IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	Hello everybody,   We called NVC yesterday to ask whether we have a Case Complete and Agent Tori (very friendly) said "I will give you an even better news, your interview is scheduled for June 2". We couldn't believe it. She said she totally understands how relieved we must feel and how exciting it must be to see the NVC process come to an end and have the date for an interview.   No Case Complete email or Interview Letter yet but it is exciting none the less.   Thank you everybody who knowingly or unknowingly helped me through the process. I am sure that this path would have been a lot longer and lonely without the information and support from VJ members. So a big Thank You once again.   Also, Congratulations to everybody who have recently completed this process and good luck to all who are still in the process or waiting for a response from NVC.   This brought tears to my eyes. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - May 2014	In reference to my question above, did anyone else have the same verbiage on their IV Receipt that unless you're doing EP you have to send in the DS-230 instead of the DS-260? I'm guessing the receipt verbiage just was never updated and that what Saylin's guide says is the correct way to do things. Please let me know.    Yup...the verbiage is not right. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2014 Interviews	Just wondering. So the medical will be done in Portugal and the interview in Paris? Is that acceptable by the Consulate in Paris? It is. The US Consulate in Portugal doesn't do Immigration Visa interviews anymore so the closest Consulate is Paris. It wouldn't be fair to make everyone fly to Paris just for the medical exam and then again for the interview. I honestly don't know how much help the Embassy can be especially since they don't have your completed case yet and you haven't applied for an expedite.... we're almost there. August is sooner than it seems! Was waiting on your Blog post about Case Complete. I stopped telling people about the little steps in the process because they kept thinking he was coming (it's not that easy people!!). But just like you, the couple of days before my Case Complete I was a wreck, a mess, falling apart, desperate, insane, psycho.... And then it happened. Anyway, can't wait for your interview date!!! Between the end of the school year, the World Cup, and getting the house ready for my hubby (aka spending 24/7 at Home Depot), I haven't had any time to go online. Tomorrow he has his medical exam. I'll post any useful information on here. On the 30th I am leaving for Portugal to meet with him, then we head to Paris for the interview in mid July. If all goes well, he can fly back with me on July 30th. Everything still seems unreal. But we're getting giddy about finally seeing each other in a week. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2014 Interviews	I hope not !!  I already booked my flight.  I am fine with the 15th.  I haven't heard anything.   SO incase anyone has noticed,,, I have been a quiet lately...  Well....  I will give you the short version...   Last Tuesday I was laid off from my job and I was al little freaked out until my daughter saved the day and said she would sponsor my husband. She filled out an AOS and gave me her transcripts for the last 3 years. We have a copy of her birth cert and SS card.  She makes plenty for 2 people.  dwheels and saylin gave me excellent advice.  I just hope the interview goes well and they accept the new AOS.  Our lawyer told me we should be fine. I just hope a copy of her birth cert is enough because she can't find the original.    Has this happened to anyone else?  What was the outcome?   Any help would be appreciated !!!!! Everyone for Paris is getting a different schedule. Two at the beginning, one in the middle (me) two at the end. So I immediately checked the ceac website and it says ISSUED!!! Yay! I'm so relieved. I'm feeling a bit foolish for freaking out on Friday. But thank you everyone for all the support. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2014 Interviews	Well, getting things done keeps me from the forums, and wow the pages add up fast (esp the NVC thread lol).   I have my medical appt and flight booked for it next week. My house is 'sold' as of yesterday after only 2 weeks, with a possession date of July 22, yay! My interview and flight/trip is booked for July 8th, and all my paperwork is ready to go. I've put in my work notice for July 11th as my final day, and my 9 days of vacation requests in order to get all the packing and affairs finalized, and UPACK is booked for mid July.   Wow it all feels soooo good to finally be able to act on everything!!   Oh, and CEAC states 'ready' which I soooooooo ammmmmmm I am so so happy for you, but also jealous lol. Wish I had a date already so I could book a ticket and move on with my life. Btw, you were totally right about your housing selling quickly. (see attached image!) We should all work there!   SO! In other news, I have been following your advice and I sent an email to the embassy this morning. Are you seated? Because you may be surprised by the answer I received...   "Dear Madam, We should like to inform you that we did not yet receive your spouses immigrant visa file. You may contact the National Visa Center for its current status as they will schedule the appointment. We only receive the files once they have been processed and the interview scheduled"   Ummm....????? Just read this! So what happens now?? Just keep waiting for the NVC? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2014 Interviews	Hello again, (Posting here too so other people can see my comment! ) We had a case complete last May 14th, and we are still waiting for an interview to be scheduled at the Paris embassy. We have been calling everyday since last Wednesday, but no much luck. I was hoping that the delay was "just" due to the holidays / long weekend (embassy was close last Thursday may 28th - and will be close again this upcoming Monday, by the way) and that they would start this week but... nothing yet. I am guessing that we are all looking at the spreadsheet wondering if we are all screwed by PRS or just nobody is "checking back". Pretty sure it is just the immigration process who feels like messing with us a little more. Bad luck from start to the end. This is ridiculous!! You have been waiting forever. And why so many darn days off? Don't they just get American holidays off? Or do they get the French ones too? Because if that is the case, then I clearly need to work there. According to the stats from last year, they should have been scheduling 4-5 interviews a day (for Paris). Why is it the closer we get the harder it is to wait and the more impatient we feel? He lives in Portugal, not Paris where the interview will be, so I can't find on the NVC site where he can go for a medical in Portugal because it states that the US Consulate doesn't schedule interviews there (which I knew). AOS checklist 9 May new AOS scanned to system 16 MAY so "around" 20 business days     Yaya!!! COngrats! P. S. My AOS fee did change to N/A (hours after I received verbal case complete from Agent Jean).   Mine changed back to "paid" after I got my interview date and it was shipped out to Paris.
