K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	CEAC Status Updated- Again	What number are you calling?   I've been calling DOS @ (202) 485-7600 and they keep telling nothing has been scheduled yet.  And forget about the list. That ####### hasn't been updated for the longest.   I call 1 (877) 804-5402, but I have not called them since the 20th of September, given that they told me to wait for an e-mail from them with package 4... blah blah blah. I check the list every day... though I know it has not been updated since last month... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	CEAC Status Updated- Again	Hello everyone!   My case was sent to the Consulate at Santo Domingo on September 11th and it was in transit until the 17th. The status at CEAC changed to READY. Then it changed again on the 19th and then again on the 20th. I called the Consulate on the 20th and checked if there was an interview date already scheduled but they said, no, not yet, and that they will contact us through e-mail when they have scheduled it. We are still waiting for some kind of information but nothing till this day.   One more thing... if you read in the page from the Santo Domingo embassy you will find that they do NOT send package 3. Instead they send package 4, which consists of the interview letter and the information for the medical exam and vaccines... In fact, I don't know if the guy was purposely flashing it at me, but the papers were stamped approved before he even interviewed me. I will post my review right away here but.. Damn, what a morning. I left Surrey at 830 and didn't get to the consulate till 11. An hour after my appointment time. Thanks to an accident on the Fraser bridge that took over an hour to get past, then an additional half hour to get to the consulate from there, but they were really good, said that they were waiting for me upstairs, they waved me through, went through security and it was less than an hour in and out. I was so stressed about being late that I almost cried when the guard said go through. then the woman at counter B asked why I was so late and as soon as I mentioned accident and Fraser bridge she held up her hand and said ,"Say no more". Everyone was so friendly, questions were easy. They never even asked for any further evidence! Good luck to everyone still to go.   Congratulations!!! The lady mentioned that she thinks it'll be sent out by the end of the week, but that can change.   If she said so that's the way it should go. So happy for you!   I called DOS regarding my case still pending at NVC and the lady did not even know what to tell me because there are no comments made on my case, besides the fact that it is held at NVC. I believe that the consulate in my country is not taking any more k1 visas for now, reason for which NVC mud hold them until they are ready to get them, but I am really worried because the approval is good only until the 25th of november, and all of the interviews seem to be scheduled for December and so forth.    What can be done if the approved petition expires and they are still working on it? any ideas?	loran	Female	Dominican Republic	2013-09-09 17:26:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April Filers 2013 K1	Anyone have any idea how long it will be (on average) from the point of my case being transferred to NVC until I have a case number? I got the usual "it can take up to 8 weeks" I was like "That's from approval to being shipped to you, my case has been shipped to you as of yesterday." Then she just got curt and said it wasn't in the system yet. *shrugs*   My case was sent on the 15th and they received it on the 22nd. They put it in the system on the 23rd. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April Filers 2013 K1	They gave me that shpeal too but I knew it was misinformation, I asked to be transferred and a T2 IO filed a Service Request to have my NoA2 resent about a week or two ago. Then I called again about it, and I was informed that it was mailed out yesterday!   I would say call again, and make sure that you're firm that you never received the initial NoA2 and you're not asking for a duplicate, you're asking for the initial approval notice which you never received.   So don't let them con you into paying the fee for a duplicate copy, make sure you stand your ground and you'll get it.   Ok. I did that 2 weeks ago. I spoke to a Tier2 and she put in a service request for the NOA2 to be sent to me but today is 2 weeks after and I called and asked to speak to a Tier 2 given the answer they gave me.  The thing is that the Tier2 of today's phone call did not seem to know any more than a regular representative. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April Filers 2013 K1	Hello everyone! How many of us here are still waiting for the NOA2 in the mail since July?   I have bad news... I called USCIS and all they told me this time was that there was no need for a service request... blah blah blah, and that they will transfer me to a tier 2, for which I am still waiting a call back.   Also that I need to go ahead and file the form  I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition This form has a cost of $405 dollars!!!!     Can you guys believe this?! This fee is even more money than the I129F itself!  Any ideas of this?   I am totally amazed! I can't understand all of this BS!!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April Filers 2013 K1	I have not had my approved case transferred to NVC yet and they finally resent the approval letter yesterday after me hounding them for nearly 3 weeks.     I really hope you get it! I am still waiting for the letter after a service request put in on August 21st. According to the guy, "it's in a big metal shipping container out on the loading dock". I'm not quite sure how I feel about that, or how accurate that is, but at least it's somewhere, right? No updates, no nothing. I did not even get the NOA2 in the mail or anything, but I will be giving them a call on the 25th to ask them to mail me another one, in case I don't get it before that. Some people that were approved on the same week are being transferred already, and that is keeping my hopes up. This system is really disorganized... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April Filers 2013 K1	Ok... here are the results of my call with the Tier2 Rep.   I waited on the phone for over an hour and a half and at the end a lady answered. She said that "cases are NOT transferred back to VSC after TSC has approved them", but that within the next 30 days after approval the NVC should receive the file and I should call NVC to make sure if they got it. The same thing with the hard copy of the NOA2. She said I have to wait til the end of the 30 days, which would be on the 27th of August. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April Filers 2013 K1	We are 29th July approved. We received ours on 3rdAugust we are not transfers but we are from vsc. You should have received the hard copy by now. Hate to say this but I believe the battle really begins now with the time it is taking for Uscis to transfer files to NVC. So I am bracketing myself for the long wait. When I called I was told 8 weeks. Not to mention that they started as if yesterday to do another tsc transfer two people that was part of my may group that had not been approved yet got transfered out yesterday on the 6th August. God help us all lol.   It is a struggle all the way through, but the thing is that I have heard that TSC must send back to VSC all the approved petitions and then VSC sends us the hard copies and forwards the file to NVC and that process itself is messing things up for some of us.  Thanks for sharing your experience and good luck with the rest of this so called journey.	loran	Female	Dominican Republic	2013-08-07 07:31:00

So if they give you that attitude simply state that you'll need it for an Adjustment of Status once you're married.   Also, did you speak with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Immigration Officer? You will likely need to file a service request to ask for the paper to be mailed to you and don't let them "bully" you out of it.     I haven't gotten my NoA2 paper yet either. If I don't get it by Friday I'm calling on Monday to file a Service Request for it to be mailed. NVC Phone number : (603) 334-0700 You'll get packet 3 and packet 4 instructing you on what to submit, and how to schedule appointments with whom. Here is what I got on Sunday... On July 28, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283. Did anyone already received the hard copy? I am dying to read the actual NOA2!!! Impatient!    I have no idea how to make the appointment for interview, how much will it cost and when will I be able to do it. what is the number for the NVC?
