OMG Hubby is singing a song...of course I can't recognize it from his version. I just asked him who sings hit. He said either Gladys Night or Mariah Carey. I am like wow that is a big difference in people... I am cracking up.

Dillon that is too funny.

rofl.gif my husb "thinks" he knows the words to every song. he puts on the ipod and sings sometimes and i'm like #######??? he thought the stanky leg was the spanky layup..

He was singing Billie Jean as well and not one word was Billie or Jean.

I am rolling...Jonesie asked me what was so funny...so I told her what you all were talking about...she started laughing and said her husband is the same way. She said on his 1st Christmas here, the song Feliz Navidad came on and he was singing to the top of his lungs "Police nyam mi dawg"...[/b]she said the whole family stopped and looked at him...then they all burst out laughing when they found out what "nyam" meant.

LMAO!!!!! I needed this laugh today....oh boy did I ever need it. rofl.gif rofl.gif rofl.gif

Oh boy..I just got a call from an old co-worker that is now a Senior manager and he wants me to join his firm...and offer a 15k sign on and 10k raise. Here's the issue....I don't want to go back to the client he wants or needs me for. They want to win a bid and want me (of many others) on the team to win. Let me mention that I have already left a job for the same reasons..and it didn't work. I followed the money and it just was not my place.

I'm "comfortable" at this job. It's like I don't want to take another "risk".

Pros - Money, closer...real close to my home, great career opportunity
Cons - The team..um..will have me doing all the work cause they don't know what the hell they are doing, the team..can't trust them for nothing, I'll be working on a client that I feel like there is nothing else to learn. It's you agency Quana.

So the question is: Should I take the risk for the $$$ or just stay put where I'm comfortable?

Now I gotta get back to my work before they start asking me if I'm done yet.

aww.. kk?? are we that bad LOL.. well i am not the best person to ask, cuz altho i am very money hungry.. i cant bother w/ stress.. id rather be somewhere where i feel happy.. just my 2 cents.. now if u don't mind doing all the work..thats different..i had a job, where i was pretty much carrying my coworkers, but i soooo enjoyed what i did, it didn't matter, it wasn't stress to me..
if u forsee problems w/ ur team then mabye that will only be temporary??

WOW JG! I didn't want to pry but I knew something had happened. I'm glad you are happier for it though....just another one of life's lessons that makes us stronger & wiser in the end. Thanks for sharing your story. I'd probably have blown my top in your situation too. He was taking advantage of your kindness, love & generosity & I don't blame you for the stance you took. Although I'm only making assumptions here, it seems to me like even this has not left you jaded (or not more than you already were...LOL) so that's a really great thing. You have the wisdom to know this is just the end of one chapter & it's time for a new & brighter one.

Ells, I am not jaded. I personally will NEVER have another relationship with a Jamaican. That is the part I am truly jaded about. He ruined me from LDR's and Jamaican men, in general..but not from my outlook on either of those with anyone else. I wish all of you the very best and those who came before and after you. I will advise and help if I can.

If you can't tell, I have not bashed the last year and a half or so even though I was going through all of it. My comments usually have to do with what I have experienced and of the experiences of those I know. I will warn sometimes. But, I am truly not a basher like that. I believe every situation is different and so is everyone. It's only when I see glaring similarities that I reach out and say be careful.

Totally understand, but do u think his actions were because he's a Jamaican man? I love my Jamaican men everybody know dat..and I would have never date another yes i said NEVER! what made u decide never another Jamaican man, is what i'm trying to ask?

For me I also LOVE my Jamaican men...but if (knock on wood) if my hubby and I split I will never have a LDR never. Its too emotional. I just realized. July 31 will be two yrs sice hei s in Canada kicking.gif

1luv.. no passa passa my girl.. my opinion and i am not judging or give a pass to nobody to do what i do, cuz we all got face judgement on our own..

i think its a individual thing.. but overall i see it as being okay.. in MY opinion its how the activity causes u to act.. if the secular activity causes u to do things u feel are unpleasing to GOD, then by all means stay away.

if u can't go to the club w/out getting sloppy drunk and jumping somebody's bones afterwards then maybe u better stay home.. if u can't listen to some music w/out thinking of that jump off and having a booty call then u might need to just listen to christian music LOL

of course most churches are against clubbing, but i think its becuz of the atmosphere that most clubs have.. never mind that intention of the individual has thats going, just for clean fun.. if there was spot that played contemporary christian music and gospel rap.. i would hit that place up but then just like all the singles ministries activities getting bashed these days, ppl would say its compromising and such.. im sorry i don't think Jesus was as stoosh as some make it seem.. i will teach my kids to honor God in all that they do and everywhere they go..

I agree with u. But some ppl think they are just too holy. My gf got baptised in July. and the month b4 that we were playing I feel good by Beres and she was rocking away to the music.. now fast fo word after the baptism, the same song and others were playing and she did not even move an inch. I am like WOW ohmy.gif . She says now that I am a christian I cant listen to these type of music anymore ohmy.gif I think that is a bit extreme! If it was vybez, movado, assasin Djing abt slackness then I understand but Beres and other lover rock artists?? ohmy.gif WOW

i like saying it!!!

what do ur child/children call ur SO, what will his kids call u??
we talked about this when we first got serious and we both agreed we didn't want anything too formal so we agreed the first name would be fine.. the judge that officiated our ceremony talked w/ us at length b4 marrying us and that was one of the topics.. he said that the children if they are not callling him daddy YET (he insisted they would eventually, which ive seen kids do, but i don't think mine will)
then they should call him mr roger or mr g.. he says it is respectful and i woudn't want mykids to call me myfirst name.. HECK NO!!!

i enjoyed the judge's talk, but we still have them call him roger, i could be mama quana? but that still sound silly.. we just like the informal way. i think he get respect from his actions not his name blush.gif ???
my daughter calls him by his first name. and my SD calls me mommy. Her mother was NOT in her life so I am mom to her.

My sister has been doing the flat belly diet - One of the things is you have to drink something called Sassy Water - she said it's definitely acting as a diuretic and helping - here's the recipe -

Sassy Water
2 liters water (about 8 ? cups)
1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
1 medium cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
1 medium lemon, thinly sliced
12 small spearmint leaves.

Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and let flavors blend overnight. Drink the entire pitcher by the end of each day.

My friend that was with me in Jamaica when I met my husband, loves to tell the story on how I met my husband...and her role in it..I mean everyone she meets must know my story. Then I have other friends that thinks my story is a real live fairy tale...like a Stella. Athough, the story doesn't have many similarities.

Are you ever called the Stella by your friends?

Yup they used to call me that all the time.

LOL @ Dada! Who remembers the phone sex days! I used to love them. But nothing beats the real ting devil.gif

While we're on the topic of sex, something just came to mind that hubby & I were discussing last night after I got home from school. He was feeling frisky & all I wanted to do was brush my teeth, start reading my book for class that we have to have 3 chapters read by next week & then go to bed. He asked when was the last time so I thought about it & said that it had been one week to the day exactly. (We had a busy weekend & too tired when we got home from everything.) He kept trying to work his charms until I finally said 'lef me!'. He asked what about tomorrow night & I said probably not because class goes even later & I'll be home even later & tired when I get home. So I said, "let's make a date for Friday night" & he tells me "no" & that it should just happen instead of us planning it. I told him that MANY people have to plan it due to busy schedules. So, how many of you have had to plan rendezvous??

Ells...having been married and divorced...my suggestion is to ALWAYS make time for it, even if it's just a quickie. Your relationship (especially now because it's new) needs it to stay strong...no matter how tired you are.

Love these especially in the early morning kicking.gif

I want to chime in....

Hubby and I had fights about this issue (nothing Physical) He would touch me I would box off his hand, tell him I am tired, leave me alone etc...this cause him to be so miserable and irritated. Now even if I am tired I still give him. He on the other hand is a engerzier bunny would do it every nite devil.gif.
