K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Our Visa Journey	So, after careful checking of documents and making sure everything is there, I have sent off our Application for K-1 Visa about 10 min ago. It wasnt easy and it took forever to prepare documents almost 3 weeks after receiving papers from the Misses (total of 5 weeks). But Im glad and now the wait begins. For all you guys that have started this process, dont give up. If you truly want it you'll be patient and hope for the best. Prayer is always a good method to fall back on in times of worry and strife. Thank all of you guys for your info and support and there will be plenty in the times to come. Yozhik Best Wishes!!!! Geez I haven't been here in a long time...the wedding planning was so exhausting I didn't have time for anything else for the past 6 weeks. Angelo and I got married last Sunday and on Tuesday we filed for AOS, we have already received the email and texts saying they received our application I hope everyone is doing well and moving forward with their loved ones I have attached a picture of us on our wedding day, everything was beautiful and I am a bit sad (despite the stress) that it went by so quickly!!  cap.jpg   242.34KB   16 downloads Congratulations!!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K1 filed first week of October 2010 waiting for NOA2	Well I was told last month to call today and they (USCIS Cust. Svc) would send an email to find out what's happening with our case, but all I were told is to give them 46 more days of processing today! NOT COOL! Note: jdesign to answer your question about "touches" its after you have registered online with the USCIS with your case number you can check to see how often they 'update' your case. I called again and ask to speak to a Tier 2 rep, but couldn't get pass the rep answering and she "read" what I already have heard for the past 30 plus days "they are still working on the Sept. 11th cases". This is so damn stressful to watch at times knowing we have been waiting almost 7 months for a green light to give us permission to go to the next step of being together!! I seen alot of October filiers on Friday getting approved (congrats to you), but nothing for me and mine (who also filed in Oct.)...what is up with these people at VSC??? Writing my Senator was a waste of time. I guess it wasn't close to election time, maybe they would have helped. But instead they are sitting at the bus stop sucking on a lollipop just like me. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Seriously starting to lose hope now....	You guys, this process is driving me crazy. The past couple weeks have really gotten to me. As we have surpassed five months and inched closer to six, it really feels like there is NO end in sight. When I filed back in October, approvals were coming after about 2-3 months. That didn't seem too long to me. As the months passed, I noticed other filers were being approved in four months! Some even as long as five - five being the absolute MAX. Now, as people's timelines inch closer to six and seven months, I never know when it is going to end. When is it going to be my turn? There are easily still a hundred before me on VJ alone. VSC appears to only be approving 1-2 VJ'ers on any given day - I know that is a small percentage of totals, but at that rate, it will be another two months before I seee any action. I've called my Senator. The aide has tried contacting VSC. They finally got a response stating that if my case isn't approved by April 5, they will put in an expedition request. But then what? Another thirty days after that? I called NCSC and put in a service request. When I e-mail customer service to ask about the status of it, they tell me the same thing - wait until April 5. Then you will be REALLY considered outside normal processing time (at six months!) and we can start to think about processing you. I used to excitedly log on to the USCIS website every day to check my status, multiple times. Now, I rarely go on - it's such a disappointment to see that nothing has changed. I never, ever thought it would take this long. I thought maybe I would even be a lucky one who got approved in four months! But as the processing times continue to expand and nothing continues to be done about it, my hope is all but gone. I'm depressed, sad. When people ask me when my fiance is coming, all I can do is sigh and say I don't know. All the happiness has been sucked out of my engagement. Isn't engagement supposed to be a happy time? Shopping for china patterns, celebrating this happy time with family and friends. It is not supposed to be a time for sadness, stress, depression, and being thousands of miles apart. I know many of us are in this same situation. I just had to vent. I am sick of feeling so powerless and hopeless. Best wishes to all. Don't give up just yet! We received our approval after 7 months. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	processing time for manila after 2nd NOA was issued????	i think the interview fee was raised to 16k+ pesos. and you don't have to wait for the letter from the embassy. you just need to call the NVC and give them your case number and ask them for your MNL number (and if your case was already forwarded to the embassy. then your fiancee goes to the medical with a copy of the noa2 you have as well as her MNL # and they will allow her to take the medical... then you call the embassy, schedule the interview (we had better luck with me, the petitioner calling rather than her.) if they ask if you received the letter to schedule the interview just say yes. it's always best if you can attend the interview with her... not required of course.	confusing	Male	Philippines	2010-06-13 21:56:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Has anyone seen this situation	Hello all, My fiance had interview in Moscow this morning, and since she is not Russian (She is from Iran), they placed her the last person in line eventhough she was there before 7:45am. After long wait, she was called to the windows and the CO was very polite and asked her the same normal questions (how do you know each other,...) and after everything was done, he told my finace to come back on Monday so we can let you know if they can give her the visa or not. Has anyone seen anything like this before? They did not asked for more evidance or anything else. Is this normall?
