Received the Biometrics appointment for 9/9/13. Hopefully can go earlier via walk in on 9/3. Can someone please update?

 
Yes you can just walk in at early date. I had biometrics for 9/10 , but walked in today and have them done already.

No harm in trying. Today when I went to the office in the afternoon,  it was empty, they didnot even ask me why I came early. BTW my original appointment is in Oakland, CA office, but my home is closer to San Jose Field Office, so I went there.


Okay. I was thinking same. Would try next week if they let me good otherwise will wait for 9/10.

walked in for Biometrics(my original appointment was on 9/6). There was no waiting , in and out in 15 mins. very smooth process.


I got Biometrics date to be 09/10 , so one can just walk in there before actual date and have Fprints taken? I am working on 09/10 so I was thinking of getting these done next week and not take a day off just for this.

Also updating this to add my Biometrics date.

@lml3g3nd - I received an email confirming that my application has been received. Nothing else yet. However when i track my nbc number on uscis website, it says that the biometrics appointment letter has been mailed out on August 15th.

 

 

I received the NOA letter 5 days after I received the email confirmation of application receipt. The NOA letter was dated August 5, and I received it on August 12. The priority date in NOA stated August 1.  What does the priority date is to mean? I also just peeked my nbc number on uscis website after read your posting, it says the bio appointment letter has been mailed out on August 12, but I have not received it yet. Am going to search my mail box carefully today.  If you have your noa date, I will help update it for you.

 

So I guess I should wait for email. Yet nothing so far. Maybe next week will get NOA email.

Greetings,

I was looking over some of the forms that my fiance will have to turn into the Consulate when he eventually goes for his visa interview and noticed that on the I-134 it required the date the US Citizen has lived in the US. My question is do they need the exact date? And if so, what to do if you don't know it?

I came into the country when I was a toddler and my parents did all of my paperwork for me to become a citizen when I was in my very early 20's. Due to old age and medical reasons, my parents don't remember the date I entered the US. The only thing that I know for certain is the year. I've sent a request to USCIS for a copy of my citizeship application with hopes that they will give me an answer, but have not heard back from them. I read somewhere that it can take them up to a year and a half to respond to such a request.

If I don't get a response from any time soon, I was thinking of attaching a notarized statement explaining my dilemma along with the I-134. Would that be acceptable?

Finding rent for $400 in West Palm Beach is like living in a box in an alley there. I used to live there and the price of living has skyrocket due to the major changes. West Palm has build up so much and the living cost is going to match what you are making at $48,000 a year. Do your research on WPB before making a major move...its one of the rich counties in Florida. It depends on how you want to live when you come here, as long as you stay within your budget you should not have a problem. It's a very nice place to live, but you will need to manage your money good to keep up with the Smiths and not the Trumps. :P

I need to include the note that says she was not "booked" in the documents list that we SUBMIT along with the N-400. This is different then when she gets to the interview. 

 

Is there a proper form for this?  Hypnos, thanks for your replies.  Do you have a format?  Is there a doc on this site?  Or just something that says she wasn't "booked, fingerprinted etc.." into the detention center/jail and signed by someone in an authoritative position?  Probably not a standard request anyways.

Hi.  

 

We would like to get my wife the US citizenship starting with the N-400. However, one of the questions on the form asks "If you have ever been arrested or detained by any law enforcement officer for any reason, and NO CHARGES WERE FILED send: an original official statement by the arresting agency or applicant court confirming that no charges were filed."

 

This seems to fit our situation.  She was handcuffed and taken down to the magistrate who did not go through with the process.  I.e., she was given a break.  

 

So, my question is, is this something that we need to have documented?  It seems if we send this in it would be detrimental to the process, but if we don't we would be running afoul of the law  So, what should we do?

This a peculiar request indeed. Can you get full clarification on the form required? You certainly do not want your parents to carry that "binding" responsibility, particularly if this is not the correct form. I would call and clarify that.

Either way, if the base income is adequate, asset information is not required.



had my interview on monday in Kingston JA....and well we were approved pending a co-sponser or wait to file my 06 tax returns...well my parents were VERY nice and offerd to be the co-sponser...
here are my questions....the embassy asked them to file out a 1-864( i know you use it for the AOS but that is what she said and circled on the blue form)
my parents have both just retired from teaching...i know there 05 tax return was very high so they are well over poverty....do they still need to list there assets?? i really don't see why...there pension is over poverty as well...
as far as listing who they are "covering" it is them plus my brother...and my fiance correct??
i think that is it for the questions for today...


i know i was a little suprised but that is what she said and what she circled on the 221g...wondering if i should have them file out the i-134 just incase it was a mistake?


Some countries request the I-864 for K-1 filers. If the consulate specifically said to submit it, then don't second guess them. Your parents 2005 taxes should suffice. My mother retired from teaching and submitted her taxes from the prior year and it was fine. Best wishes.

I cannot understand the pain you feel except that a very good friend is in your similar pridicament and I feel her pain everyday I talk to her. I know her relationship with her husband to be geniune, but what I know doesn't matter. In consoling her, I have tried to get her to be proactive and get some help. She is still under the impression that after 4 months that she should wait for "the powers to be" to contact her. She is in a state of denial.

I tell you this because there are others that have similar experiences because their spouses are from "high fraud" countries, and instead of focusing on what was done to you, focus on what you can do to bring him home to you. Regardless of what we think of the CO's in these countries, at the end of the day, it is their (job)decision to grant a visa based on the information provided to them.

A denial is heartbreaking, but it is not the end of your visa journey. If anything positive can come out of this, by the time your husband's interview comes up again, you should be granted the IR-1 visa. I personally think the CO's deny most of these visas to see which couples will overcome the NOID or NOIR and use that as proof of a valid relationship. Yodrak offered some heartfelt advice. It's not cheap, but money should not be an object to bringing our loved ones home to us.

I think the FBI background checks for the PCV and misc. security hoops for the future spouses strengthen their faith in the couples relationship. Not withstanding, the Consulate and PC have a good working relationship.

You need to wait until you get your NOA2 and MNL case number. You dont necessarily need to have a letter, but just the case number. As far as the all other documents, I would wait until you have the NOA2 so they are new as possible when you have your interview. Some of the documents expire in 6 months....it could take that long to get a NOA2 (not very likely, but possible).

Hi all, my fiance has received the package 3 today, I was wondering if she needs to send anything backup to counsulate, she read the insrtuction, but nothing was mentioned. I had read it in the froums before, she needs to send the part I of the DS-230, is this correct? please help me on this

Maybe I can shed some light to your situation. I was also told that Casablanca has started a new process with the court required document. I believe its called a Sidi Ali. Not sure if I spelled it right. If you turned in all your paper work then wait a few days, they will call you. No worries. You should not have booked your flight until you had visa on hand, so just pray that you get it before your flight.

the paper i got it is not having the Case G221 or G 222 or something like that because it is not a denial Paper :
And what Was Write on the paper that the Consular officer regret to not issue the visa For me For this i need to Bring thoose 2 papers and Wait untill they Will Call me !
the Paper i Say again Was not a denial One like G221 but i Wonder juste How much Time it is Take after they Call you and i Was juste Wondering if they Will Call you For Bring your passport IF they issue the Visa in the Same DAY ?

Hello everybody !
I juste had my interview for the K-1 Visa 3 Days Ago in Casablanca consulate , and the Women Was Asking me Alot of Questions perhaps Betwine 1 hour and half and 2 hours i was the last One been interviewed in the Consulate ...
After that she Give me a paper Wiches i dont understand what's going On and She Asked me to bring 2 more papers Wiches Was not in the instructions ( Paper from the Court = mean in have never been in troubles , they asked it even i give a policve record )+(a Paper Show that iam still Single ) i give them the Paper next day after the interview and they told me that they Will Call me ...!!!!!!
And i have a ticket plane for next Week ...Someone please Can help me and Told me if some people Was have the Same Case like that and What about that 2 papers ??? it is a new Laws ??? i dont understand and iam Very Worried about the answer and our Lawyer told us to not be nervouse and everything Will be fine but i Wanna use my Ticket plane because it Coast me Alot of money and Time !!!

yes We was make also copies of everything and we take alot of proves Such as a phone Bills Ticket planes and pictures and boarding pass and Joint acount bank and our statement and the G28 and all the papers from the lawyers and the proofe of income a receipte from our wedding Rings and a letter from the offieciant Will marry us in the Start of the year and the pictures From the engagement party and anything Will be helpull juste be Concentrated and Dont be nervouse juste Say the truth and You Will be fine We both Pray for you!

i wanna let everyone know that we went to the Consulate at 13:30 like they Was Ask and they took my passport and told me to come back at 15:30 and YES VISA IN HAND YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the papers was from the court, stating that there is no police record (kind of like the police certificate, but from the court). The second one was from the ministry, stating that the person has never been married. Both of these papers must be translated into English.
