My lawyer has sent the copies over to me and advd me to read them so that i know the family history incase im asked at the interview... Now then the coincidence..........4 years ago on Sept 7th 2002 i was married for the first time... odd that isnt it.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Help please...last minute change	Hello everyone... I am leaving to go to Morocco in 10 days. I was originally going to get married then, I started reading here how long it takes to get a spouse into the US. I sat and cried for 2 days. I have 4 children and they are very attached to him. They talk to him online and on the phone. They mail him things and such, so there is no way I can imagine making them wait that long. It is hard enough for me to wait that long much less children. That is when I noticed that if you apply for a K-1 it seems to take a lot less time then a K-3. Can you tell me if what I have read is true? Will it be a shorter time if we decide to go the way of K-1 instead? If we do, can you tell me is there anything I need to do while I am there. I feel so lost....as everything seems to be changing at the last minute. I am overwhelmed, scared and lost. He lives in Casablanca and is a student. He has family there and two brothers here. So he has family both places. Do they consider this a risk when issuing a K-1? I live in Missouri. How do I tell what the time length is for the K-1 in my area? I plan on reading all the guides, then getting the forms, then filling them out, just for practice. I'm only worried that the divorce will somehow stop them from approving us. I do know that leaving him at the airport like I did yesterday is heart wrenching and i don't know how many more times I can do it. A lot of us are divorced and it has not interfered. Is there something specific you are worried about or is it simply the length of time that you anticipate from your divorce until your expected k-1 filing.... My first k-1 was was filed 6 weeks after my divorce was final and it did not seem to come into play at all. That is exactly what I was worried about. That goes a long way to easing my mind! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	New to this	My fiance and I met 3 years ago in a chat room. Became an "online Couple" in January 2004. Met in person Nov 3 2004 2 week stay in UK. Feb 21, 2005 3 week stay in UK. Sept 7 2005, another 2 week stay. Feb 2006, another 2 week stay and finally Spet 18, 2006 another 2 week stay. He is coming here for 3-4 weeks over Christmas. We plan to start the K1 process as soon as my divorce is final. Any advice and or words of encouragement, since after reading Visa info I am very discouraged. I'm Metis, and shortly after my birth, my father gave me my band (native) name. My fiance, his mother, all his friends, and a good portion of mine call me by my native name, however its not on any of my legal documents as I have not formally changed my name yet. All the same, should my native name go in the Other names used section with a supplement to explain? Hi, In your country if you don't have the name changed " LEGAL " you don't need to fill it in. As my country is pupular to change the name with LEGAL,when we go for interview we need to bring those name changed documents for their reference. I used the USPS and paid the high fee to send one package to my husband and they somehow could not find it or track it and my one week package took over 45 days to deliver. I know that the men coming from the muslim countries are taking alot longer to get processed no matter what visa and then 99 percent of them are enduring Administrative Processing or Administrative Review. I married in 2004 and my husband is just now coming home. I can only say to try and be strong and rely on your faith. I know each case is different and you cannot compare them or you would go crazy. I know alot of others on VJ filed around the time I did or after and have been long reunited with thier loved ones and it was because they were not petitioning a muslim male.
