Anyway, when he gets to his dads and reads the letter its a letter from the NVC stating they are sending our stuff to the American Embassy in London and to expect packet 3 soon???? Wonderful/#######/HUH??? where the Hell is our NOA2 ????? Ok peeps this is where I need your wonderful help???? I am now really concerned that 1. we havent got the NOA2 and this may sound stupid but will I need this for the interview 2. With the NOA2 don't they send all the original docs back to Mike ie..... petition evidence etc..... I am over the moon , however worried now as to whats happened to our stuff???? Can anyone advise me as to what we should have expected?? M x Lol you're funny! Well first of all congrats..That letter is your NA02 or notice of approval! Woo hoo Your petition & all original docs will be sent to NVC & then they will send it to London Embassy. The embassy will send your packet 3 out to you. I think you should take a look at the UK forum on here. There are threads on there that will give you all the information you need to know. Don't panic..& CELEBRATE!! No disrespect to blondes...but I am one maybe that explains it??? Mike seems to think though that the letter was from the NVC??? not the USCIS?? Sorry to be a pain , however I dont think this is the NOA2??? Is there a scan of one on this site, or what do they look like, say.... etc... Thanks for your help once again you're a Monkeyjuice!!! Then, after this 30 days is up, you call back & they will put in a "service request". Basically, they will look into your case & write to you within 45 days (ours took a week or so) with an update. With ours, they told us we were in 'additional background checks'. Don't worry, most people don't have to wait as long as we did. I feel your pain Just know there is support here for you whenever you are feeling down, optimistic, frustrated, etc..... we are all on the same emotional rollercoaster as you. Our NOA1 date is Oct the Ist and we have had no news also. My fiance contacted the USCIS customer service no twice now, to be told they are working on the 23rd of Septs petitions. I know looking at the timelines on here that doesnt make sense, considering we are seeing Nov, Dec, and even Januarys being approved, however we have to have faith. In two days I got approved I am thrilled to death we are finally on our way. I hurt so much for the rest of you who are still waiting. I encourage you to play by their rules and call them when you are officially outside their reported timeline for processing. Unless your fiance is truly a subject of concern to them, I suspect you too will then have a sudden approval. It stinks, but it is what it is. I also encourage you to be courteous to them and not go nuts on them. I think it hurts you if you complain too much. Just bear with the system, and ultimately it will get you where you want to be. I will be at 6 months on April the 1st; therefore havent waited as long as you, however longer than the majority. Believe me, I will be on the phone as soon as it reaches 6 months!!! She told me that my case had been received on the 22nd by them and she couldn't give me an exact date on when it would leave the NVC, although it'd probably be around 3-4weeks and it was "Under Review". That's about as much as I could get from her. Got the case number though so I guess I can just use that when I phone in the future? Hopefully it doesn't take 3-4 weeks to leave the NVC, that sounds like something they seem to tell most people. Still hoping to get over there for christmas! Does it show on your status whenever u check it? I just saw that message was on initial review. Is it means our case still pending? I believe the only way to do it, is to register and link your receipt number to your account. You can then go to "My Portfolio" and it has a box that says "Last Updated" that's where you can check the date to see if it's been 'touched'. [Someone else might be able to explain the options better ] As for initial review, I believe that means it's still pending and the "Decision" bubble will be when they have approved it. I thought that the NOA1 was acceptence, It says under acceptance "USCIS issues a receipt number for the application or petition, and sends a receipt notice to the applicant." Which would be the NOA1. I could be wrong but it says under Initial Review that it concerns background checks on the Petitioner, which would explain my 3 touches in a row. I don't know why they'd start that if they weren't looking at my petition. Maybe I'm just being too hopeful! No approvals yet today it looks like, do they work weekends? I've actually had a really good day, I've been out in the sun[yes it's occasionally sunny in england!], with a few glasses of wine relaxing and reading a book! I have the receipt number and I've phoned twice, the first time I was told there was a error with a system somewhere and I should be able to see it the day after [didn't happen]. The second time I phoned I was just told that my case was there, I'd never be able to see it online-regardless of approval/denial and that if I wanted to check the status if my case I'd had to phone! Also that if they needed anything additional from us they'd snail mail us, yay . I've been trying to think of reasons as to why our case might take longer to be approved but we're both pretty normal (I guess that's the word for it!).. So who knows, I figure we're on the desk of someone who has one too many coffee/cigarette breaks. That's what I keep telling myself anyway. According to VJ though, I should be approved between 16th September-2nd October which also makes me feel slightly better. Tina&Roland! Congratulations!!
