sounds like you have evidence sufficient as long as it establishes an "ongoing" relationship and not just what you have collected in a couple of months

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionboss unwilling to verify income in annual rates
if it is not a seasonal job / guaranteed 40 hours per week then you should definately explain to your boss to simply write the calculations on the sheet. (I am not recommending that you have your fiancee write this information on the sheet, but it would certainly speed things up)
for example he writes "employee x makes $10 per hour"

$10 hourly rate
2080 hours annually
$20,800 annual salary

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionJust got my Interview Date! HELP!!!
I couldn't agree more about the shout out to everyone that helps along the process at VJ and the guides for reference.

As far as the required / recommended materials to be taken to the interview; besides the documents listed on the page that TracyTN posted .. it seems to be recommended that you have all of the documents (originals) that were submitted by the petitioner to the USCIS (you definately want to review this information extensively before the interview)

Here are a couple of more links that may be helpful

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionSerious Problem!!!!
Billsafari,

You have much good advice spread throughout your multiple posts on this subject. The advice is being given by members with much more knowledge than me on this subject, and although you PM'ed me asking for help, I believe that I will refrain from replying about the subject matter directly and simply wish you good luck with it.

Listen to the folks here and stop letting your imagination run wild. If you see a post that sounds credible, click on that posters picture .. review the posts that they made recently (this is what I do anyways) and make a determination if this is a person that seems knowledgable about the issue and has a history of credible posting in the past (do they reference actual facts, past posts, guides, etc. or if their posts are based on their beliefs.

Finally, if you determine that you want to withdraw your petition and reapply with different information I recommend that you do it before your case is adjudicated by CSC (june).

Again, good luck with your situation .. everything will work out just fine.

Medical Examination and Immunization information is required at interview time, therefore posts on the subject should be made in the The Forum Embassy and Consulate General Discussion Forum which is located HERE.

You can also find the more appropriate forum by clicking on the “Forums” tab at the top of this page and scrolling down the page that opens. Look for the The Forum Embassy and Consulate General Discussion Forum link on the list.

This thread has already been moved to that forum therefore the OP does not need to resubmit it, but any research that members might want to do on the subject can be done there as well.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionManila Just Received Packet From NVC
I used the information here to track the shipment from the NVC to Manila. I then signed up for email delivery notification thru DHL. Got the email last night. April 23, 2007 in Manila

My questions are this ..

Why are some of the members going thru the Manila embassy showing a Packet 3 in their timelines and some are not? In a post that I read this morning I understand that my fiancee will not receive a Packet 3 from the embassy, is this true?

Now that our information is at the embassy I did a timeline search to try and figure out how long Mylene will have to wait for her interview. I see that the amount of time between the dates that the Embassy receives the petitions and the dates of the interviews are all over the place .. some are two months, some are four months. Anyone care to venture a guess how long it will take for mine?

My wishful timeline below was established by using an average for k-1 visa's that were approved recently, but is not Consulate/Embassy specific.

Thanks for your imput,

CB

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionannoy?
I would consider the context of your phone conversation more disrespectful than annoying. I'm sure that the employee's at every embassy understands that beneficiaries are anxious to get answers, and they probably expect it.

I believe that Yodrak is correct, not so much anymore is the squeeky wheel greased but rather tossed aside .. consider this as well; you can catch more flies using sugar than you can using vinegar.

Also consider, if the same people that answer the phones are also working the cases that you are slowing the process for everyone that is waiting by being so eager to get answers about your case ..

Just a thought ..

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionJapanese Police Clearance Requirements
Sorry for the double post but I forgot to mention some important information about the process ..

Update ..

Once the US Embassy / Manila receives the Case Number from the NVC you can call them at

011-63-2-528-6300 press 7 that you know the extension then enter 5184# (very helpful, great english)

I as the petitioner called personally and explained that it takes so long to get the Police Clearance from Japan that I would like to get the "request for police clearance" for Mylene as soon as possible so that we can get it started. She made a note to the electronic information on the case and said that Mylene should be at window X at exactly 1:00 p.m. with her passport/ID to get the request.

Mylene arrived at the USE at 12:15 she had to leave her cell phone at a cafe down the road, and throw her cigarettes and lighter away (BTW the guard wasn't going to let her into the embassy at all until she explained to him that I called the embassy personally and that she was instructed to be at Window X at exactly 1:00 p.m. .. then there wasn't a problem) She was entertained at approximately 2:30 p.m ..

At window X the representative told her that she could not entertain her until she had received her pre-interview letter once again Mylene explained that I had called the embassy that morning and that the representative that I spoke with told her to be there at exactly 1:00 p.m The representative then took our case number and looked at Mylene's passport and asked her to sit down. After several minutes the representative returned and called her name, she then presented Mylene with a document explaining that a note had been added to her G-325 (geographical data sheet) requiring a police clearance from Japan due to the dates that she was working there, as well as a request for police clearance to present to the Japanese Consulate ...

Mylene then went to the Japanese Consulate, took a number, and waited for 45 minutes. When they called her number she presented the request for police clearance to the representative at the window. The Representative then gave her 3 forms to fill out requesting the police clearance and instructed her to go to Camp Crame (on Esda Street in Quezon City) to get her fingerprints taken then to return with the paperwork from Camp Crame and from the Consulate Completed.

Due to the late appointment times, long waits times, and heavy traffic .. it took Mylene 2 days to get this process completed .. the traffic in Manila is very bad on Wednesdays and Fridays so try to avoid those days if possible.

At this point the waiting begins (it is reported to take 2 to 3 months to get the police clearance from Japan)

I will reply to this thread with the total costs for fingerprinting and police clearance when she returns today.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionJapanese Police Clearance Requirements

Hi country boy,

i accompanied my cousin last month and she has the same problem. they lived in japan for two years since she's married to a US navy serviceman. your fiancee needs to go to the US embassy to request for that clearance. the embassy will entertain inquiries at 2pm mon to thurs (not sure) we went there monday 11am and were told to go back at 2pm which we did and at the information the girl made the request (she needs to wait for it) and give it back to jap embassy (it's just a one ride by fx). the only complication is she will have to wait for two months for the release of the clearance. i hope this will work.... good luck!

Do you know what she needs to bring along with her to the embassy to make the request? case number? copy of 129f? nothing at all?

Thanks again

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionJapanese Police Clearance Requirements
My fiancee just called me from the Japanes Consulate in Manila Philippines and said that they need a request from the U.S. Embassy in order for her to get a police clearance from Japan. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get them to get the clearance for her? The representative said that it will take 2 to 3 month's to get the clearance processed and if we wait until her packet 3 arrives before she calls the U.S. Embassy to get a request that will put her interview date very late. We haven't even received NOA2 yet, but we want to get ahead of the game.

Thanks

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionquestion about fiancee's child

hi to all! i hope someone can answer my question. I have a filed for a fiancee visa for my girl in the Philippines, everything went well with the interview and she is just waiting for her police clearance from another country she worked in. After that they will release her visa. The embassy of Japan (which the country she worked in) said that it will be released between now and 1 1/2 months from now. My girl is pregnant right now and is due in 2 months. If for some reason she gives birth there, I understand that she can take our child as a k-1 dependent.

My question is , does anyone here know what the processing time is for that type of situation? Do i have to wait another 8 months for them to get here? or will it be sooner? Any info would be appreciated.. thanks.

No problem bringing your child .. but I wonder why it is taking so long for your girl's police clearance, you posted about it in January and it is now April.
