K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI'm so sick of all these G325A question's
Ok guys. I am going to be mailing my forms to my fiance TODAY!!!

I'm still unsure on one part of the G325A. I did ask it on someone else's topic but got no response.

On the G325A, as the benefactor, where is says, Last address outside the US for more than a year. Do I put none, my current address (only lived there 2 months, or my old address which I lived at for over a year?

Please help because as soon as my question is answered I can print and send.

Thank you so much and sorry for another G325A thread.

Ohh OK, I see.

So how would he prove the relationship was not 'intimate' when she was 18? Or how can he disprove any claims it was?

How much of the relationship was during the time she was 17?

Luke and DeannaMaleUnited Kingdom2008-12-04 18:04:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresage diference?
Well does it not depend on what state you live in?

For example my fiancee is the US petitioner and she was 17 when we first started dating. In Minnesota the legal age of consent is 16, other states such as Florida are 18. So me being with my fiance in the US, Minnesota was not illegal as she was not under 16.

But I mean she is not the US petitioner. So I don't know.

What does everyone else think? Me and my fiancee have a 5 year age gap. She is now 18 and I am 23.

Thank you so much Breezie for your kind words. I wish you the exact same.

This is just the beginning for Luke and I. Once (hopefully), Luke becomes a citizen I wish to hopefully end up in the UK with him and our dog in the future. LOOOVE the UK. Beautiful country and lovely family he has there.

I even suggested to Luke that we should send along a box of chocolates for them. HA!

Well, I hope everything goes absolutely perfect and you have a speedy "visa journey". We can join the "Waiting Gang" together.

Merry early Christmas to you also!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresButterflies!
Hello all, I hope you are doing well.

So, after almost a year of looking into visas and running into walls I am happy to say I'm hours away from sending off our I-129F packet!!

My gosh, after all the hard work, tears, and frustration it all comes down to this. I just got done reviewing everything and it seems OK. I feel I couldn't review it enough!! I also feel like I'm sending my "baby" away; never to be seen again. HA. I don't think I'll be able to give it to the post office lady as I will always have that thought of... "Hm, is something missing?" blink.gif HEH, well my plan of attack is to go to the post office, dive in "close my eyes, hold my breath" and hope and pray for the best! Better embrace the sheer happiness, excitement, nervousness and worry because it's all for my love, ay?

Well, I wish you all the best and cannot thank you enough. From the pureness of my heart, I truly do. We wouldn't have been able to get through this without you WONDERFUL people! Keep your chin up to all that are going through this mind boggling tough process. In the end, no one can take your love away...

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I can finally stop doing my... cray5ol.gif smiley and start.... kicking.gif dancin5hr.gif kicking.gif DANCING!

Ha, sorry for stressing but with being the emotional person that I am, I can't help! blush.gif I'm ALREADY a stressed out wacko and it's just the beginning! By the end of this process I'll be mailing my therapy bills to them! jest.gif

Well all of your posts have definitely calmed me down. I don't care if the tracking is bad as long as it gets there and isn't sent back! ha.

Thank you and I'll scoot on over to where I belong now... The waiting crew!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresBIG MISTAKE?!!!
I just sent out my I-129F via USPS express overnight delivery service. It comes with tracking number, notification it arrived and signature conformation. Is the signature conformation (where they (USCIS- California has to sign when received) a bad idea? I'm very stressed. I got home checked visajourney and saw that some people had problems with it and the whole thing was sent back!

Please ANY advice. Has anyone had a problem with this?

Thank you

why dont you just buy the longer stay ticket and if needed change it to ! a shorter stay

I would do that but I have already bought the ticket.

Thanks to everyone else for the replies.

Just to clarify, I don't need to tell anyone just as long as it's within the 90 days unless I get a stamp that says specifically when I should be leaving?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresChanging Return Flight?
Hi Guys.

May seem a silly question but if I were to fly to the US on the Visa Waiver program and whilst there change my return date but still within the 90 days, is that allowed and if so would I need to tell anyone?

I want to visit my fiancee and my return is set for 2 weeks but I may want to stay longer depending on if our case gets adjudicated while I am there.

Hope everyone is well and happy.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresJust curious regarding timeline......
To us it wasn't accurate. It said we'd be approved in March but we ended up getting approved towards the end of May. You'll find it changes a lot also. A friend of ours got approved quite a bit before the estimated date that was given. I think it varies, really. Just aim for 6 months as it is the standard time it takes to get your NOA2. If you get it before then that's great.

Also, even though we didn't find the estimated approval date helpful, we still checked it out of curiosity along with Igors list. happy.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs This Enough?
Hey everybody,

Well I am currently in the US with my Fiancee and have been notified by my Mum that my packet 3 has arrived.

We have also been with Deanna's Dad to get the co-sponsor documents.

We have;

I-134 signed and notarized.
Letter from his employer including salary, full time and when he started working there.
Letter from his bank with current balance, total deposits over the last year and date opened.
W2's for 2008.
8 recent pay slips.

I hoping this is enough.

Thanks for your input.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresVisiting AFTER recieving NOA2?
Yes I just did this. I flew to visit for 3 months over the summer. When the packet 3 arrived my parents told me and I sent the forms from the US. Even got my interview date while I was out there.

As for immigration I got pulled for further questioning and was 100% honest. Told I was in K1 process and had NOA2 and had all documents with me but was not asked to show it.

All was OK.

Good luck and don't worry. Have fun and enjoy your visit.

Wait....

NO just kidding. I mean you do have a lot of waiting to do but the forms you need are the packet 3. I believe this site will have all the forms you need so just take a look under guides. The most annoying thing is just remembering all the schools you've been to, jobs you've had and places you have lived. Another annoying thing is that you can't fill in the forms and save them as it won't allow you to, so print them out and practice that way.

Good Luck but you can relax for a little bit anyhow.

The best place to start is the guides section. Has everything you need to know.

http://www.visajourn...mp;page=k1guide

The forms can be downloaded from there but if you like you can go to the USCIS website. Just google it.

As far as the fee and where to send it goes all that info is found on the form instructions. There are 2 places to file your petition and it depends on where you live in the US. There is a Vermont service centre and California service centre. Again it depends on the state you live in and can be found in the instructions for the form.

The filing fee for a Form I-129F is $455.00.

California Service Center Filings

File Form I-129F with the California Service Center if you live in:
Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.

Mail your Form I-129F package to:
USCIS California Service Center P.O. Box 10130 Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0130

Vermont Service Center Filings

File form I-129F with the Vermont Service Center if you live in:
Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Mail your Form I-129F package to:
USCIS Vermont Service Center Attn: I-129F 75 Lower Welden Street St. Albans, VT 05479-0001

All this info was found in the guides.

Good Luck with it all.

I don't see it being a problem. As far as I can remember I never had to show that stuff again. I think it's more for your own reference. I had all mine saved on my computer if I needed them but never did.

I think the evidence is good to have a copy of. You soon get used to printing everything twice and photocopying everything.

You will be fine. Good luck and I hope you get your NOA2 soon.

Well I have 2 middle names so put them both in the middle name part.

Doesn't fit on some forms so I write it out by hand or (I know it sounds silly) do a supplement sheet.

So try to fit both names on the last name section.

It is different for everyone.

Take a look at some other peoples timelines to get an idea of how long it took them. You can search timelines and even see the average time between packet 3 and interview. There is loads of useful information on Visa Journey. Start in the 'Immigration Timelines' section and look at other timelines similar to yours.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresYes, you can visit!
Hi, great post and lots of valid information.

Here is were I stand.

Me and my girlfriend (I am the Uk citizen and she is the US citizen)met in June 2007. She saw a video I posted on youtube and commented. It started from there really. We exchanged e-mails and began to chat on msn all the time.

On the 10th of July, I visited her for the first time. At this point we were not in a relationship, just wanted to meet.

Immigration at Chicago O'Hare - I was asked the reason for my visit and replied "To visit a friend" asked how I knew this person I said "Over the internet". This then caused more questions and a second lady to come over. After some funny looks and a few questions about length of stay (one month) and about my finances I was let through.

I returned on the 8th August.

My second visit is on the 15th of October 2007. By this point we are now in a relationship.

Immigration at Chicago O'Hare - Again, asked for the purpose of my visit, I said to visit my girlfriend. Then asked how long my stay was (88 days). He then asked what my girlfriend did -

It's at this point I must explain that I am 22 and my girlfriend is 17.

I said she is 17 so is still in schooling. He then changed and kicked up about statutory rape, 5 years in prison and how American prisons are much harsher than UK ones. I am shocked at this point, this never even crossed my mind. In UK the age of consent is 16, but America differs from state. So I am really scared now. He asks to see my itinerary and it shows im flying on to Minnesota and returning in 88 days. He then says, "I'll tell you what, i'm gonna let you in, but i'll give you one piece of advice. If I were you, i'd turn back now and go home. I stood there dazed and confused, but I walked on and entered the US.

Upon arriving at my final destination I looked up the laws for Minnesota and saw that the age of consent is 16. I'm still confused by it all but enjoyed my winter in Minnesota and returned to the UK, with my girlfriend (her first ever time outside of the U.S) on the 10th of January.

May I add, her entry in to the UK was hassle free.

Our plans were for me to come back to the US in April for 6 months under the B2 tourist visa. I had my interview for it on the 13th of February at 13:30 and was denied under section 214(cool.gif, that they believed I had no reason to return to the UK. Not enough social and economic ties.

That sucks...

So, there's my experience so far. My question to anyone in the know is - do you think my being denied a visa will affect any future visa's and visits to the US. I intend to go to the US in the summer under the Visa Waiver program, do you think i'll have any problems?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and respond.

Cheers

Yes you can clear US immigration in Dublin. Tho be aware this does not apply to all flights. AA does not use it, neither does flights in the afternoon.

Done so myself several times without any probs.

Oh. Well, at any rate it *shouldn't* effect your ability to use the VWP. But keep in mind that the officer at the US POE may want to see proof of your ties to the UK - if you didn't have enough to satisfy them for the B2 visa, you may not have enough to satisfy a POE officer. So you may be turned back.

It might be a good idea for you to route your trip through Dublin - it is actually a US immigration POE, so if you do get turned back, you won't have as far to travel back home.

I lived in North Wales so got a Virgin Train booked early so was cheap. Return was hard to guess though. Stayed in a TraveLodge in Marylebone which was £29 for the night plus I paid £10 extra for late check out (2pm).

Try their website, google Travelodge, you can search by hotel location.

It's so weird as we have seen so many people getting approved and dreamed of the day we could say that but it seemed so far away. Yet today, almost 10 months after starting this I we can finally say WE GOT APPROVED!!!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPacket THREEEEEEEEEE!!!
Hey guys

Just wanted to make sure I'm good to send the Packet 3 to the US Embassy.

DS-156 is done, 2 copies.
DS-156K done, 2 copies.
DS-157 is done, 2 copies.

The IV-15K, do I send that with the packet? I do have everything in terms of Police certificate, Birth certificate and Financial support.

Where is says medical date, what do I put? Does the embassy book my medical or do I call and book it?

Do I send the 3 passport pictures or bring them with me on my interview date?

Thanks for any help.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionFinal Check Need Your Opinions Please
I was just hoping you guys could have a quick look over my list to see
how we are doing.

Our interview date is coming up at the end of this month and want to make sure we have everything we need for it.

I have a black folder with everything in it... hopefully. So this is it,

I have a copy of the I-129F forms.

I have a copy of the proof of relationship which contains photo's,
photocopies of plane tickets, e-ticket printouts, e-mails, and letters.

I have a copy of the Packet 3 we sent.

I have Deanna's I-134 form, notarized in duplicate. Her 2008 W2
(original and copy), letter form her bank (original and copy), birth
certificate (original and copy) and she is sending me a letter of
employment and pay-stub (she just started).

NOTE* Deanna just started her job and makes under the requirements. We are using her dad as a co-sponsor who makes around 100,000 annually. With Deanna's little assets and part time job plus her dad being co-sponsor, will that suffice?

I have Deanna's Dads I-134 form, notarized in duplicate. His 2008 W2
(original and copy), letter from his employer (original and copy),
letter from his bank (original and copy), pay-stubs for last six
months (copies) and his passport info page (copy).

I have the medical questionnaire.

I have my birth certificate and police certificate (x2).

I have 3 passport pictures.

I also have the original NOA1, NOA2 and interview letter.

So there you go. Thats the list. Please let me know if there is
anything we are missing.

Thank You So Much!

Best of Luck to all of you
