Philippinesvisa pickup

Thanks for the tip on asking the counsel. We will try that. Counsel can always say no, but then again, I am known to "push" much more then normal. :bonk: :bonk:

You're welcome. I noticed too that the date of the visa printing is not that far from the date of interview (Usually less than a week around 1-4 days after the interview). It's when 2go picks up the visa from the embassy for delivery that is delaying it. Either the consul will have your visa printed immediately or if not, it won't take that long for it to be printed. Consuls in Manila are very nice! If you get lucky you might get your visa on the same day coz I read about someone who did that too. Positive vibes!

Philippinesvisa pickup
I read somewhere that they directly asked the consul if they can pickup the visa at the embassy ASAP coz they already booked their tickets. They were able to do it and they got their visa the next day at the embassy. The consul just told them "okay come back tomorrow". Try asking the consul on her interview.

PhilippinesSputum Test

whew, thanks so much.....coz I don't think my colds will go away anytime soon. My sputum will start on Tuesday and it's a lil bit scary......any advise before I undergo the sputum test probably aside from not eating before going there?

Rest well. Relax. Drink plenty of water to make your colds go away :)

PhilippinesSputum Test
From my understanding it's like this:

Chest Xray - they find a scar in your lungs, SPUTUM
Physical Exam - you mention you had contact with a TB patient in your past, has a family member who has/had TB, has signs and symptoms of TB, you will be subjected to SPUTUM test (guess ko lang 'tong sa Physical ha)

You will do the Acid Fast Smear test in 3 consecutive days . Even if one out of three of these smears turns out to be Positive. You will undergo 6 months treatment.

Parang ganito. The Smear test is to find out if the TB is Active or just sleeping. Let's say in your first and second day negative then on your 3rd day Positive that means you have TB and it is active.

If all the 3 samples are negative. They still need to culture them for 2 months to find out if the "sleeping" TB will be awaken/ active. After 2 months, if nothing grows in the culture, then it means the lung scar is just a scar and isn't contagious and the Tb is inactive.

Coz sometimes even if the smears are negative something still grows in the culture. Voila! May TB pala.

But don't worry ladies. I believe many Filipinos have inactive TB because of where we live. Check out our arms na lang. Notice the scar there from the TB vaccine when we were young.

PhilippinesSputum Test

I hope everything results will turn out good for all of us here....I'm also quite nervous my sputum will start on tuesday and I'm still having colds coz of the bad weather.....do you it'll make the test worst as I don't have any idea what is it all about. I'm a lil bit worried but what can I do Posted Image I don't wanna frustrate and stress myself thinking about it......I just hate it coz I have work and it's gonna mess up my schedule not sure if I can even make it to work in time like around 9.

Your colds won't make the matter worse because it's the TB bacteria they will be looking for. You may have so much phlegm, if they don't find TB under the microscope, you're negative!

PhilippinesSputum Test

thanks..im just on what i read here that she knows somebody who turns out positive in the smear test and will undergo meds for 6 months nand she doesn't have any symptoms that she has ba TB,,

That's what we call Latent Tb Infection. Don't worry. Seems like it's common for St. Luke's applicants to be subjected to sputum tests but it's very seldom that they would also do the treatment. I shouldn't have told you about it so as not to worsen your worries :(

I'll share more of what we talked about (the girl diagnosed with Tb w/o signs of it)

She had her Medical Exam early this year and on the second day almost everyone (like 500 of them she said) were stamped with SPUTUM. And the funny part is, that's the time when the Embassy was having their renovation and moving to a different building. So they thought it was just a delaying tactic.

Oh My! im afraid!dont they think its a waste of money on our part?why dont they take the meds with us so that we can take it in our own home..waiting is just fine but goint there everyday sucks..im praying that my test will turn our negative

St. Luke's won't care they wan't to watch her the whole treatment process. Don't be paranoid. You will turn out to be negative. I know it's scary but don't waste your energy getting anxious about it. :)
paul_kayFemalePhilippines2011-07-28 23:30:00
PhilippinesSputum Test
Yes it's true. I know someone who didn't show any signs or symptoms of having Tb but on her 3rd day of sputum test, she turned out to be positive and is now undergoing her 6 months treatment (should be at St Luke's) together with her son (who is getting medicated just because his mom is being treated). I know it's a bummer she had to go there everyday every morning to take her meds. I hope she's fine now. To make the matter worse, she lives in Mindanao. Just be positive, we will all be with our loved ones one way or another. :)

PhilippinesScams in Manila

Your woman makes them take you so your eyes don't wander too much. I'm not joking either, my wife tried that sh*t with me when I wanted to go out by myself. I have friends who travel to my wife's country and we hang, so I don't need my wife's brothers as chaperones. Probably the same in your case. There are lots of women that like Americans there, she's just scared to lose you to some younger, hotter woman.

I don't think so. Yes, they may feel protective of their daughters / sisters, but they escort you places for a reason other than that. Your safety.

I was instructed to send a SMS with the license plate of any taxi I might need to ride while alone in Manila. Didn't make me feel comfortable riding taxis alone at all :o

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionFathers permission needed for Child to come to USA..

My fiancee lives in Ukraine and has a 5 year old son from a previous marriage. They split up before the child was born. The Father has never seen or talked to his son even though the boy still carries his last name. We have been trying to locate him unsuccessfully. Last we heard he went somewhere in Russia for work. How do we get consent from someone we can not find? What is the best approach to this matter?

I agree with posting # 2 and Just to be safe, go to the local court or government office and have them issue a letter stating the father has not paid any child support and his residency is unknown? I think this will help you during the interview process. It is better to plan now for your interview and I think you’re on a right path by having all the necessary proofs in hand.

Hello everyone,

Recently my requests to NVC for expedite my wife & a son case was granted on the medical grounds. On September 06, 2011, I received the e-mail below from the NVC that the case will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. As of today, the cases have not left the NVC and therefore, can anyone please advise me when would it be appropriate to contact the consulate and to ask, when is the interview date? Or should I just simply wait and hope that consulate will inform us when the interview date is schdullle for my wife & son. Any advice on how I should further proceeds on this subject. Thanks.

Hello everyone need a little advise, anyone experiencing delays in change of consulate. My wife process has come to a Dead Stop, petition on hold. On Aug 01, I received the AOS Fee Bill for my son and wife; upon receiving the AOS Fee Bill, I noticed that NVC has issued a wrong consulate for my wife, Bangkok Thailand??? instated of Vientiane, Lao.

The NVC was informed immediately by e-mail and over the phone for issuing the wrong consulate for my wife. NVC advised, e-mail a copy of my wife Lao passport and continue with the process and correct consulate will be change soon. On Aug 06, I received the IV Fee Bill for my son and as of today no IV Fee Bill for my wife or any changes to reflect correct consulate.

Anyone know approximately how long we have wait for NVC to make the correction in assigning the correct consulate and generating the IV Fee Bill for my wife? Any feedbacks are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don’t know what’s happen at the NVC???…First they assigned correct embassy for my wife and son, upon receiving the AOS Fee Bill, my wife’s embassy is changed to a different country along with a new NVC#. I contacted the NVC by phone & via e-mail…There response was continue with the process and we will change it…On Saturday morning I received IV Fee Bill for my son only. The more I think about it, the more I get frustrated ... Any way’s the facts are that we are almost at the finish line and out of the “Blackhole”.

Same hear, on ours G-325a instated of 2011 I by mistake typed 2010 as our weeding date. Therefore, why wait and take a chance for "REF" I think you should send in the correct date by simply writing a letter. Good luck.

OK so now I got all the papers from my man inclufding bank statements,Pay Stubs and the I 134's..........BUT,the letter from his Company is completley screwed up,we have asked thjem (in writing) for the Emplyoment Verification Letter saying that it has to state when he was employed, whether the position is part or fulltime, his annual Income and so on....WELL,all the sent us was a Letter stating when he was hired ,that he works fulltime and that he makes 8,07 hourly for straight hours and 26$ for overtime hours...........
Now his Pay is a bit weird because for the first 40 hours he works he gets 8,07$ an hour PLUS 680$ Per Diem, for hour 40-50 he gets 26$ plus from hour 50 on a 25% Bonus and then again 26$ from hour 50 to 60.
They are working 60 hours each week which is mandatory,so all together he has an Income of 78 000$ a year, but it does not state anything like that and the Company will not issue us anything else than what they sent us...........
On the Affidavit of Support he wrote down 54 600$ in GROSS Income annually...........
I don't know but this smells ike trouble to me.
Someone with advice outthere????????????
As I said we HAVE the Paystubs that show how much he's bringing home and the Bank Statements showing how much is being deposited each week from the Company e works for.........
Nat

Is there any way you can have it corrected ASAP? I am sure if you ask the company to write it out correctly the could and then fax it ASAP.

What do you mean "how strict the consulate is"? You have to have the I-134, no way to get a K1 without having it, and it has to meet the minimum financial benchmarks.

Are you asking if the Hungarian Consulate will let it slide without a co-sponsor?

I meet the requirements but just barely. I am only meeting them this year. I did not meet them in the previous years and am hoping this will not affect me.

Hello everyone, vagyis sziasztok!

We are currently "patiently" waiting for my fianceé to get her Packet 3 from the Consulate in Hungary. I am curious if anyone would have a clue as to how strict the consulate is in Hungary. We are calling it close on the I-134 and would like to also know how strict they are concerning financial matters. Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated.

I understand there may not be many filing with relations to Hungary but I figure I would ask as there may be a few of you passing by.

Thank you,
