Middle East and North Africa	Woman faces stoning for adultery	I watched "The Stoning of Soraya M" a month or so back. I cried my eyes out for most of the movie. Right before it got to the part where they were stoning the woman to a bloody pulp and showing it for several gory minutes hubby had to get up and walk out because he couldn't stand it. I liked the line where Soraya said, "How can you do this to me? How can you do this to anyone?" Same here Olivia. I was crying and felt so helpless for this woman. Leaves one with many thoughts. Middle East and North Africa	Moan-day	Good morning! Sorry to hear everyone's not feeling well. We had a nice weekend. Went out for Chinese yesterday and as always was delicious! Wael has been here almost 3 yrs and always finds something exciting and interesting about the states. Yesterday was of all things, our cemetaries. So we talked about cemetaries, funeral homes, burials and headstones. Very interesting conversation. Have a good day everyone and sure hope you will be feeling better! Forgot to add we watched the final game for the World Cup and I thought it was really boring. Wasn't like I expected the final game to be, but congratulations to Spain! He was accepted at the University of Arizona Honors College but with his schedule he just didn't have the time for the extra courses. What an honor! He was disappointed he had to turn it down, but at the same time he was thrilled knowing he was accepted! We actually had a few sprinkles yesterday! They were gone in 60 seconds!! Middle East and North Africa	Happy Thursday!	Good morning all, Hi there Jeanne, Tamara and Mandy! Tamara, hope you have fun on your vacation, sounds like a good time. I took the day off yesterday to hang out with my husband since it was his day off. It must've been Egypt day on the History Channel. We watched it all day, lol. We are addicted to Zahi Hawass' show, Chasing Mummies. Boy is he testy! We had a really nice day together just watching TV, reminiscing about Egypt and I cooked koshary and lu'mat al adi. Morning JVTA! I love Chasing Mummies and you're right..Mr Hawass is so arrogant and testy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a wonder people will work with him. Middle East and North Africa	Tuesday	You're right about pre made things.... i will have to do that on Saturday and Sunday... it's hard having everyone depend on me... i work on Saturdays sometime... i reaaaally need a budget... How old are your children? Would delegating be an option? Perhaps your family can have a meeting and have everyone involved to make it less on you, from menu planning to chores. I know men can be somewhat useless at times though. Time sure does fly. Adam is 7.5 months, I can't believe it. He'll be starting "school" in September. He's so close to crawling, but drops and army crawls at the last second instead. Any day now... We went to take photos this past weekend. Still at least a month and half left of summer here. WB from your vacation Tamara. Sorry to hear Adam lost his ring in the river and you got a sunburn. Sounds like you had a good vacation over all though. Good story about the tap water Jeanne. I didn't know that. Do you think you guys will ever move really? Hubby is studying right now. I sent out a few more applications and did chores around the house. I made steel cut oats for the first time and they are delicious. My Uncle made this rice vinegar and sesame oil coleslaw type salad that is really delicious I can't stop eating it and I don't like coleslaw or at least the mayo type coleslaw. The onion in this batch is a little potent. It sucks when one onion overpowers the batch with it's potency. Yes Olivia, we will move. We are hoping for next year. He has so much on his plate now...finishing his last year at the University of Arizona and studying for the GMAT. He is soooo hoping for New York city!!! His eventual goal is Wall Street. I love his determination and motivation. Whatever job or PhD program he ends up with, he certainly earned it! He truly is living and earning the American dream. The only way we really know when the months are changing is the temp of our tap water! Saw a roadrunner hanging out with a group of quail yesterday. Usually they are a good size but this one was smaller. Think the quail have adopted a new member!! Since we have had a few little raindrops, the desert is blooming like crazy!! Beautiful lavenders, yellows, and some shades of green! Awesome! The mountains have a slight green to them!!
