So, as far as I know $131 for visa. In Ukraine they charge $100 for medical. Hope it helped smile.gif

We went down from mid-August to early September now. It might be because more filers before you were "found" (filled in their timelines"). Another reason is in small amount of approvals coming through in the last two weeks or so. I wouldn't give up hope though. I do hope to be in the US with my darling in October. Fingers crossed smile.gif Just remember VJ is just a small fraction of all filers out there! star_smile.gif

Kellie I wouldn't stress myself out over touches. There were numerous reports of petitions getting approved without a single touch. You are still outside of approval times. I believe they are on April 1-7th right now, so do not worry. It's coming!!! And for you, sooner that for anyone else here wink.gif.

DairyFarmer: I totally understand the bickering issue. Dave is really a non-fighting person. But me... different story. I am catching myself getting upset with little things more and more... Like everytime he doesn't answere my emails right away or forgots to do smth silly I asked for... I mean, things that would never be an issue if he was here... Am trying really hard to fight myself here smile.gif. I guess try not to take your frustration out on John. At least that's what I'm struggling to do here smile.gif.

It's just this hanging in the air lifestyle is killing me from the inside. I mean, I just came back from the States half a year ago and settling in here isn't an option, since I will be moving overseas soon. Hense, have a feeling as if I'm living out of suitcase smile.gif.

You sure you want to know smile.gif Ever since I found out about it, checking Igor's list became an obsessive habit smile.gif Well, it is a list were they track all VSC filers based on their VJ timelines. Thus, when you fill in a timeline you get a ranking and as approvals come in you move down closer to #1. Even though first 20 or so timelines are either non-updated or messed up smile.gif, so number 30 or so should mean you are close to approval. Now, all latest approvals are shown on the top of the page. So, by going there you can see 20 latest approvals. Here's the link: Igor's List.

Looks like you guys are #142 right now smile.gif

I never thought going to a wedding while stuck dealing with US immigrations could be so hard. It just stroke me that God only knows when I'll be granted permission to marry the man of my dreams. What's even worse, I realized that I will never have a real Ukrainian wedding with all family friends present. Is that weird?

On the cheerful note, at least I will marry him one of these days... and skipping traditional wedding is a small price to pay for lifelong happiness smile.gif

Exactly and because of flex time they can start earlier, as early as 6am in the offices. However I always go by the theory my adjudicator starts at 8:30am.

DairyFarmer How do you do it? I mean how do you figure out the times so precisely? I am so bad with it. The only thing that helps me right now is the fact that my laptop time is set to match Orlando smile.gif. When I was in the States I honestly tried to figure out the time difference to call my mom during decent hours and still her phone was ringing at the break of day smile.gif. And I'm supposevely really good with math too smile.gif

Alex I want to see SEX and the CITY so badly... But they are showing shortened version and in stupid stupid Ukrainian translation. They just recenlty passed the law that all movie theatres have to show only Ukr. translation as opposed to previously used Russian. Thus it is very hastily done and uses many weird words that can really spoil the impression from the movie. crying.gif So I have to wait!!! And really can't, I love Carrie and the gang so mucho smile.gif. Already made Dave promise to buy me a DVD once it comes out smile.gif.

AS to the shoes, am already stocking up for my move to the US - recently bought three pairs smile.gif I just can't find gorgeous and affordable shoes in the States. I mean, I wish I could afford those Jimmy Choos or Manolos smile.gif Hm, maybe one day when I get rich and famous smile.gif

I was just thinking... How many hits per day does USCIS webpage get??? I mean there are at least 3 a day from me alone... And I am not even close to been approved.... Wonder what will happen when we get closer to that date range in August or even better July smile.gif No penalty for hoping smile.gif.

For those tracking opening times smile.gif... they do work at home, too (or so was said). Hope that will encourage some of us smile.gif

It's been an ugly day here in Ukraine - so dark and gloomy, matches my mood sad.gif... Hope everyone else is staying positive. Now am going to go and look up that Mel Gibson movie everyone is talking about smile.gif

After seen ppl asking so much about Gardasil, I did my own web-research, and yep, it's on the list. I found a specific for civil surgeons instruction website on how to fill in paperwork for AOS. And recent addition to the vaccination list is HPV. Now, if you do it in the US, supposevely it will cost you $120 per shot ($360 for full course). Looks like one shot should do it for AOS, though. Doesn't really makes sence, since one shot is pretty much useless. For me, I doubt they even do it here in Ukraine. I was going to get all my vaccinations done here, but now considering recent events in the country am really scared. We recently had a high school student die after he got certain vaccination, while many others got really sick...

As to your medical, contact the clinic. They should be able to provide full info. As I gathered, medicals do vary from country to country.

GRAHAM: Thanks for yet another update!!! I also noticed that we moved up on Igor's list. This one was a huge jump: from 172 to 163 smile.gif. Glad to hear that Megan is feeling good. What an exiting time for you guys! So sorry you are not able to hold her hand through those little things! sad.gif Hopefully, it won't be much longer for you two.

As to me, doing just fine. Getting a little frustrated by the wait, buy, hey, who isn't smile.gif.

Jenni: My business trip was fun. I was visiting my team from another region (like province in Canada) for a charity project I was monitoring in one part of Ukraine. They did a great job and it was fun to sit down and relax with them after two months of crazyness and travleing all over the place. Feel so accomplished. This project is like my last gift to my country before I move away smile.gif.

Decorating your first appartment together! How exciting is that? If you need a place to look for cool things, be sure to visit IKEA (a lot of my friends are raving about it).

Melzy: I used to work with a girl from Australia and she brought us some vegemite - so tasty!

I will miss:
Ukrainian bread
Salty fish they make and I seem unable to find in the States
Sweet cottage cheese (all I could find was salty!!!)

A word of advice to everybody, once you make it to the U.S. be sure to check out World Market. It's an amazing store where they sell wines and beers and foods and decor items from around the globe. I used to go there so often to pick up German chocolate (my guilty pleasure).
