IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	YAHOOOOOOO    Get on that phone a few minutes before 7am EST MONDAY MORNING to be the first caller !!   The AOS fee went to N/A for me when I got my Case Complete AND it went back to PAID when the satus chaned to "in Transit" !!  So I definitely think that is a sign that something changed with your case.      Waiting until Monday will be hard  but   enjoy your weekend and get ready for GOOD News ! !!! For those of you watching the N/A on the portal, just like LoveMyTico, mine changed back to Paid as well after it was shipped to embassy. So possibly a sign!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	Hi everyone,   I wanted to post what I found out here in case anyone is or will be in the same situation I am:   My situation: I received a case complete on June 9th but I still had a package to review that was not even scanned in until June 6th. It contains tax documents that I thought I would get check listed for so I sent them so as not to delay our case even further. Turns out, they did not check list us for anything.   So, my issue was, we also received our interview appointment only two days later for July 22nd. I was worried that they would not send our package to the embassy without reviewing that last package and our package would not arrive in time for our interview. I have heard varying things from people on VJ as well as NVC operators (shocking, I know) but I spoke to TWO people yesterday who assured me that if my remaining package is not reviewed by the time my main package is ready to be packed up and shipped to the embassy, they will simply send me back those remaining documents and ship my package without them.   Hope this helps someone else down the line! We have the same interview date. Yay! This is helpful info because lots of people have freaked out before thinking a revised package would delay everything. Also, started collecting all my documentation for the Portfolio my husband will take to the interview. We decided we'll take advantage of having to go to Paris for the interview to make it a mini 2 night- 3 day vacation. Plus it's final exams at school and I'm swamped with grading and submitting grades. ANDDD the World Cup started, so need to watch those. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	That was a bust. Agent Kim (I think) first got the embassy wrong, then tried to tell me my case # was wrong. Then she said my IV has not been reviewed yet and it will take 6 weeks to review. I said the web site only says 2-4 weeks, why is there such a discrepancy? She said I need to give it 30 business days. Then I asked what date range they were working on and she said "ma'am, that is information I am not willing to give you".   So much for today being the day.     Not willing?? Eww.... Meanie. It's your week though and tomorrow it's already midweek. Your almost there!! So does this mean that when we get interview dates they'll be cranking them out like wildfire?? Maybe??   I am starting to think that maybe they've got July and August booked already. Is anyone willing to call them to ask them how long they plan on taking? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	My partner went for her Medical today in Brisbane, Australia.  We were lucky - they scheduled the exam for her even though we don't have our Case Complete email yet, nor our interview date.  Turns out all they wanted was her case number, so we could have gotten her exam done two months ago!   Anyway, I was surprised that they told her it would take seven days for the results, AND, she has to go back to their office to pick it up.  It takes us an hour-and-a-half train ride to get into Brisbane.   The receptionist said we could have it mailed to us for an extra $20, but firmly discouraged this method.   I, myself, think that $475 for an exam is an outrage, and having to go back to pick it up is too.  However, it is the last "tick" of the box prior to our interview, and for that, we are both thankful.   I see LifeOnHold got her CC email on June 9.  That means ours will probably come on June 11.  Sure wish we'd get that interview email, though!   I've not seen any interviews given in the last three working days at NVC...   Sukie   Holy Cow! I also met some pretty awesome people on here who know EXACTLY how I feel and who won't ask me WHEN MY HUSBAND IS COMING, WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG IF I'M AMERICAN, AND IF I REALIZE THAT IM NOT GETTING AN INTERVIEW IN THE SUMMER BECAUSE PARIS SHUTS DOWN! The post office was closed until today (Tues in Australia) I called them first thing this morning and my documents had not left yet, so they held them for me and I ran down and did a switcheroo with my paperwork.  So now I hopefully won't get a 2nd checklist!!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	Thanks for responding.   I suppose the only thing I am wondering is, if they had everything they needed in my first packages, maybe they would CC me without bothering to look at the 2nd package. That is what the lady that I spoke to at NVC lead me to believe by saying, "You may as well send it in, at least then if we do check list you, we will have the documents already".   If they have everything they need, why would they wait to look at additional documents?   Then again, why does NVC do a lot of the things they do? haha Because it might be something you sent in that is important/ could be important. Not sure if others got N/A without being CC. Best bet is to call. There was a group of us about two weeks ago calling everyday to find out (sometimes more than once... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	Hey guys, any advice on this?   So two weeks ago I realized that I forgot to include a schedule with my 1040 in my AoS package. After asking 100 people PLUS TWO NVC officers, I decided to send it in instead of waiting for a checklist. The two ladies I spoke to at NVC said, "it be better to have it waiting there then to wait for a checklist, at least we will have it"   Well, I called at 7:00A USA time and spoke to Waldo and he informed me that even if I got a case complete on my AOS and IV packages that were received on May 15th, they would not CC me until they reviewed the package that was received on June 6th. That is NOT was I was told before...   Anyways, when I just checked on the portal my AoS fee shows as N/A which it did not yesterday.   Could this mean a check list and not a case complete? Has anyone seen an N/A without a checklist?   Thanks so much! From the experience on here, it seems they wait for all your packages that were scanned in before giving CC. Call them to see if you CC. I see the latest people coming in and getting approved in 2-3 months and I'm like      Totally not their fault. It's the system. Certain people got stuck in it and now others are flying through. The one I talked to today was not the polite nice lady I spoke to at the end of April who gave me my case #.   And they are definitely not up to the 16th yet. She refused to tell me what day they're currently working on (I say refused because she said 'I can't give you that information') she said I need to give it at least 30 days bla bla bla. I asked if a July interview was possible for me at this stage and she sighed and said "honestly, that's not happening" and then quickly said "but I could be completely wrong" (I think she was covering her tooshie lol). I haven't seen any scheduled.  By the looks of the spreadsheet, it seems they schedule them about 2 weeks into the month also.    So HOPEFULLY they are coming.   Costa Rica is such a low volume embassy.    This waiting is horrible.   Is it me,  or does it seem everything seems stalled this month???   I completely agree. I mean I feel guilty sitting here complaining about not getting an interview date when others are waiting for the rest of the process. But we did our share of waiting and I haven't seen absolutely any interview dates being scheduled for awhile now. Maybe one here and there. But nothing like last month.    SO....... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	I started this immigration process March 25,2013. so I've been waiting longer than 1 year. its been 1 year and 1month, currently.   don't know if anyone else had this problem but. my husband got pcc from bangalore and it was shipped and delivered to nvc on may 9. when i called nvc on may 15, they stated that they received the package on may 12. but then i called yesterday, may 19. and the rep stated they have have a packet from may 12 and then they received another packet on may 16. but my husband only sent one package with the copy of the passport with the pcc stamped and the original pcc document... so i'm clueless as to what the second package is.. anyways all of our other documents were accepted. got checklisted for his court record, which we submitted and they accepted and then received another checklist on may 13, regarding pcc, which they have already, so when it is a good day for me to call to hear the words case complete? any suggestions. we have been patient, and it has been hard... not easy. thanks to fellow vj'ers for your assistance and input. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	yes i called last thursday to ask abt my case  status and if they get my AOS mail(deleivred 21 april) the rep said i can see here that (he was reading his screen ) we have everything we need from you just we need the supervisor to check it !! its been 1 month ??? is this mean they reviewed and accepted already !!? You probably already have Case Complete since the last time you called. Wait until the end of this week to call again because meanwhile you might get a Case Complete email. My revised aos was scanned on May 2nd. Talked to them today - still not reviewed...everything else has been accepted... Ugh... Mine was May 5th. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	hi all VJ family and a big thanks to all the effort to  help us go through .! here an update ;IV send 28mars,received a e-mail 17april confirming they received it and ask me for AOS docts so i send in AOS same day..so far since then  got nothing  just when i called last week the oper told me they have everything they need just waiting for a supervisor to check it..!! PLZZ can you elighten me what does it mean all of this ? i wanna know if my 2 packs IV nd AOS are accepted ..reviewed ?? when im expecting CASE COMPLETE !! ALL my deep prayers for all of you to fly over this process soon .   Have you tried calling them at the NVC to see if your packages were scanned in? I have been going off of when they scan it. After scanning your package in, it has been taking about 12-13 business days for them to review it. So you can use that timeline to see when you can expect a Case Complete.   Hope this helps! I wonder how many  get reviewed daily?  it takes them 2 days from delivery to scan.   And do they separate the checklist mail from the initial mail?   Maybe they have different departments reviewing different types of mail. OR maybe it goes into one big pool of documents and they just grab whatever they can hold and run back to their desks....   I guess it may depend on how fast each person works.     I hate not knowing !!   Now all I picture is agents running to the bins and grabbing a handful of envelopes and running back to their desks, dropping marriage certificates and police records along the way...  Not cool lol	LifeOnHold	Not Telling	Portugal	2014-05-20 14:15:00

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	USPS delivered my package yesterday so i'm not going crazy at this moment. i'm just curious how long does it take to review checklists responses.  i'm a lil bit in a hurry cause of my huband's employment situation. he's an english teacher here in Poland, school year is almost done and it doesn't make sense to stay here and waste time. i praying for early july interview. It's been 2 weeks and a day for me and they haven't reviewed my checklist yet. And I too am hoping for an early July interview or at this point any interview date because I am a school teacher and I need to know if it's worth waiting for him here or if I have to fly to Portugal because of his interview date being much later in July. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!                     I called at 1140 EST thinking there's no way I'll get through before they drop all calls, but at 1208 (gosh I forget who she was now  ), the rep answered!!   And they 'FOUND' my police certificate upon review by the supervisor, probably that 'piece of mail still listed in the mailroom' - which I assume fell off the package when they opened it to scan the barcoded sheet...     I asked her if they could possibly still be doing June interviews and she wasn't sure, but that's better than a definite 'NO'     Anyways, I'm so happy!!  My heart is pounding, and I wish this feeling very soon for each of you!!!   Oh my goodness!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I woke up and saw this wonderful news!!!! You must feel so relieved and ecstatic. People around the same dates as me are moving on with Case Completes and I'm still stuck behind. This is fun lol.
