Middle East and North Africa	monday monday...i start the thread	Good morning everyone. I was up earlier but the pain was so intense, so took a percocet and went back to bed. My side felt like I had gone 15 rounds with Rocky. Will be happy when this stone passes. Wael stayed home with me today (perhaps coz of the little screaming I was doing)! Annie I certainly hope your MIL will be on the road to recovery soon. I am in heaven with this pill. Loved my doctor yesterday when he said "Jeanne you will be giving birth to a kidney stone".....Was surprised the stone was 5 mm on the CAT scan. Ok everyone, I hope you are all ok and feeling ok. When I go anywhere that requires me to give my keys to someone, I keep just an extra car key alone in my purse and that's what they get. Please everyone, be very careful about any valet parking or car washes when you hand over your keys to a total stranger. This time of the year it's really sad to say, is when we have alot of this happening. So plz just be aware of everything around you!! Be safe and warm! Have a great day everyone. Middle East and North Africa	From MENA to the US... starting over	Henia, I'm all for you and your family to come back to the states, move in with your mom and just let things fall into place. Gas prices are coming down and I think the economy will begin a comeback. Sure there are layoffs, but your hubby shouldn't have any probs finding a job. They were happy because they got to be with daddy who they only see a few times per week and eventually I started relaxing and enjoying my night off with friends, etc. doing things I couldn't while they were home. Now that they're older it doesn't really hit me at all because they're not all gaga about Santa. THAT actually is hurting me more than their sleeping over his house. This is the first year without Santa but I'm tempted to still sign the jolly fat boy's name on a few presents. We'll see. I have to run around today and get stocking stuffers that I forgot about AND some of my family's presents having arrived in the mail yet so I might have to go and get some gift certificates to hold them over. This holiday season is one I can't wait to see go actually only because my house might be foreclosed on soon so the waiting and not knowing where we're going to live is brutal. Each day I'm on pins and needles while my fate is in the hands of negotiators and mediators. Oh well, whatever will be will be and all that. hi bridget, thanks, i've been sidetracked with texas holdem poker...lol My name is Maureen and I'm an ADDICT...lol I swear, it's so addicting. Middle East and North Africa	Friday-12-26-08	Good morning everyone! Wael helped me cook Christmas dinner and was awesome! Had too much food, but of course when our guests left they had doggie bags! We got thru the day with no disasters! It's raining here!! Woke up to the sounds of little rain drops....what a calming effect it has. I've had many notifications for jury duty, but only once I thought I was going to have the chance to serve. Alas, I sat in the jury "selection" room all day and was the next to the last "reject". Wael wants to see the new Brad Pitt movie and I want to see Valkyrie. Guess it will be the old coin toss! I do believe Wael has consumed a whole apple pie with ice cream. Middle East and North Africa	New to MENA Forum	Welcome! My husband is from Alexandria and I had no problems with him receiving my snail mail. The average time to receive it was 7-10 days! I didn't send parcels as the duty would be outrageous for him to pay. So I just took the items with me when I would go to Egypt. If I had documents for him, then I would send them FedEx. They inteneded on living there and not coming to the US. She got pregnant and then they decided to come back. Becasue she was living in Morocco she was able to file there. She had absolutley no trouble getting the visa for her husband. They applied and they had it in about 1 1/2 months. Given the way both of the countries are im assuming that Egypt will be able the same. Your already going there this summer for a few months. Stay a little longer and file there. There are a few people here who did DCF from Egypt ( living together) and waited longer than us. I think it is just at the whim of the country when one receives their visa. Perhaps other countries are faster than Egypt, but don't assume coz you live there you will get it faster! We have some friends who are also from Alexandria, married next month for 3 yrs, living together for 3 yrs and she is STILL waiting for his visa. But one can only hope! I need a copy of your timeline for him while he's sitting in the military camp so he can look at it on his mobile. Thx!
