PhilippinesK-1 Visa denied at interview, for meeting at Cherry Blossoms.com
I know that one of the questions on the I129F form initially filed asks if you met through a marriage broker.

I also know that Cherry Blossoms will file your papers/assist you essentialy for a fee and I have yet to actually talk to anyone that has used their services and had thought about using this service because I wanted to make sure the papers were all correct....but decided not to. Filipina heart, well seems like just a meeting place for people. Sorry to be so ignorant about both of these places, if in fact they are marriage brokers.

But it does seem to be an important area in question. I would make very sure that, from the get go, that in your hearts you know that you are meant to be with one another and have a lot of proof, ongoing proof. Just be very detailed and organized with anything you send or file..and be honest.

The guide up above gives you quite a bit of information in putting together the packet and the rest of the process. Take some time to read it over.

No you don't send the I134 in with the initial petition. It goes later to the embassy unless requested earlier for some reason.

Thank You Sir ! kicking.gif And I have enjoyed also reading your posts here. I need to get the stress level down here. And yes, this is the guide I believe we initially used and have saved. Thanks Again.

helpsmilie.gif I read this here that someone had also sent in the I134 form as well with their I129F packet. Tell me this isnt needed right now. We had heard that it wasnt needed initially. Also, if not initially, when does the I134 need to be sent in? and to whom?

thanks

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsTrying to stay positive
I had read that (somewhere out here) that calling them 'could upset them' and move you to the bottom of the list. And then I have read that, it doesnt matter if you call them, they move at their own pace.

I dont know...I have never filed a visa petition before. So, as many others here, we wait also whether our time is due or not today. What we all have done however, is we have all have opened ourselves up to relying on someone else to approve our relationships, bring us back together with the ones we love and that bring us contentment. And I think we all feel helpless at times when its out of our hands and in someone elses hands we dont even know and will never meet.

All we have in this process is this board here. And first and foremost our loved ones overseas. The system for what ever reason(s) isnt the best thats for sure. I just try to remember that one of the attributes of love, is patience.... and kindness. And that whenever I speak with my Baby, I need to always remember that. Its about us, not uscis. And I try to focus on our love and all of the happy memories that are going to be made.

We want our NOA2 today, and we will believe that today is the day. And tomorrow we will recieve notice if not today.

So who do we call immediately to get this corrected, anyone know? THANKS helpsmilie.gif

This was their error, all of our papers are correct.

They missed one letter in my surname. My fiance e-mailed NVC and got a reply to contact the USEM because the case is no longer with them. It also stated to send a passport copy with my name in it. We just don't know if they meant e-mail or standard mail. You can call the US Embassy Call Center 1-888-877-9888, Monday-Friday 8 am-6 pm Manila time. I hope this helps smile.gif

P.S.
Same here, all our papers are correct too.

THANKS......we will do this very soon then. The woman I spoke with at NVC however said that it would be changed in Manila at the Embassy when the passport is presented. We want to make sure.....so I will follow your instructions. Thanks Again ~ david

I'm annoyed with this too. It doesn't say it anywhere on the I-134 nor did any of my fiance's instructions tell him to bring tax returns.
i got them ANYWAYS and sent them along because people here keep insisting.

Im afraid, annoyed or not, this has to be done. But come to think about it, they werent to specific with the other forms as well when filing for this K-1. So i will just do what Iam told at USEM for now.

It does concern me (after reading your post above) in that, even the instructions/packet didnt say, make reference to or ask for, require this with your case. Maybe this is a "By Country Thing".....depending on what country your fiance is from? This would make this process a lot easier and less confusing.....gees, i dont need more stress wacko.gif

A copy of the sponsor's most recent Federal income tax return (Form 1040) should accompany the I-134. Fax copies of the ITR are acceptable.

helpsmilie.gif After doing much research and also reveiwing/reading the actual I-134 thats available to download, im confused as to this requirement or is it a requirement?

It clearly states that "if you are self employed" then the latest or past 3 years 1040 is required. But if you are "not self employed" then you are required to provide only a letter from your employer, salary paid and whether temporary or fulltime. And the required bank information as well.

So, some sites say yes send tax info anyway and some say it isnt needed. And that they werent even asked for this when they had their interveiw. So which is it? Is there a newer I-134 form that can be downloaded that states clearly yes to this area?

Thanks...david

Don't take any chances.
Have the 3 years tax returns or tax transcripts [better] in hand at the interview.
You will need them later at the AOS anyway.
Surprises me when peeps try and "cut corners". Many people have ended up on AR at USEM from not having tax info.
Not a good idea when you get put on AR and argue you read you didn't need them!

Oh, but Im not trying to cut corners, Im just trying to provide what they ask for in the I-134, just as I did in the I-129F form & G325A. Specifically they have requests under A,B,C,D in the Supporting Evidence Section. And I am not "Self Employed".

There is nothing that states otherwise on the uscis website, or in this form, downloaded from here in the USA at the uscis website. So what would a person filing do if he/she didnt have this forum to rely upon and others for info??

Exactly, follow the instructions on the forms that are provided with accurate information, based upon facts. Im not trying or would I try to cut corners, this is too important to me.

I understand your question !!

This is one of those exception things. While the current form I-134 speaks to the bank statement info and the employer info, and not a word about the 1040; the current [practice] is to have the last three years taxes available at the interview.

The practice has been, for the VIO’s to ask for one or more of the past year’s tax forms, even though there is no basis for this on the I-134, for an employed individual.

Moreover, while the taxes are not always asked for, I would not want to think about the consequence of not having them for her at the interview time.

Of the ones I know of who have had recent interviews and were asked for the tax return, most were asked only for the previous year’s return.

It is also my understanding, that if they ask for the tax return, they will not ask for the bank statement, usually only the employment verification letter. Remember, this will vary from Consulate or Embassy to another. I am basing my info on the practices at the US Consulate in Guangzhou, China.

Ok....well taken & well said. Thanks! I am referring to a K-1 visa application and this bothers me that they wouldnt be clear as to this as they should, especially if this IS required. We cant guess as to what to send, we onlly have what is printed and available.

Yea, the NVC assigns the case number for Manila. Claudeth can on a K-1 and I learned that there is a method to the case number. As example, MNL2007502001 Obviously MNL is for Manila and the 2007 is the year the case was assigned. The 502 is 500 plus the julian date so 502 would be January 2nd. The 001 would be the count of cases assigned to Manila on the 2nd of January. In this example it would be the first case for the 2nd. Other types of visas would just have a julian date without adding the 500 so it could be 2007002001.
