So nice to have you all to share our milestone I guess I'll be starting on my paperwork next week. We only have one packet embassy mails out and we just bring it with us to the interview. I already downloaded that one, lol. It's all about feeling out the forms now. To answer Nat's question, I still have no notice in my email, am waiting for Dave to get online to see if he has it (it's set up so that USCIS emails go to him and then are forwarded to me). But the website clearly states we are approved. We had a touch around 10 a.m. but I was so busy working that didn't post it here, and than 5 hrs later we saw it change from "Received and Pending" to "Approved" . Yevgenij I think she will need the KEV number. If you call NVC they will give it to you. Majority of ppl I know scheduled medicals a day or two before the interview. I don't know how far in advance you have to call them, though. Hope ur petition is on a fast track to this unpleasent weather, though Did you fiance apply for her police record yet? It might take couple weeks. Also, so u know u don't have to wait for them to send her a packet. She can download it in both English and Ukrainian at the embassy website and start filling out all the forms! Thought you might find this info useful Jenni, congrats on the dress!!!! And I would love to see the pic . All u do is upload it somewhere like photobucket.com and they provide a link u can put into the post. And, wow, u future mom-in-law sounds like a saint! Sandra, that is so funny! November one-way ticket from Ukraine runs for $1,500 At least you guys can get a decent shipment company in Europe, not so much here. Luckily Dave already moved one suitcase for me during his last return trip. Sandra, check out Orbitz, Expedia and Kayak. Those are the ones I've used before and got some pretty good deals ($365 one-way New York - Kiev last December). Just play around with dates to get a cheepest price. To make long story short, I only got one movie, cause Dave thought P.S. I Love you was something sweet I wanted to tell him. I was like sure, right in between of "27 Dresses (DVD)" and "Aloe Vera against sunburns". Nat, that is still very quick in "wedding dress" terms All of my American girlfriends who've just gotten married spent several months finding THE dress. I guess it's US kinda thing, people plan weddings for a year or more. Nothing like back home where a decent wedding can be organized in 3 weeks, lol . Hope you don't have a cold!!!! Kirk police certificate can be done in a week or two if you pay the "expedite" fee, lol . Little bribes go a long way when you are in Ukraine. Keep us posted on the interview date, hope they are moving faster than for the last two months. Here in Ukraine we have smth called "patronimic" (like extended version of fathers name added to the kid's name). I generally skipped it in my visa applications. What does your international passport have in it? I would say use the name as it is in your passport. And medical... well, if they are not asking for it, don't send it.
