - haven't been further up!!) is beautiful! Never been up to the mountains there though and went in April so... wink.gif

Really like this whole USC fiance(e) buying future spouse clothes thing... You think I could talk mine into doing that?! laughing.gif On second thoughts I have seen his fashion sense blink.gif prolly best for me to get there first... then I'll be helping him with his wardrobe laughing.gif

I have help with some of it. His cousin is my best friend and I am just taking advantage of the end of season sales to get a couple of warm pieces for him. I have plenty of room in the closets so why not. As part of their tradition I was given a "suitcase full" of native attire that was custom made while I was there. And I don't have any place to wear it here really. I will more when he arrives because there are a lot of events that we will attend .

Ooooh, don't you think the native attire is so FUN? I love the bright colors. And my fiance has incredibe taste in the styles he has chosen for me. I didn't get the whole suitcase full. I'm getting it a piece at a time, which I love becuase I get unexpected gifts every now and then. I actually don't wait for occasions to wear them. I wore one of the dresses to church and got TONS of compliments on it. Of course, I'm the only one who wears African attire to church (I'm the only on in my congregation who has been to Africa, although there is a couple who is presently living temporarily in South Africa, so they may have native attire when they get back), but I don't mind being different. I've always marched to my own drum, anyway.

This are so different between our cultures and we spent a lot of my visit there going over things and plans for the future. I have also been shopping for some things in his size so he will have clothes when it gets cold here next year. I doubt he has ever experienced anything as cold as 50 degrees.
