I had a problem in all places, Sky Harbor airport in Phoenix! Was returning from one of my trips to Egypt on British Air. Had gone thru customs, no prob, then on my way out I was approached by 5 Homeland security personnel, yep count them 5!! At first I thought they would walk right by me, but they formed a semi-circle and started asking me questions. Looked at my passport AGAIN, my boarding passes from Cairo and London, and asked me what was my purpose going to Egypt how long I stayed and who I stayed with.

And then they ask me how much money I was bringing back from Egypt.
I told them I had $30.00 and DID THEY NEED TO SEE IT! What shocked me was when
one of the guys said "are you sure you don't have more"! Well at that point I was kinda
for a better word TICKED OFF and told him, if I had more I would still be in Egypt!



Now comeon people...i'm American as they come, i'm Catholic so no cover, i'm very cordial, nice dressed, ultimate manners (sir and mam) so why did they single me out?

Go figure. It doesn't matter who you are. I've flown all over the world, been thru some of the
toughest customs, but never never had the feeling as I did of having my heart in my throat when I
was questioned by those men in the United States of America. I was really afraid.

Good morning everybody! Today is the snowiest, iciest day of the year so far here. The snowflakes are coming down in huge chunks. I called in today to stay at home with the kids. I have a new addiction, facebook. I have met up with so many friends from high school that live in the same town as I do and I never run into them.

Also, today, is a hard day. I am missing my husband and haven't heard from him in a few days. I want to be angry but don't want to argue with him when he calls and use our time up doing that.

Well, I better get off of here and clean the house. Excellent day to get the laundry done.

Today is my 2 year wedding anniversary and I am so blessed that we are able to celebrate it together.
It is hard to believe 2 years have passed but I feel like I am newly married. After living apart for so long we are still adjusting and "getting to know each other" since he has come.

Annie, I am surprised that she has the power to shop as much as you say she did. I wish I had the funds to shop like that. I need so much stuff right now. I just tried to use my digital camera and it is totally screwed up! I dont know how it happened but add that to the list of things I will need.

The weather was sooooooooo beautiful on Sunday here, you didnt need gloves or a jacket even.
Spent some fun time with my daughter and walked around downtown Philly.
We went to the airport and got to watch the airplanes fly really low over our car, which was so cool.

It felt great to get some fresh air!!!!!!!!
Today is also a very mild day but I hear nasty weather is coming tonight or tomorrow.

The game was great last night, did anyone else watch it?? I am not a football fan but I think I am starting to like it.

Well don't know if anyone else had this happen to them during the super bowl. We had here
in Tucson during the game one commercial that began with credits and Wael and I thought how odd to see coz it didn't have anything advertised. The next commercial broadcast here in front of us was a scene from a porno movie!!!! It was like WTH is this!!!!! Stayed on for about 10 secs, then right back to another commercial like nothing had happened!!

I called my cable provider this morning and she said yes it happened and they were really upset and were investigating. So was just wondering if anyone else saw it.

Amal, hon I thought only my life was like this. It was very uneventful until I lived in Italy. My life changed and to this day no one believes why when I tell them the story.

I lived in a small village next to the Dolomites. About a mile from my home was a gorge. At times gypsies (yes true gypsies) would camp there on their way from village to village. One day a couple gypsies came by and wanted to sell me a rug. I politely refused and all of a sudden they were screaming and yelling and doing all sorts of things with their hands. I just didn't know what to think of what I was seeing. My Italian neighbor came out to see what the fuss was about. She told them to leave and not come back to our village. Then she told me what they were doing. They were putting a HEX on me coz I wouldn't buy the rug nor give them any money.

At first I laughed and I just "knew" things like this didn't happen. But ohhhhh to my dismay my life changed. I do believe Murphy's Law was written with me in mind. If anything can, will, or in the future go wrong you can bet i'm at the center.

I have put up with my "hex" and I guess it just keeps reminding me that if it can go wrong it will, but it's fixable!!!! Life is really just an adventure.
