Heh, I watched this last night..I found it extremely funny that almost every time Katherine said Canada or anything to do with it she'd shudder as if to say "It's Canada so it has to be cold!"

I'm not gonna lie...I can't wait for Mike and Susan to get back together!!!

I find that sometimes with poutine if the cheesecurds are too cold they don't melt enough for me. I like using shredded cheese for that reason, or I warm my cheesecurds a little bit before I put them on my fries. At a lot of fast food places in Canada, you could ask them to warm up your curds first! That was the BEST!

The New York fries Poutine, I always ask for it in a take out container and put the lid on it and let it steam up and melt for a few minutes (covering up the hole of course) Melted the cheese and it was Golden!

I went into a spice store today and asked them if they had dutch spice or spekulaas spice and the woman looked at me as if I had no idea what I was talking about and that she had never even heard of it. So I returned the glance tongue.gif AND this was a specialty spice store (Penzey's) I just got all the individuals.

Man I totally forgot about All dressed chips! I knew you cant get ketchup chips here, but forgot about the all dressed. I want some.

Tonight we went to one of the neighbourhood pubs for dinner at about 7 and being a sports bar, we caught a hockey game on one of the screens... Toronto @ Pittsburgh! We ended up staying for the whole game and having a pub night. It was great! I had a Grilled Turkey Club with a salad, and Buddy had a Burger along with some great Beers. The bar we were at has a Beer tour where they have a list of 100 different beers and you have to get through them all before the end of the year, so we were kind of playing catch up for him.

And to top off the night, the leafs won, 7-3!!! Goooooo Leafs! Of the 20 flat screens in,AND all the others being on football, we made sure ours was left on that channel and we were the only ones watching, but it was awesome!

Whatever we have for dinner, I hope the coffee and two cups of tea I've had this morning are gone by then :s

I havent been able to eat all day so Im going to feast for dinner. We went to Ruby Tuesdays for lunch, and I loaded up a salad and got the broc & cheese soup but couldn't finish it. Not for a lack of trying tho. Buddy went to Marc's to grab a few things, so maybe hell have picked out dinner also. After we make the Pepernotens we'll think of dinner.

(anything but peas)

Actually I can relate xtinab, to what you were saying about peas in other foods.

As you know of course, they generally put it in fried rice (in Canada anyway, haven't seen that here) - and I always have to eat around the peas as well.

The only peas I like are fresh peas.

Is it wierd that I loooooove snow peas, and can snack on them all day long, yet when it comes to cooked peas, I cant stand em? And I've always wondered about those Snapeas. They look just like snow peas, yet, when eaten, they little peas are sucked out of the shell and the shell discarded (kind of like edamame). Are they the same? or different? Why dont they just eat the shell, like snow peas?

Confusing, I say

Last night we went to BB's parents but missed dinner so we had left over pizza from Donatos smile.gif

One thing I miss from TO is getting Oxtail and rice and peas from Raps or Spence's on Eglinton. Man I love Oxtail...the meat just falls right off. Its so good. I found one place here that has it but aparently its in a shady part of town. But really, for that type of food, its probably best in those parts! If anybody knows Toronto, Eglinton West wasn't the best of places, but I was used to it. I want to go. I will one day.
