IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresExpedite Request Help??!

So I filed an I130 petition for my husband PD June 7 2013

Our daughter was born August 30

I was wondering if I could request an expedite for financial hardship?

I am not working, I HAVE looked for a job but everywhere I go wants a full time employee

I dont have anyone to leave her with and daycares require the child to be 1 year old

So basically I cant work until she is one or find a job that doesnt require me to work full time

but that is just rough here where I live it seems like there are no jobs anywhere

My husband had a job until September and was laid off so he cant help

He has been looking for a job but that situation in Guatemala is more difficult than here

My dad has talked to his manager and said he'll give him a job as soon as he is here

I need to provide for our daughter and its just so hard here alone without any financial support

and emotional stress. My baby was actually born early due to the emotional stress I had of him not being here

I dont know if this would be approved what do u guys think?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresRFE Questions !!

I filed in early June &  I received rfe mail with options to provide proof of a bonifide marriage.

I have no property or anything under both our names,

only a birth certificate of our daughter who was born in late August

and pictures when I went for a visit in April.

Do I have to provide the original birth certificate or will a copy do?

Would this be enough evidence?

Mexico, Latin & South Americamedical exam in Juarez for minor children and police certificates
I just made my appointment for Dec 23rd which is a Monday and I was wondering if anyone knew what day I had to get my fiancee's two children ages 2 and three to the medical appointment? I am driving from Mexicali to CDJ and I was wondering if I had to get there the Monday before or the Tuesday or if Saturday is considered a work day and I can get there Wednesday?

Also the embassy letter and previous posts state that with the new DS-160 they are also requesting police certificates? Can you still get those even in a small town like Sonoyta which only has 32000 people?

Any help would be great. I am excited but very scared about driving 16 hours to CDJ all before christmas.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaConsular Interview Appointment letter
The invitation letter gets you into the medical appointment which you have to do at least a day before your interview. The medical costs 190$. You will need the proof that you completed DS 160 for the ASC appointment. They will put a sticker on your DS160 to show that you completed ASC appointment. I needed 2 Passport sized photos, a copy of my last 2012 taxes, an original 134 Affidavit of support, an original Mexican birth certificate and obviously the passport. They asked her 4 questions. How long had she known me, did she have any tattoos, did she ever have any problems with the police, and when was the last time she was in USA. When you first get in the Embassy after the security check which they won't allow you the US citizen in they open the sealed medical paperwork which you brought which is sealed in black plastic. The person goes over it and then you go to the next station when they took the I 134 the DS160 and the tax return. They then sent her to the ASC center where she waited 20 minutes and they confirmed they had all the correct information. She then went back and was at another window and that's when they asked her to raise her hand and state she was going to tell the truth. The lady was African American and asked in Spanish if she wanted to speak Spanish or english. If he can have him do it in English she did and she thinks it went easier. They never asked for any proof of relationship or pictures or police certificate or check stubs or phone records, hotel receipts or any of that. The lady let her know it was approved and gave her a green slip of paper on how to get the DHL way bill number to track the visa. She was approved on the 23rd but as of today 11 days letter there is no way bill number yet I think because of the holiday. The embassy was 3 hours, her appointment was at 730 am, medical 2 hours, and the ASC appointment was about an hour.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaConsular Interview Appointment letter
I just had my appointment on December 23rd. I never received the invitation letter and neither did my fiancee in mexico. Just go to the window at the Juarez embassy to get the letter before you get your medical and ASC appointment. I got the letter in about 2 minutes. The line at the window is very short and either you or your fiancee can get the letter with your Jan 15 appointment confirmation printout.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaAmericans travelling to juarez
Do not worry. I drove from Mexicali to Juarez about 1000 miles on the Mexico side a few weeks ago. I am very gringo being pasty with Blue eyes and everywhere I go I am always called - Hey Guerro. I stayed at the Micro tel Hotel which was perfect. The front desk guys all spoke english. They is a Dennys and a Wendys in the Parking Lot. There is a Starbucks and a big mall with a movie theater right across the street. The embassy is 100 yards away. The medical offices are 75 yards away. I tried ordering in my bad Spanish at both the Wendys and Starbucks and both times I was cut off in the first sentence with an English reply of what can I get for you. Because Juarez is so close to the border speaking Spanish would not be a problem for you. I drove a car with California plates all over Juarez or at least around the embassy and I didn't see anything. I asked the front desk as to where all the Americans are and he says because of all the bad news they do not come anymore. I never saw one white guy the whole 8 days I was in Juarez and probably spoke to 15 people in English.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaAnyone had interview for K1/K2 at CDJ in December?
Update: the website said out for processing on Thursday 1/17 but it didn't actually leave CDJ till 1/20 but the good news is it only took one day but it flew to central mexico before making it to Mexicali by 2:30 on the 22nd. The DHL Office is 100 yards from the east gate of the border and I was crossing by 3pm. I had a k1, 2K2s and two chihuahuas which the border agent said had K9 visas. Mission accomplished 28 days after interview at CDJ. Make sure that when you get waybill number you register on DHL website for Internet and text updates to let you know when packages arrive. Make sure your fiancee has a picture ID too the website only says birth certs but DHL Office said I'D too. My fiancee had none so we got a Mexican Sams club card. THANK YOU WALMART!

Oh the visa is being sent from Juarez to Mexicali but it still took from 12/23 to 1/16 to get to the DHL in Juarez. So I would plan on plan B if you are considering waiting for it at Juarez.

Ok I got the tracking number on the 16th at 1722. But it will take 2 to 3 days for them to deliver it I am told. It appears the first date updated on the CEAC website is the day of the interview. The second date 1/2 was the date it passed final review. The third date 1/14 was the date it went to have visa issued and last date of 1/16 is the date it went to DHL to be mailed out. Yes all the other posters will tell you it only took 3 to 10 days to get theirs. I believe this was before the DS 160 electronic form was introduced. I was told that CDJ is the busiest embassy in the world and that with the implementation of the DS160s the K1 Visa is lumped in with all the other visas and I can tell you from experience that K1s are outnumbered 200 to 500 to one. At the medical appointment we we the only K1 for the day and there were at least 200 other types of visas there to get medical. It took us 23 days with the holidays as well to go from approved to issued. I don't know if anyone else is having the same wait or not. Ya me voy a mexico mañana para mi amor.

My fiancee was approved a CDJ on 12/23. Every other person states it should only take 10 days to get the visa. CEAC website says that it was "issued" with updated date of 1/14. Ok still no DHL waybill number. I call 703-439-2313 and they state it was issued on 1/14 and they send email to embassy in CDJ to follow up. Check CEAC website again and it says updated 1/16? Was it updated because of my call? Does it usually take a month to receive now with computerized DS160 form? Is it because CDJ is so busy. Anyone else take longer than 10 days to receive?

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionInterview was on 12/23 CDJ how long to receive visa.
My fiancee had her interview in Juarez Mexico on 12/23/13. I check the website daily and no DHL tracking number. How long does it take to send visa when it's approved and how long does it take for DHL to deliver from Juarez to Mexicali? Is DHL like next day air in Mexico or more like ground UPS in 5-10 days.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionInterview was on 12/23 at Juarez Embassy - CEAC website has ready status 1/2??
Fiancee was interviewed on 12/23 at Ciudad Juarez Mexico Consulate Office. Still haven't received DHL waybill number. CEAC website has case created date of 12/23 and updated date of 1/2. Called embassy in Juarez and the automated recording says to call 703-439-2310. I called this number and it is not in service in both the US and mexico. Who do I call to see where the problem is and at what number? Do I call the department of state?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsAPPROVED INTERVIEW REFUSED VISA ON CEAC WEBSITE
My fiancee had her interview on 12-23 as well but at Ciudad Juarez in Mexico. The CEAC website shows last update on 1/2 but still says "ready?" I called the embassy and they referred me to a 703-439-2313 number. Make sure you use option for immigrant visa. I have no idea who I was calling but they sent an update request to the embassy and said to call back in 3-4 days. I was going to stay and wait for the visa but it was Juarez Mexico and I would be there 3 weeks by now. What website are you checking that told you that you were denied and then issued? I would like to know for my case. And does anybody know where the visas are actually sent from? The embassy? The DOS? The NVC?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureswill CDJ mail K1 visas to US citizen petitioner in US
Does anyone know if the embassy will send the approved K1 visas to the to me in the US so that I can bring them to her. My fiance is in a small town and the nearest DHL Office is a 6 hour bus ride to Mexicali. Her interview is at the US Embassy at Juarez. When I scheduled interview the only options to choose what DHL Office to send it to were in Mexico. My work is 1/2 mile from the DHL Office in Los Angeles. The instructions from the embassy states to bring the address to mail approved visas to but can that be to a DHL Office near me? Anyone?

Good!!!

Gosh, such a confusing and worrisome statement they use.
Why can't they make them more user friendly.

Seems they want to be ####### to intimidate u though the process. I just finished the interview and it was nothing like I expected. They talk to you like a police officer that just pulled you over for speeding..

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFrustrated with the wait....
Submitted 9/14/12 to California Processing Center
Received Packet 9/20/12
Decision ?

It is now past 5 1/2 month mark and still no answer. I tried calling multiple times but the only feedback from the Customer Service Agent is just 'wait'. According to the Agent, processing times shows that they are still working on the file from 7/18/12. That date has not changed for a long time. I am just getting very frustrated with the delay and the lack of attention.

Anyone here suffering from the same consequences? It seems like many were approved earlier than 5 months reading from the posts. We are just getting very anxious.
