I was not attacked in particular but my friends were. I take things personally. It was over time...not just one thing that sent me away for a week to think why I felt that way. It had a lot to do w/ the negative posts, some horrible events that have occurred and PM's flying around and as some stated the cliques. Everyone has a right to post and have an opinion but when their comments are constantly negative (about anything from embassies interview dates, lives of others, past history or just any personal things people could get their hands on...) it begins to take a toll. I just felt tired of it and needed a break. I think others just choose to ignore it or they are part of the problem. I want support from people not comments that will bring me down. The stuff we go thru with distance from loved ones, government process....that's enough stress we don't need people to pick sides or make others feel left out. However, I realize we don't live in a perfect world so why would I think this board could be peaceful either... That's just me. IMHO This is the reason I stopped posting, besides the fact I was being ignored, but I do still fill out my timeline for others to see and research. Hey Sandy!! Good to see you again! You just steam could it the same way you would cook regular rice. Once all the juices are gone and rice is tender flip it onto a tray and voila. You have the easiest version of maqlooba ive ever seen. note * some people fry the chicken, imo it makes it waaay too dry. also, you can sprinkle some pretty green stuff on it, almonds, whatever youd like... Yep, that's the recipe we use too..BUT I can't figure out how to get the cauliflower fried. It always ends up getting mushy and tasting like cr@po!a . What's the secret to that? Hubster likes to put almonds and snoober in his ..as well as a little bit of green stuff. Our side dishes are some kind of yogurt and a cucumber salad- to mix with the rice as u eat it. He also prefers to wash the chicken using lemon (a family thing), boil it, then fry it for a few minutes to get it a nice golden color. Rice is a MUST-SOAK-FOR-15-MINUTES-IN-HOT-WATER thing for him or it's not rice and therefore the meal is not "proper" Amal, what is "snoober"? Don't think I have ever heard of it before!! Middle East and North Africa	Need clarification on something, regarding...PORK!	Being a vegetarian I don't have to worry about cooking, buying or eating pork! I cook mainly Italian or American dishes which consists of mainly vegetables. However I do cook meat for Wael but no pork. I respect what he can and cannot eat.
