Look at it this way, your're on a journey, and as long as you keep putting one foot in front of the other, you will eventually get to your destination. If you start getting all negative and frustrtated it can even effect your relationship. Plan on a long journey, and then be surprised if you get there sooner than expected. I met my fiance last October and filed for divorce in March, and filed my I-129F, (initial petition), in July. I really don't think it matters, but I explained in my 'statement of intent to marry' that my ex and I had not lived together and had been seperated for 8 years. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Question about RFE's	TucsonBill, Very difficult to call CSC. Even if you get through, the knucklehead on the other end will not know the reason for the RFE. Just wait for the paper in the mail. By the way, here is the William33 party line on RFE's: When you send the RFE evidence back, send it USPS Express ($14 and change). On the front and back of the USPS provided document Envelope, write the following: ATTN:RFE in red marker. This is the information on the RFE envelope supplied by CSC. You may want to write your case number on the envelope, as well. It will then move through CSC very fast! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Question about RFE's	When I received email notification of my NOA1, I received the NOA1 2 days later. 2 days is about normal from California to Arizona. Can anyone tell me if they looked at the postmark on their RFE and compared it to the date they received it? The main reason I am concerned is that we have a new mailman in the neighborhood who has been known to get the mail mixed up leaving mail in the wrong box. I am considering having the post office hold my mail and personally pick it up. I guess my real question is, when others have received a notice that their RFE was mailed, was it mailed on the date of the email notification or was it actually mailed some time later? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Something Concrete, Finally	Well, I was happy I got an RFE! Of course an NOA2 would have been better, but an RFE is certainly better than nothing! Based on the date you filed, you should have been expecting and hoping for an RFE and you should be jumping for joy now that you finally are getting it! Maybe you should just explain to your fiance that this was something you had to receive before they could approve your application. USCIS did not start using the new forms that had the IMBRA language included util sometime in July. I expect there will be more delays, and that way I'm not surprised when I encounter them. Are we supposed to be completely blase and unemotional on this journey?! I'd say you have waited long enough to feel any emotion you want at this point! I know I speak for everyone here when I say I hope the next "emotion" is one of joy for finally receiving that NOA2! Most of the people griping when you whine, or try to put a damper on your hopes, are the tripple plantum members that are already married and in the process of AOS or bringing over family members. A while back after getting criticized for my whishing my appliation would move faster, just for the heck of it, I went back and read and reposted some of the 'platnum members' posts from when he was at my stage of the game. His continual whining and crying at the time made what I nad to say seem very mild lol! He got upset when I did that, but hey - sometimes these 'old timers' forget what it was like to be us. If you dont get approval after your second touch, about a week or so later is when you get the notice of the RFE... It seems like the processing times have really started picking up now that the majority of the cases that were delayed by IMBRA have been processed. Good Luck! Just for the heck of it, I logged in and it says last touched on 10-1. Anyone else get touches while waiting for thier RFE to come? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	A Tricky Question... I need some 'exert' advice	I am so glad someone brought up this question but I am sorry to hear of the RFE. I met my finace on www.flirtbox.com but we ended up using MSN messenger. I have no proof of the website but I am assuming it is safe to say that we met on MSN messenger? Good luck TucsonBill! If I had it to do over again, just to be on the safe side, I would have answered yes to the IMBRA question, and put the explanation that I was not sure on a continuation sheet. Considering that we had both signed up on this site for free, and that neithier one of us put or real names on that site, and that we did not actually meet there, I put what I beleive to be the correct answer wich is 'no'. As an isnurance agent for 21 years, I know a bit about law and misrepresentation, and in order for there to be misrepresentation there has to be motive and intent - and in my case there was no motove or intent to answer the question incorrectly, I put the answer that I thought was the correct answer at the time. Again, after visiting here, and knowing what I know now, I would have said 'yes' with a continuation sheet, and then I might not have not gotten the RFE, (actually I probably still would have for my credit card and bank statements form the time I was in Thailand but not for more detials on how we met).
