K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCan it be done?
So many times posters will post topics that are related to the country of their fiancée without stating the country directly, this isn't a problem if the timeline has been filled out because you can see the beneficiaries’ country under their member name to the left of their post.

Posters will also ask information about the different NOA's (times etc.) and this wouldn't be a problem if there was information about which service center that they filed thru and the date that the petition was filed, but so many times when I click on the OP's "timeline" there is nothing entered.

Would it be possible to redirect new posters to the timelines page when they click on "Post New Topic" within a forum or the "Reply" button within a post if they have not yet completed at least the Service Center and beneficiaries’ country in their timeline? Or perhaps make these 2 entries a requirement when setting up the account initially.

If you are reading this and thinking .. "I should do that." please click the link HERE and fill out your timeline.

Just a thought..

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresquestion about where to post ..
I have a friend that recently was looking at a filipina dating site (the one that I met my fiancee at) but he has recently decided to pursue someone from russia or the surrounding countries ..

my question is this, does anyone have any suggestion as to which forum I should post a question requesting good / legitimate websites where he can meet women from this part of the world (pm's only of course)

Thanks,
CB

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMisspelled middle name, kind of!!!
if you call and do anything it is guaranteed to slow things down .. if you wait for an RFE (which I doubt shows up) it will only be a few of extra days

I say just do your best, it is highly unlikely that the USCIS will expend the effort required to verify this information anyways .. I would include your fiancee's jobs but make an educated guess as to the dates of her employment

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2!! Need some advice!!
:) Wow, wish I was you .. spending 3 months with your fiancee and coming back to be married afterward .. that is so great
CountryBoyMalePhilippines2007-04-13 23:04:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureswhat "requesting additional evidence" mean?
you will find out the details of their request when you get the RFE in the mail, as far as slowing it down .. if you supply the requested document/information right away it just means that you will get your NOA-2 soon afterward.

 It will all work out just fine

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow do I know I got touched?
My experience has been that if you call the USCIS and talk to an operator directly requesting information about your case then you "might" get a touch as well; I did when asking my receipt number 1 time, and again when I called requesting that they resend NOA-1 hardcopy because I never received it by mail (the Cust. Serv. Rep. said that if they resent the NOA-1 that it would slow down the process, so I told him to forget about it .. but I still got a touch)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresJust a reminder about where to post
TimsDaisy,

I agree with you, somewhat; but maybe I am just to used to the way things were and don't care much for change. I guess sometimes it CAN be good.

As I stated previously, I think that if there was a link to the congrats page at the top of the general discussion page then it would simplify the process of navigating to the "split method" as you called the new subforum. Also in my opinion, it would be even better if that link opened in a new window.

As with all of my posts, this is simply my personal opinion.

Is there are way to put a link directly to the subforum at the top of the k-1 discussion forum page so that posters/browsers don't have to navigate back to the main forums page and then forward again to the subforum?

Just a thought.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAre we too poor to be in love?
For poverty guidelines click HERE

The requirement for income would include all individuals that will be supported by it..

For example

You, your fiancee, your father, your mother, siblings that can still be claimed by the sponsor ..

I know there will be at least 4 in the family so the minimum to make 125% of poverty level will be $25,813 (this number will be more if there are more in the family)

It is my opinion that there are too many IF's in this situation .. Good Luck none the less

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 Docs to File and a few more ???
When referring to the guides, I highly recommend that you pay close attention to the document/evidence type submitted (certified, an original or copy, or notarized) as some of the original documents need to be sent to the beneficiary for the interview.

I overdid my application as I included the proof of support and I-134 when I filed originally and that is definately not needed until interview time, but you are more than welcome to view my packet if you wish by clicking HERE

Good luck in your journey.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresUSCIS and NVC say I have an attorney
meauxna,

I already contacted their office by submit form from that website and I simply forgot to mention it in my previous posts.

Thanks for the help none the less.

When I log on it says nothing about this person ..

I think what might have happened is that, that person was setting up their online case, and mistakenly typed their reciept number (which ended up being yours), and she was entered on as a recipient to your case. She might be wondering why she's getting notices on your case, instead of hers.

Did you look her up?

(the first google hit on her name is a little non-work appropriate!)

Noone else signed it ..

Better email them back to let them know that there's no third party/lawyer involved when you filed your petition. Let them know that you and Mylene was the one who did all the preparation of those papers and no lawyer involved. I'm wondering where they get the idea that you used a lawyer, is somebody signed below all the application other than you and Mylene?

Yodrak,

Doing it as we speak.

Thanks,
CB

CB,

I think I would send a request to the NVC to remove Ms Jones from the case, not knowing what USCIS screw-up got her name associated with the case in the first place.

I think I would also try to contact her office to find out if she has received any information about your case. She may be as confused as you if she has, and if she hasn't then maybe the screw-up is only on the notice and not embedded in 'the system'.

Yodrak

Has anyone else encountered this situation?

When I received my NOA-2 it stated ..

Courtesy Copy: Original sent to: Jones, Maria V

This courtesy notice is to advise you of action taken on this case. The official notice has been mailed to the attorney or representative indicated above. Any relevant documentation included in the notice was also mailed as part of the official notice.

hmmm, I don't have a lawyer or representative retained for the processing of my petition/visa, Mylene and I did it all ourselves with the help of the guides and posts on VJ.

Does anyone know if this will affect the process or can I just leave it alone and let it die? NVC said that I could send an email to remove the third party if I so wished, but is there any need to?

Thanks,
CB

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNo notice sent yet for my 2-15-07 I-129F
I never received my NOA-1 at all .. NOA-2 arrived without incident ...

When I called, the Customer Service Rep. said it wasn't a problem and if they had to regenerate another NOA-1 that it would slow the process of processing the petition because an Adjudicator would have to physically touch my packet and then it would go "to the back of the line".

No worries ..

Congrats on starting your process
