K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	k1 visa delays in Vermont Center	Hello, as Chadherm mentioned...I am one of the June filers waiting too. There are quite a few of us plus it seems to me there are also a lot of beginning July filers stuck with us. Don't know what happened with our cases. Try to contact your congressmen or senators. Sometimes they can have a pull but don't expect too much. Look at my comments in my timeline. We are trying anything. USCIS keeps telling us we have been assigned to an officer mid-November. Don't know what the he** is taking so long. I would think we are a straight forward case as we have no kids involved, were never married before, are not from high fraud countries, have blank records and I even had a J1 Visa before in 2001 for the US and have never been back there again since 2004 even though I could have used Visa waiver to just come in.... Whenever we have tried to talk to USCIS we have been contantly disappointed. They are so not willing to help. Went to two infopass appointments. Both wanted to always tell us that they are processing March 7 and everything else is a lie. One lady gave in and looked our file up and told us we were assigned to an officer and are not in AP. The next time my fiancé went there, another officer told him that they don't even have that info in their system. When he replied that this is strange since " last time they could give that info when he was there" the lady all of a suddenwas able to look up our file in the system. They are all a bunch of liars. The call center agents have just been trained to read info off of their webpage. Nothing else they can do. Oh yeah, they can file a service request on your behalf after 180 days of waiting. What it actually is though, is just the same information you'd get at an infopass appointment any time in a local USCIS office. So, if you really want to find out whether your case got hung up in security checks, I would try an infopass appointment. Other than that we can just sit back and wait until we lose more and more precious time with our loved ones. Good luck! This is very frustrating and it seems no one can help us at the Vermont Center until they are officially reviewing the June 26 2008 applications. This can mean anything from 1 day to 8 weeks! We were assigned Nov 13 I believe and got finally approved January 8!! To all you guys here that still remember Dan and me: We got approved today at the embassy with almost no question asked. Keep the faith!!! This seems really weird to me since you already received an RFE before. I would have assumed that you were already done with these checks. To all others here, keep up the hopes! We all know it is not easy. I (the beneficiary) felt like the US government is trying to invade my life. When filling out these numerous forms I always had and still have the impression I wasn't wanted in their country. It really gave me headaches. Oh well, I just wanna be with my SO. That's what we did and we are convinced it helped at the end. I hope they get their act together soon!! Estadia: what a joke this congressmen is. Just now out of processing time, huh??? Did you ask them specifically if they can tell you whether you are stuck in background/Security checks?? We did so and they looked up our file in their internal system and could tell us where it was and that we were not in security checks!! We don't know if he made the difference and we also had two senators check with USCIS!!!!!!!! We noticed the touch 3 hours earlier and haven't even got an email from USCIS. I cannot tell you how happy we are. Sitting here crying and drinking champagne. There is still no end on the road but we probably made the hardest part!!! And you will see, no pattern whatsoever. It's all BS about processing in order and such. 08- the year 187 - June 24 of their fiscal year xxxxx- your case number You will find all petitions from that day not just K1. If you search a while you will see when everyone else (k1) got approved. It's all #######. I got drunk on wine with Dan when I saw this. USCIS sucks. PGP: it is true that noone can really exercise power on USCIS. The only guys that can do something are those that give money to USCIS to function! One big part of this is US! But as we are so disorganized and widespread this seems hard to do and by now we just fail to bundle our voices. We as beneficiaries do not have any rights and therefore they don't care. When my fiancé asked something similar USCIS basically just told him "it's for national security". Yeah....I AM a big thread to national security... Stupid! They tell us we are not so far but honestly I start not believing that anymore as it just takes really looooong for NOA 2 to come. Yesterday someone entered their approval with the same NOA 1 date as mine so I am really hoping again that this will be us until the end of this month. But who knows! Stay strong, you guys! It will tell you if you have a hit and it was posted somewhere on VJ. However, I doubt they would give you that info if there was something substantially wrong. Maybe one of you just has the same (common) last name like a bad guy and this can put you off for weeks as the hit needs to be resolved. We asked about that 180 days thing too at the infopass. They told Dan that it doesn't mean anything. It 's just the border for the call center agents to put in a service request for your case. But you won't get any other answer besides "still processing", "waiting for security clearance" and such. I mean, it really doesn't speed things up and you can get this info any time at an infopass appointment without having to wait 60 days or more.	panterchen	Female	Germany	2008-12-29 13:31:00

Should I look for another job here? Should I try and set up our life here? But what if NOA 2 comes a few weeks later. Oh I hate this. However, skeez&Titanic, Chadherm....I know we are not the only ones still waiting past the 170 days. There a some more from early July. Yeah, when I look at your timeline I really lose faith in this entire system. It is unbelievable that there is nothing you can do. Have you tried to bring your case to the media? Have you tried to speak in person to a senator? I don't know what else we could do. I can imagine this long wait to really be hard on you. It would be for even the strongest relationships. If I would have know, I would have just gotten married 'spontaneously' over there and would just have created a bit reception for all of our friends and family a few months later. I am getting so mad when I hear stories about 1) people that file K1 and break up during the process esp. if their relationship was messed up already before, 2) illegal immigrants that stay in the US and even get SSN and government aid from the government I mean ####### (that's what a friend told me about her boyfriend) and 3) talking to friends that have chosen the illegal spontaneous wedding way (meaning nothing was spontaneous) that have had no trouble whatsoever and are now happily living ever after Skeez I hope this helps; our online status doesn't show any touch since June as well but form the infopass appointment we know we got touched at least twice since then and are in the hands of an officer. I am pretty sure our online case status just doesn't work like it was the case for most june filers from Vermont And I am also thinking everything happens for a reason. I get to spend more time with my family and friends, I have more time to sell my stuff and Dan and me get to enjoy a great New Years eve together at the Baltic sea. I know that after this journey I will never take this relationship for granted anymore. I would never walk away from him that easily since we had to fight so long to be together. I wouldn't give that up. And I am so looking forward to just never having to board a long distance flight without him anymore. This is what gives me ultimate peace of mind. The lady at infopass said usually it would take up to 6 weeks- depending if you are on top of the pile or at the bottom. I am almost certain we are at the bottom... Fortunately, they take it with humor as they know that it is not our fault since we had planned with sufficient time. They are already making jokes "We will have a wedding. If you are not there, we will find another bride for Dan!" Just type in on google "senator or congressman and the state of residence of the USC" and you should find him/her. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	6+ months waiting Club	Oana, we have the almost exact timeline just that we filed at VSC. 3 of the end of jun filers at VSC are still waiting. How many from CSC? I consider myself at athe 6 months mark up from next week. We contacted a congressman and two senators again asking them to inquire about our case up from next week on (we hit 180 days on sunday) . Man, this waiting sucks.
