GRAB BAG SHIPPING---VISA LOTTERY
why do our applications even get in the hands of Chinese customs it is none of their business about American documents. I under stand the warehouse thing but when the embassy does accept the shipments is no one there smart enough to take the oldest dated ones first. it seems to me everything the us government does has no order or
fairness about it it's like little school kids are running everything and they are not in class half the time.
some people wait for 1 year while others are granted in 2 or 3 months.

In any given shipment, it's likely all petitions cleared NVC the same day or within a day or two. They open the packages in the order received.

None of this answers my original question!

Is it true that Oct.08 NVC-2 approvals are only now hitting the DHL warehouses, where they are expected to wait 3 months or more??

Or is it true, as reported by so many on this website, that they have recieved P-3 ..and P-4 already...and in many cases interview dates, and even visa approvals already, even though their timelines shown indicate NVC-2 approvals later than those Oct.08 approvals?

Just want to know who to believe!...

If DHL tracking is accurate, then I can expect my Jan.09 approval to wait another minimum 6-8 months still on top of the original 2 months already since the NVC-2 approval.

ChinaGuangzhou interview times
I've read conflicting reports from USCIS.Gov sites that say only just now are Oct. NVC approvals are being recieved in Guangzhou. The outlook seems bleak. Yet on Visa Journey, I am reading statistics how numerous others from closer to my NVC-2 approvals are getting P-3's already, and in some cases, even P-4 interview dates.
On one hand I am gathering I can expect my Jan. 26 NVC-2 to be another 8 months or so....or according to other V/J members, I can expect any day now P-3 to the Fiance.
Please give your input..............Are this .gov sites really accurate?.....or are the timelines given here accurate.....it's very confusing! Mine is K-1 if this makes a difference.........Please help me get a better idea! Thanks in advance!

National Visa Center (Dept of State)what do the USCIS dates actually mean?
when I look at the graphs, for example: USCIS statistics show processing times of average 5-6 months. does this mean for both NOA1, and NOA2?...from start to the time they send it on to the Fiances embassy?
...If I filed and they recieved application in Oct. 2012...its going on 3 months now.....does the 5-6 months mean approval or disapproval for the fiest NOA?.....after 3 months still waiting, can I hope for the NOA2 to still be approved in the same 5-6 month window?

IMBRA Special Topicscalifornia rfe,,,got mine!!
Ok, I filed with California!

NOA1 reciept date: 05/03/06

IMBRA RFE received today! (06-29-06)

I actually used an addition sheet because there is no way to actually answer the second question if you had not been convicted of any of the listed crimes. I did this as my understanding is you MUST answer ALL questions.

Also I met my Olga through a website that, I guess, could be considered an "International Marriage Broker".

I checked yes and added the information about meeting on a website and included the name of the agency that runs the website.

Since I used the additional page, I added that I had not been convicted of any of the listed crimes (and listed them) and added for 3, n/a.

I just remember when filling out the I-129F, answer all questions, use None or N/A, so I just answered all 3 questions.

Stupid me though, I sent mine USPS ut forgot the confirmation

Also checked status, no change since 05-03-06, so I think the online status update is NOT a priority! ;)

Also no emails about said RFE.

I got the same thing today and crazy thing is they received my RFE at 11:39 this morning according to my receipt confirmation.

Crazy isn't it?? At least we know they are doing something...even if they are behind the times....

I wonder if the update didn't have something to do with them receiving the RFE as they should have received mine today... *still mumbling about the confirmation* :ranting:

IMBRA Special TopicsIMBRA Letter

Many of us here have received our IMBRA letter. Did that go out in bulk to EVERY applicant that has submitted apps since March 6th? OR (I am just trying to be optimistic) did they review the apps and hold them until the RFE was ready, then send out the letter on the ones that have in some way been preprocessed already?

I, personally hope they preprocessed them!

From the sound of the emails they did "preprocessing":

However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message.

Please note that I did not say "ALL"... but IMO if even 1 RFE went out for someone with a May date before a March date then it's one too many.

I agree with slim, I'd try horse given the opportunity, and Venison is good, had an chance to try that when I was younger!

I went to Russia expecting to try many new and different foods, I tried many interesting foods and liked all of them except Red caviar.

Borshch (beet soup) and pelmeni (meat dumplings) were amoung my favorites!

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusRe-visiting Russia

I'm wondering if a trip to the Russian Far East would be something worth spending money on or not. I'm sure I'll eventually go there to visit with Elena's mother and grandmother, but I think for the money that we'd have to spend to get there, we may as well go to Bora Bora or something like that. (Plus, there would be no "exit issues!")

I know this has been debated a million times on this site... Visit Russia, or go somewhere more exotic? Maybe it's time for a new poll!

I was very glad that I got to go see Olga's hometown and to meet her family! I will tell you that it was very expensive coming from Tucson ($1700 airfare, $170 Russian tourist visa (could have ONLY been $100 but I was nervous so I paid extra to have it done for me!), $1000 7 nights stay in the ???????? (Pyramid hotel), $1300 (32,600?) spending cash which was far more then I NEEDED but we did spend much more then we probably needed to. I actually took Roubles when I left the USA, I felt it would be easiest that way, no waiting to change my USD.

Note: I left 6,000? with Olga for document translation and other assorted expenses involving the visa process.

now that I think about there is 1 thing I wish I had of purchased, one of those nice Russian fur hats! I did buy some nice fur lined boots there as I ran out of time here before the trip to buy them!

As a side note I tried to find a nice warm winter jacket in TUCSON, ARIZONA in February! I couldn't but I could buy a swimsuit!

IMBRA Special TopicsTo those of you griping about IMBRA
I know a lot of you have had ridiculously long waits and delays because of IMBRA, and I have a short story for you:

I know a person through a business associate, (he is NOT my friend, in fact I loath his behavior), who has been abusing the I-129f petition for years. He has brought several women to the USA for the 90 day period, used them, and sent them away packing before the 90 days was up. He brags about all the women he's 'had' from all over the world.

I can most certainly sympathize with those of you who have had to wait so long, and I also think it must be he|| to have to see people who applied AFTER you getting approvals BEFORE you, (I'd be pis**d as he|| to!). The USCIS should be focusing in the older cases before working on the newer ones.

At the same time, I am extremely happy that what this SOB has been doing will no longer be permitted. At the very least, if he is ever permitted to bring anyone else here again, they are going to be informed how many he's done this to in the past, if i understand the new law correctly.

CaribbeanInterview date is set! Now Medical exam and preparing for interview

My previous experience with the interview process was just a few years ago in China.

I don't think anything has changed since then, but someone can correct me if i am wrong.

The medical is not much more than getting some vaccinations and a brief examination. When we went through this before the medical was an easy pass, and documented for the actual interview the next day...so I don't think you need to worry.

USCIS Service CentersWhy CSC doesnt keep doing Dec with august to nov?
ITS NOT SELFISH TO WANT TO SEE "ONES' PETITION APPROVED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE..BUT MAYBE SAYING IT 'OUTLOUD' SO TO SPEAK, AND KNOWING THAT THERE IS SOME INJUSTICE FOR SO MANY OTHERS WAITING IN LINE, IS KIND OF LIKE BELIEVING TAKING 'CUTS IN A LINE' AND JUSTIFYING IT JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO GET WHERE YOU ARE GOING FASTER.
i DON'T BLAME YOU, AND NEITHER WOULD ANYONE ELSE HERE...BUT IT KIND OF IRRITATES SOME PEOPLE WHEN SOMEONE WANTS SOMETHING 'WHEN THEY WANT IT' NO MATTER IF IT AFFECTS OTHERS WRONGLY.

I BELIEVE 'FIRST IN LINE' DESERVES ALL THE ATTENTION, NO MATTER WHAT THE SITUATION...OTHERWISE GOING AHEAD OF OTHERS BEFORE YOU IS NO BETTER THAN JUSTIFYING THOSE DACA APPLICATIONS.

HERE'S HOPING YOU GET YOUR QUICK APPROVALS..BUT HOPING OTHERS BEFORE YOU GET THEIRS FIRST!...THE WAY IT OUGHT TO BE!

And I always wondered, what if my fiancee was from Netherlands and legally smokes marijuana? Are fiancees banned from the USA if the do something in another country, which is legal in THAT country but illegal in the USA?

Marijuana is not legal in the Netherlands, rather it's been decriminalised, meaning that the punishment for possession is minor and generally not even enforced.

My heart goes out to Adam and his fiancee for these unanticipated challenges, however I still believe telling the truth is best. I think Adam has a great attitude about the situation and the couple shall be together soon, one way or another. All the best.

All Of you folks are consideralably empathetic to a stranger situation....I am amazed at the support, and condolences...and well wishers each of you have exhibited!

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Visa delays costing US tons of money?
What does it cost for You to make an extra trip to visit your Sweetheart with the added wait times?

What do these "bozo's in control of things think We are doing for an additional 4-5-6 month wait?......do they think We are just sitting at home waiting?
Do they think we are like slaughter cows penned up waiting for our turn whenever "they decide to take us?

Do these fools realize "I".."YOU"..."WE", are not just idley sitting by while our loved ones are so far away from us....
An extra visit alone to another country to visit my Sweetheart costs a minimum 3-4 $thousand dollars. Add my lost wages at home here, and I am losing another 3-4 thousand in income.
An extra 2nd visit costs likely the same.
COME ON!!!.......I love My Soulmate, being with her is precious, and endearing....but this doesn't just take a bite out of My pocket..also means less money into this economy here!
