(not sure, what the others are) You and I and someone else on here just yesterday said their NOA1 date was also 7/27. Make no promises, but if your app was sent to Vermont, then... from all indications of the people here recently receiving the NOA2, ... we should hopefully be gettting some good news about the end of this month, mas o menos. I think many of their parents are "fairing well" and are paid around $1,500.00 per child in the USA/Land of Entitlement and Welfare State.... Pays to have more children, if you are in the low income bracket. 4 children, $6K per month... for those who are not in a higher income level, they do what they consider 'pretty darn well' for themselves (and, their kids??) If you've been reading here the past 3-4 weeks, many people going through Vermont are receiving the NOA2 90-110 days after NOA1. Hey people, I know... anything can happen, for better or worse. But, I wake up every morning with Great Expectations for the Life! I've been through this, with absolutely no problems, once before. Neither do I expect any this go-round. Counting my blessings,... for being sent to Vermont SC. Last time, little over 4 years ago, I was sent to California. Hell! I don't even remember getting an NOA2. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Text Notification of NOA2	If you completed and sent the form with the I-129F that allows USCIS to notify you by TEXT and E-MAIL, do they also notify you of the NOA2 by TEXT MESSAGE? After that? Further notifications by text message?? I sent my initial app for I-129F in on July 23, 2011. I received the best text message on the 27th! saying they had received my application. I am not real high tech oriented, so...lying in my honey's arms in Bogota, being awaken by such a text message was quite a nice surprise. So... I'm wondering, if they are also going to text a notification in regards to the NOA2, which quite frankly, I'm expecting any day now... more likely, in about 9-11 days. I'm asking because from all I've read here in the past month, and from talking to a rep or 2 at the USCIS, even they admitted that the website, www.uscis.gov, notifications are not always, if ever, up-to-date. It says, In fact, that's what my wife and I did, in part thanks to that bit of advice. Of course the subject never came up at the K-1 interview which, because of fortuitous timing, ended up being the week before our scheduled religious service. It never occurred to me that it could be a problem. It seemed like it was the best option for us to have the wedding for her family and friends and have a civil ceremony with a later reception upon arrival in the U.S. since we probably wouldn't be returning to her country until many months later. Then why not do a CR-1 at that time as some will ask? Well, that would have meant not starting the immigration process until after the wedding which was nearly a year after we got engaged because of her work commitments. Wait a minute--how come your profile says you are pursuing a CR-1/IR-1 visa now? Let's just say...that's a long story...but we are praying and preparing for our IR-1 interview on October 12. It is good to be prepared with those materials, but they might not be interested in seeing any of what you bring that day. Just make sure the information is well-organized, explained appropriately (ie, date & caption for the photos), and won't be a hassle to review. Hi all, I am familiar with the official visa documents for the interview at http://brazil.usemba...ncee-visas.html However, I had some specific questions about the I-134. Since the Consulate did not respond to my email from last week I will post here. My sister is cosponsor since she has held a consistent job for the last few years. She is not self-employed so does she need to provide her tax return or is just the banking info and employer info sufficient? Since I have having my sister cosponsor and I do not have consistent employment, do I just need to fill out the I-134 and thats it since I am not actively employed? Should I bring a copy of a recent bank statement and provide a statement as to my employment status? The requirements say 125% above the poverty guidelines. What is the specific dollar amount? My sister on her 2010 tax return made around $23,000 for her and her daughter, however her current salary that is stated in the employment letter is around $30,000. Also in terms of copies or originals, I am currently in Brazil and my sister is in the USA now and my fiancee's interview will be soon. It's EZ to wanna take the LAZY way out and not just go to interview, but not the best way. OP needs to send a brief letter to USCIS/ NVC / EMBASSY explaining in simple terms why the relationship did not work out, and requesting withdrawal of the affidavit of support.
