I would like to thank everyone on here. This forum and been a saving grace and had guided me through so quickly. It is so nice to be able to talk to people who know what i am talking about and know how it feels.

I got my passport and visa back today, i was so nervous in case they couldnt find my house, and that they would have to reschedule my delivery, but it was ok. I have been holding my big brown envelope like it's a baby smile.gif

I am leaving tomorrow, and i am sad but also very excited.

See you all on the other side of the pond.....hmmmmm thats if i remember my login and password as i am always signed in on here..........i'll have a think.

So my appointment is at 10 am too. I am so excited. I'm already packed and have been since, my husband went back to the USA to start school, so could no longer wait for the visa. All i need to do is sell the car, and i dont have to get that done before i leave. my job all though full time, i am a casual worker, which means i can come and go as i please and dont have to give any notice. So pretty much set..... When you planning on travelling?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDoes Petitioner have to be in the US when he files for I-130?
Yes, we did everything while my husband was in the UK. he just needs an address in the USA, and possibly someone to open his mail etc..

We were not entitled to DCF because in UK USC spouse has to be in the country for two years.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresshipment of visa released by embassy today!!!
I just came through POE at SFO and the embassy told to line up through the visitor line, i did that, then when it came to my turn the guy told me to go to the other end, which took me to the USA citizen side, there i noticed there were signs for new immagrants, so i think if she cannot see one of them, then just with the visitors, either way she will be fine, it just takes a little longer.

Hope this helps

Hello all - So, now I'm getting uncontrollably excited, nervous, all that, mostly because we seem so close... but anyway, we sent Packet 3 back early last week. Wondering if anyone is in the same place in the process as we are, and if anyone has thoughts on when we might get an interview date? For those who sent packet 3 back in August, when did you get your interview?

Thanks!

I sent my packet 3 in for the K3 not the K1, and i'm not sure if they shedule interviews for these visa's in the same way. If they do then i got the letter back with interview date about a week after i sent it and the interview was about another 2 weeks. i then asked for another appointment due to not being able to make it and they rescheduled it 9 days later. They are pretty good.

I think it's Map B I have, literally two seconds from Bond St. and I hope I don't find it tricky laughing.gif
I will get there at 9am for my 9.30 appt because I know they'll get stroppy if I show up at 8.30 when they're having their morning coffee.. don't want to bump into miss happy. Apparently someone said she's fit laughing.gif mmm

We used map B and walked way out of our way. I think it was due to the fact that we knew that we needed to get there and i was stressed. You should be alright. Good luck

The IV bill is for the CR1. The K3 does'nt cost you anything at the NVC, it pretty much gets sent right to the embassy in your country. Then there is a fee to pay at the Embassy on the day of the interview, i cant remember how much that is. I think it is around the 130 dollar mark, but dont quote me on that.

ROCA

Thank you ROCA. So, I understand the K3 won't cost anything until at the Embassy. How much do the CR1 paths cost at NVC Level?

At the NVC the petitoner needs to pay a $70 fee for the I-864, and the benificiary needs to pay.....erm... trying to rack my mind, i really cant remember the cost of that..... i think it's $355.

i also believe that there is no cost when you get to the embassy except the cost of them mailing your passport back to you.

Maybe someone else will reply and either confirm what i ahev told you or correct me.

The best thing to do is get everything ready to go, and also tripple check for little mistakes, and you could be out of there really quick.

I believe that people are still using them, and they are still working. Although many people are opting to use Lotto's guide, now that you can pay online. It is much quicker than James short cut.

Before you hit the road when the passport arrives--write in and let us know how the interview went. I for one am so anxious about our upcoming interview that I look forward to reading the reports of others--it gives hope and ideas on what to plan for!
All the best at the interview and your upcoming travels!

Yep no problem. I'm sure i'll find time on Friday evening. I like reading them too. I've been through all of them on the london reviews. I wish there were mroe i could read.

I have been packed for that long because we moved out of our house before he left, so that we would'nt be paying rent. So decided to live with parents and living out of suit cases.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK3 expedite request granted
We filed to have it expedited on the grounds of uscis error. We would of had our petition filed in January if there was'nt contridicting information on forms and official webistes of how and where to file. My mother in law who is a USC called the customer services and that particular representative said we had no grounds to file an expedite request but it depends on who you get through to.

So, i called them from the UK, and sopke to another rep (who was very sharp) and said we want to put a request in and she asked on what grounds do we think we have. She said it would take up to five working days, but however if it takes longer don't call, just means your request is taking a little longer. A little longer.......2 and half weeks.

I was kinda shocked that we got it, but very happy. We just hope it will be quicker now.

We received a letter yesterday from CA service centre, saying that our request to expedite our I-129f petition has been granted. Does anyone have experience of how quick they expedite the petition now? Do they just expedite it through the intial approval stage at the service centre or is it expedited all the way through?

Also for the interview in London, do i need to have the orginals of certificates and also an official copy of them or can i have just the orignals and a photocopy?
