K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWhat's the process to register your marriage.
There is no need to report your marriage to the US Embassy in your country.
The legal marriage in your country is also legal in the US.
All you need to do is get an original marriage certificate from the authority in your country, translate it in English (no need for professional translation), and have the translated one notarized at the embassy. I am not sure about Morocco, but it cost $30 for notarization.
The set of the original one and notarized translated copy serves as your official marriage certificate in the US.

I used my notarized copy to prove marriage in the US for SSN, bank account, etc.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionIndonesian Police Certificate translation needed?
As long as I know, all non-English documents need to be translated into English but notarization for the PC is not necessary.
However, I am not 100% sure about this. Let's see what others say.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionMedical Exam.
Hi Akiko,

I had my medical done at the Tokyo British Clinic about a month ago.
The procedures were quite simple. They were;
- Chest X-ray
- Blood test
- Inquiry of medical history, smoking and drinking habit, etc
- Skin check (?) by a male doctor

Warning: You are allowed to wear only underwear (a bra and a panty specifically) for the skin check.

There isn't nothing to worry for the checkup itself. It was easy and quick.
It took less than 30 minutes for me. I am pretty sure you'll be fine.
Good luck good.gif

Look at the embassy website.
If they have step-by-step info for the K-1 process, she can do somepaper work before she receives the packet.

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionspouse visa
It depends on the mail system in your country.
As for Japan, the embassy printed my visa a day after my interview and I got it the next day.

US Embassy and Consulate Discussioncan children attend the interview??
It depends on each consulate, but they generally let you bring kids with you.
Check the consulate review. There might be a review of someone who brought kids to the interview.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionDS 230 Question -- Are two required?
I think you are confused with forms. You need just one set of DS230 for your fiancee. Biographic information is G325A that you need for both the petitioner and beneficiary.

I don't see any problem as long as your immigrant visa is activated as a temporary I-551 when you first enter the US.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionTokyo Interview on Aug 31st, no response..
QUOTE (Lauraandfrogger @ Sep 8 2009, 01:20 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
My fiance interviewed today and he was told that they can't tell us whether or not his visa was approved until they 'check in the computer' and that they think it should be okay and will mail his passport back within a week. Somehow I can foresee myself e-mailing the Tokyo embassy a week from now and getting a response similar to the one that you got...

My interviewer said exactly same thing to me. It sounded their system is sometimes goofy so your visa cannot be approved right away.
Luckily mine was approved a minute later, but I imagine issuance of visa can be delayed because of the technical problems.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionURGENT Birth Certificate question
I found this on the US embassy Tokyo website.
Although it is taken from the I-130 petition (DCF) check list, I think it is better that you collect as many evidence as possible.

"For any birth certificate registered more than 6 months after the date of birth, please provide a written statement explaining why the birth was registered late and two alternate forms of original, secondary evidence of identity. Secondary evidence of identity normally means original documents dating from the time of your birth and childhood, such as prenatal records, doctor's notes and baby book, baptismal certificates issued on the date the baptism took place, school records/report cards registered or signed by the parents, or pieces of government-issued identification (SS card, driver's license, etc.)."
