We filed DCF in Oct 2008, got approved in Dec 2008. We are now awaiting oath ceremony letter for his naturalization. Hoping to make a trip back to Morocco soon. We are both working and Farid is the boss of me or so he thinks. I just reply Yes Sir when he tells me to focus on him. He has been like this since day 1, he's a riot. :bonk:

Had a great time despite my sicknesses but I knew once I had my ice tea with lots of ice in I would be back to normal.  Now we are awaiting Farid's oath ceremony which we had to reschedule because we took our vacation then. All is good and now we must start saving again for another trip next summer, God willing. We have been blessed tremendously and are truly to God for all he has provided for us both.

Happy to see you and Farid are having a good time!! Did I miss it or has he taken his oath yet?
How long will you be in Morocco?

Hey Jeanne, Farid got his oath ceremony appointment already but he had to reschedule as we were going on vacation then. He asked for it to be rescheduled after we got back. And we are here for almost three weeks so I will be patient and just be on the net and communicate with my parents on a daily basis. My mom keeps asking when we are coming home so we can go out to eat.  She eats like a bird but just going out is what she enjoys with me because I have patience with her and my dad wants to go and come back immediately as he has to watch his sports channel.

We went out today to a huge Wal-Mart type store and it was packed. I kept trying to go alone around the store but Farid would say not to leave him alone because there are many thiefs. We took along Momma and she was so happy to be out with Farid. I did manage to escape once but found Farid yelling at me above everyone else, "Rosieeeeee, Where are you?????????????
Silliness Indeed.

Hey starting the new thread for June. Hope all is well with you. I am in Morocco now and enjoying my time with the family. I am somewhat sick but then I knew I would get sick in Morocco as nothing agrees with me. I got sick when I was here the 1st time, but I am back anyway.

Just chiming in ....U know what is the most awesome part of this thread???

IHQ total stranger to OP got a male Arabic speaking friend to call and find answers for OP!!!

Gee whiz, this is like the American lady on whose husband was chatting with his female cousin back home about meeting up when he went home for a visit. She translated their chats herself using Google translate and his chats were not too nice. She then confronted him and he said she was misunderstanding their chats. She asked him for a divorce, he took some pills and ended up in the hospital. She got one of his friends to translate the chats and it ended up being all a big mistake on her part. She was totally at fault and she blamed herself for the mess. How convenient.  Once again they are back together and everything is just fine.

Why exactly would he be talking to his ex wifes parents? As hard as this is to hear this, if a man is in love with you,not heaven or earth or skywriting will keep you apart. My guess is he is fine and probably with his own people at this point and YES I have been where you have been and the truth is usually as unpretty as it gets. If you have been together for a while and he is not contacting you , he may be getting ready to leave you when he returns to the states because NOT contacting you is NOT a good sign honestly. You need to brace yourself for a split when he returns.. NOT contacting you is a very very very bad sign for your relationship and you dont need to be blindsided with grief and pain when he arrives home. I am so sorry to be the one that tells you this but for whatever reason, alot of the women here havent been in the marriages long enough or after they have been dumped, stick around long enough to tell anyone else what happened. My guess is hes busy. You need to find something to occupy your time and if you are really engaged or this is something that is real....he will let you know. He might be getting engaged to a woman from back home or had second thoughts about your relationship..He has his status .. and most likely he is going to get someone from back home if anyone to be with , not an american that he cant be bothered to contact.

Sorry.. its horrible and hurtful but its better coming from another american than you living in la la land making up bs excuses for his piss poor behavior

Wow I remember going through this also with an online guy I met and who married another American while I we were still speaking on the net. He was gone for three weeks and during that time I had someone else investigate him and they told me he had married another woman. They have since divorced and he tried to contact me after getting to the states and I declined his offer. silliness indeed b :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

Middle East and North Africaadministrative process or review

ok, hopefully someone can help on this question. We were put on AP (visa fiance). I have not heard anything at all and all USCIS is saying is that it is still being reviewed (doubtful). It has been 10 months and nothing. If i need to cancel this petition, how do I go about it. I am in |Morocco as I write this and considering narruage because I think they will let it expire and marriage I hope is the better solution. This is my 4th trip to MOrocco and again, as many of you out there, times you visit obviously does not make it any better. I will have been here 1.5 months already and on my last trip I spend 3 weeks on each trip. NOnetheless I am not doubting it will expire but again, my question is, how do I cancel this petition...

I just sent you an email.

Middle East and North AfricaThis is the day !
Congrats Tamara wishing you the best always. When Farid has his interview I did not attend with him as he said I would make him nervous so I stayed at home. He went in and out in 10 minutes and was not asked anything personal. He had the list of items they asked him to bring in the letter as well. The waiting for the oath was the hard part on us because he had to go get biometrics once more as they had expired and then we took our trip to Morocco so we had to reschedule the oath. But finally he had his oath and we are now applying for his US passport.

It feels really great to finally be over all this. Hope you can now take your vacation and have a great time Tamara. Much love to you.

Middle East and North Africai want ask anyone ?

Please use English only in the Immigration related forums and restrict other languages to the Regional forums only.

Google Translate (a poor translator!) provides this translation:

Chta precious, as you know that Algeria is a Muslim country means that when the marriage ceremony Cisilon for foreign spouse is it converted to Islam
God is easy for you my sister

(Simple translation: Yes, that is required to get married in Algeria)

You know I had someone translate from English to Arabic an RFE he got and it came out so funny that we couldn't stop laughing at the translations. He used Google translate as well.

Yes I am wishing everyone that is in AP be given an answer soon and those still waiting for interviews I wish you the best. I wish CASA would visit me WE would have a lot to talk about. I am bored waiting. OP it seems like at least you are being considered

Hey at least you know it won't be the garbage men who will visit you as I have not seen any garbage ever being picked up in Morocco. Especially in the large dumpsters, yikes. They are overflowing and people just keep throwing their garbage there. I lived there over a year and I would put my garbage in bags and leave them on the side of the street and make sure it was picked up weekly or else they would just drive by as if they didn't see it. :bonk: :bonk:

Middle East and North AfricaTips? Pointers? Am I missing something?
Yes I did all the running around as well, but it was all worth it in the end. From the day we met, got married, got his visa, got his 10 yr card and then got ihs citizenship. God is great. And I have found some good friends online while going through all this process. I thank each and every one of them.  And also my mommy and daddy. :P :P :P

I don't miss anything about Morocco, I was sick most of the year I lived there and got sick the time we returned on vacation. I am just grateful to God that Farid went through the system without any problems and we are here together in the USA. We are truly blessed.  Our family in Morocco also doing well.
