K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-130 Approval - March Filer

Go for CR1 because when the immigrant spouse arrives in the US he/she will receive the greencard in a few days, will be able to work right away, get the driver's license and stuff.

On the other hand, the k3 will demand you to keep stressing out about papers... The person will need to adjust your status once he/she enters the US. Wait a few more months for the greencard. He/she won't be able to work until he/she gets the work permit.... This may take up to 4 monts in some cases. The greencard itself may take even more time than that.

If I were you I would do what most people here seems to be doing: setting up the interview date for k3 for about 50 days later, so you have time to finish the NVC process for your CR1. When your CR1 papers arrive at the consulate you ask them to change the k3 interview for the CR1.

Read the guides and the Wiki here at VJ. They explain step by step how to get the CR1 in a faster way.
Good Luck!

Monica

I'm sorry, you're a CSC transferee...you don't count LOOOOL Just kidding!

Congratulations! Hope you find the rest of the journey fast and easy! Let us know! If you need help, look at Ling-Che's shortcut through NVC. It lists all the steps and everything you need to do.

Best of luck!

HI,

Dose the ling-che short cut applies to k3 applicants also. Thanks for your help. good.gif

No, it's for streamlining the NVC process for CR-1/IR-1. For K-3 the petition is barely there, they just forward it to the consulate.

I need to explain myself better, I applied for I-130 and I-129 both got approved on the same day. Should I still go with k3 or is the CR-1/IR-1 better. Plese I don't know and need help. I don't know the diffrence between k3 and CR-1. Thank you for your help helpsmilie.gif .

I need to explain myself better, I allpied for I-130, and I-129, both got approved on the same day, what is the next best step for me k3 or

The DS-3032 only applies if you're pursuing a CR-1 visa, not to a K-3 visa.

DS-3032 form is sent by the NVC to the beneficiary to ask them whom they would like the NVC to send correspondence and bills to. In this form, the beneficiary can designate another person as their agent, the person who they would like to receive all NVC bills and correspondence. If you are the petitioner in the USA, it is preferable that all communication go to you instead of the person you're applying for in another country. So all the beneficiary needs to do is fill out the form with their information, provide the address of the petitioner, and sign it.

The beneficiary should send the signed form to you, and then you should forward it to the NVC. The NVC will not generate the bill for the Immigrant Visa package until they receive the DS-3032.

If you have a lawyer already on your case, they are by default your agent so a DS-3032 does not apply. The DS-3032 only applies if you do not have a lawyer.

Check you Linche's short cuts to help further explain this.

DS-3032 also does not apply for K-3 visa because the I-129F is being sent to the Consulate directly, and they will be sending correspondence to the beneficiary as they're in the same country and it's not preferable to be sending things to the person in the US.

I hope this helps!

I was wanting to know the same think????
