IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	Just finished speaking with NVC.   Case completed TODAY!!!!   According to the lady, I'll get an e-mail with what i'll be needing to take, they were trying to schedule me to a June interview, but the Paris Embassy has filled all the available ones, so July here i go?! Hopefully.   Now i'll be just waiting calmly (not really) for the e-mail with what i'll be need to take for the interview and the interview data.   Thank you to all of you,  specially: Saylin and LifeonHold.   And to all waiting hope all goes fast for you!   OMGGGG!!!!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	Nothing yet, but I talked to a really nice guy Named Bruce.. he had an accent.   REALLY NICE GUY !   He said give them a couple more days and volunteered MAY 5th as the day they are working on.  I feel like they are a little beyond the 5th.  Since they were working on May 5th 2 Friday's ago.     Hunny, they've been working on May 5th since last Tuesday and I haven't heard a peep. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	My docs have always said N/A ever since they changed the site.     Agent Sarah just picked up. She says the documents are under review and I need to give it 30 days bla bla bla. Then she said I need to wait 30 days from May 16th. I asked again about my May 7th documents, she said they're currently being reviewed. I explained that I was told that on May 23rd only to find out last week they haven't been reviewed. She said I need to wait for e-mail notification. I asked does this mean I'm getting a checklist. She said she didn't know. So I asked what day they're working on, she said she has no access to that and I need to wait 30 days. I said if it's currently being reviewed, how long does it take once an officer touches the file. She said 30 days.   I think I was talking to a robot.   I give up. Looking "forward" to joing the August interview thread.   No, No! Don't say that! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - June 2014	Called NVC after holding back for over 2 weeks and Valdo or Waldo said I had my CC May 29 and I should expect an interview date for July shortly......     I am a May 5th also and as of Friday they still hadn't completed my case.   Question: on the CEAC portal, did your AOS payment change from "Paid" to "N/A" when you got CC? It seems as though that is the rumor on here but I am not sure if that is only happening as a glitch in their system. And your still waiting?? Omg this will be me. You need to talk to them on Monday and find out what is going on. It'll be 30 business days as of Monday (if I counted correctly). I'll be stalking after I get my CC. I can't just drop off .  I will be visiting regularly. Maybe I can help someone .   GOOD LUCK GIRLIE   !!    You have to get your finger ready to press redial several times.  Sometimes I get through on the first try, other  times I have to hit redial 25 times.  And once you get through, you are on hold.   My shortest hold time was 18 minutes and longest was like an hour and 5 minutes.    Love/Hate    hahahahaha  yep !! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2014 Interviews	Now I am sooo excited I can't sleep! 5am and my eyes are still wide opened! I had a mini crisis situation in the evening as I couldn't find a descent flight - one that does not require you to sell one of your kidneys or to visit 3 european countries in 24 hours. But after 2 hours on the phone with my husband we made it! We found a flight for Monday! I guess you and your husband are ready to book the flight! Your goodbye on Monday will be the easiest ever! You'll only be separated for a few days hopefully! ;-) Thanks for sharing my excitement! LOLLLL at your statement about plane tickets. I said the exact same thing to my husband. Either we sell an organ or you get on a plane and only arrive like 36 hours later lol. Did you receive your package yet?? I'm in a bit of a pickle. My husband is supposed to receive his Monday, the day I leave. So he can't take me to the airport because he needs to be home to receive the envelope. We basically don't have anyone who can drive me 2 1/2 hours to the airport. If he had the Visa already we would catch a train the day before and stay at the airport hotel (which is what I will have to end up doing alone). We want to see if there is any way that he can go pick up the envelope at their main office. It is supposed to arrive in the country today since last night it got on a plane. This truly is a lot of work. But I'm so grateful that my one concern right now is just tracking the Visa and not wondering if he'll ever get it. All done with packing? I'm SO glad you haven't been waiting in limbo for too long! When will your life officially be off hold? He did tell me I'm driving him crazy (he's the one who married a crazy person, mmk) but I just don't want anything to go bananas at this stage! Once I'm there, we'll tidy up the loose ends, have a fab going away party and we'll be going to the Emirates Stadium to (hopefully) see the stone I had engraved with him and his late father's name on it! P.S. the interview date was moved to the anniversary of his father's passing - I'm sure I mentioned that before - so we got pops looking out for us :-) IF all goes well, and that is IF, my life will no longer be on hold as of next Tuesday. Then it will be, "LifeStrugglingWithAnImmigrantHubby" lol. I am absolutely the crazy one in this relationship. He knows, I know it, our families know it, our friends know it... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2014 Interviews	Well, I found I was too relaxed so I asked the Department of State to cause a major system muck up aka "glitch" so I could have more to worry about. It's worked great!!   Seriously, my husband is cool as a cucumber. It's like the final exam before graduation. You know you already passed the course, it's just one more hurdle until you can throw all the papers in the air Mary Tyler Moore style and run down the street screaming.   August 6th is creeping up on us, I hadn't realized it was so close until LifeOnHold said something to me about it!   You'll be fine, and we're all in here together for your last minute nerves :-) Girllll... You are almost there!! And then it's a nice honeymoon in Europe where you can devour your husband and pinch yourself to make sure it's real. I've been packing up hubby's things and he's starting to get nervous. He's also driving me a bit insane. But it's easier to manage when we're together than apart lol. I wonder if they send them in the mail the day that they are listed as Issued?   We bought a Express Post bag that guarantees next day delivery and we sent it to a business address in the city to ensure that it was a metro area where they guarantee next-day delivery.    Hopefully it gets here! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2014 Interviews	Our interview was July 22nd, so they have had my husband's passport for 10 days now. And no news other then sometime between the 22nd and the 29th they updated our CEAC status to Administrative Processing but they didn't touch it yesterday (Australian time).    I have emailed three times with no response. Even before the crash they were averaging 7-10 days to reply to my emails (Sydney Consulate) so I wasn't really expecting a reply but a lot of people have said that they're at least sending apologies.    Today was the very last day we had for them to issue/send his visa for my husband to make his flight home back to me. Now we will have to cancel/reschedule.   At this point I could care less about the lost airfare, I just want him here ASAP.   Hoping for some movement soon...     Same here. We had the same interview date as you guys and today was the last day for the Visa to be issued for hubby to fly back home with me. And I've already paid to change my ticket to Monday. I can't change it again as my in laws will be there Tuesday. They will be there to enjoy some time with their son in his new home and habitat before they see him for awhile. Except he actually won't be there. It's kind of funny actually. I think I'm going to hide until he comes. What the heck am I supposed to tell family and friends now when they ask where he is? I really don't know why it is updating this often, I feel like the Paris embassy has totally stopped editing visas, until it's totally fixed. Hope we will hear smtg soon LifeOnHold! I keep checking the ceac website every 10 minutes, I can't focus on anything else. I didn't even think about the flight tickets. I wanted to take a last minute flight once I received the visa, now I wonder how expensive it's going to be... :-( I sent an email to the embassy but they didn't respond yet. I think they will send me a generic message apologizing. I kinda don't care at all about their apologies. You mean an apology won't make you feel better? What's wrong with you? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2014 Interviews	I know this will not be helpful at all, but I'm wondering if it's updating everyday because they're trying to print it everyday? I thought about that too. I don't know if the system is trying to access his info. On their Facebook page they replied to people stating that they couldn't just stamp a Visa into the passport because the issue is actually getting the system to run that last background check on fingerprints and digital image. I feel like I should get a refund on all that money I dished out to try to do this all the legal way. Turns out they DONT need the original both cert. so I just wasted $100! Oh well, I have to send a corrected I-184a form to my husband to bring to the interview anyway so I guess it's not a big deal. I am shaking with relief!   Wow...you have the type of reaction I would have lol. When is was your Case Number assigned?   Also, what was wrong with your AOS that they allowed you to just bring a revised version to the interview? It's hard to wait though...I just want to call 35 times before getting through, to wait on hold for 25 min, so then I can have a 30 second conversation. I responded with the Birth Cert and it  has been at the NVC since May 6th in the am. So yesterday around 4:30 pm I receive a reminder email asking for the documentation.. then the lawyer forwards the email to me letting me know he received it...I called the NVC at 10:30 last night and told them the document is there and verified that is the only thing we need.  I got the 30 day blah blah blah.  So I wake up this morning to another NVC reminder to send the requested documents. (1:40am)  I just find it odd that they are sending so many reminders and I only received the origianl checklist less than a week ago.( 3 business days).. and they don't even scan the mail for a few days after it gets delivered.    its so strange....  Below is the request..   ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________ When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the address provided. ______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________ The NVC has received the requested Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) or supporting documents. However, we are still waiting for the response to the checklist letter for the Immigrant Visa Application or civil documentation. Please return the requested information so that we may complete the processing of your case.   I received a Checklist a week ago with no follow-up emails. Maybe they are really excited to complete your case lol. Kind of hypocritical to keep sending -reminders when you have to wait 30 days for the review.   Go check the mail buddies...Love's revision is there waiting for you! And so is mine... No no.... 5 weeks to issue a Case Number. I should have clarified that. Took them a week after approval to recieve it from California. in your timeline you say Second checklist response arrives at NVC MAY 5th.... does that mean received by tracking or was that the day they scanned it in?  I know mine was received by the tracking number, I hasn't been scanned yet... I'm on hold now because they told me to call and ask for the supervisor on Wednesday night.
