IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsOctober 2013 I-130 Filers

Is it me, or were there hardly any transfers tonight?

I hope our case will be transferred tonight. If not, I have regretted to send my I-130 in the beginning of Oct...

Hi, Im from Japan n my NOA1 date is Oct7!
Have read all the comments here n glad to know there are some people who got transferred!
Congratulations:)

I have checked my status everyday this week but haven't got anything yet.

My husband is already in LA n I hope ourcase will be transferred to California center.

I hope all the Oct members will get transferred in March!

I've been to the US twice while applying I-130 already. Will visit again next month. I do hope to get NOA2 soon so that we dont have to spend extra money for the air tickets anymore. I do hate this immigration visa process.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNVC Filers - October 2014

Just when I thought it couldnt get worse

I got an RFE for 1864 at the same time I was able to pay for my IV package. I sent them at the same time in August and the 19th of this month is my 60 days. I just got an email today and I was so excited I thought it was going to be a case complete, but no it was another RFE for the 1864 again! Another one  Which means another 60 days  I was at work when I got it, and thank God my mom is my boss! I went and cried for maybe an hour! It means my husband will not be with me for the holidays! I am a complete mess and when I called them they told me its, because on a section there should have been a 1 to count myself for my household! BUT THE COMPUTER PUT IT THERE AUTOMATICALLY! Apparently it didnt print that way and she even told me my total number was correct

I am so depressed! I was counting on an arrival in early december and now it looks like February!

I wish they could use my original and attach it to my new one, between the two of them they are correct

Did this happen to anyone and it take less than 60 days for the RFE to go through?

Omg..I feel so sorry... I knew you from Oct 2013 filers board from last year. We submitted I-130 very close.
I thought people could bring the correct I-864 form to the interview if they received second AOS checklists. But no?? I do hope you will get cc soon..

Thank you so so so so so much!
My husband could understand and he sent it out today.
The amount he inputted was not right.
You helped us a lot. Thank you soooo much!

Part 18 is where your husband reports what he thinks he will earn THIS YEAR.

Part 19 you must report income from your 2013 Tax Return

If your husband filed form 1040 use line 22, Total Income
If your husband filed form 1040A use line 15, Total Income
If your husband filed form 1040EZ use line 4, Adjust Gross Income

Hi all, it's my seventh NVC month..haha it's too long!

My IV scan date is Aug 21, but we had not noticed the AOS checklist for a month and now we are very sad!

The operator Nickie told me there is no error on our I-864ez form, but the checklist says as below..

Part 5 sponsor's income and employment

My husband's income indicated on the I-864EZ Part 19 does not correspond to that shown on the most recent tax rerurn.

He has called NVC again and again but never be able to connect. I can contact NVC easily because of the time differences between here in Tokyo and NVC, but the operators are always rude and each of them told me different answers.

My husband changed his job from last year, and so his income ammount on 2013 tax rerurn and his present income at new company are not the same.

But according to the checklist, these two ammount of income should be the exact same?

Please someone help us..my husband really doesn't know what to input.

Thank you Ryan!

I knew American embassy in Japan dont accept I-130 directly anymore after 2011,
but I thought DCF was something else.

But now it is clear that we have to send I-130 to Chicago.

Thank you so much.

He got a job in the US which starts from Dec, n so will move there before my visa is approved.

DCR? I am sorry but could you tell me what it is?
Also, do we need to send my passport copy and his birth certificate?

Thank you!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-130 documents
Hi everybody!

We got married in Aug 2013, and will move to Los Angeles soon.
My American husband have lived in Tokyo, Japan for 5years.

My husband is going to send I-130 to Chicago today,
and we are still worried about our documents.

We will send the documents as below:

1 G-1145
2 cover letter
3 money order $420
4 G-325A(American)
5 one passport type photo(American)
6 I-130
7 G-325A(mine)
8 one passport type photo(mine)
9 a copy of American passport
10 certification of our marriage with American embassy stamp
11 pictures n some other stuff for proving our marriage

Our question here is if we need to send as below:

1 a birth certificate(American)
2 a copy of Japanese passport(mine)

This visa processing is a hard work, and I am confused a lot.
Anyone could you tell me the answer please?

Thank you so much for reading my topic!

Sincerely,
Iku

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMSC timelines.
I just checked the USCIS website, which says we're in post decision mode, and that they sent notification on Nov. 23. I think that means we're approved. This is the first time I was able to get info there, and I've checked pretty much daily.

I hope this is good news for all October filers who've ended up at the National Benefits Center (MSC) like us (NOA-1 on Oct. 2).

We'll celebrate after the letter comes in the mail, though. I'll update my timeline then, too.

Hello,
Could someone kindly advise me what the status would be when you receive NOA2 according to your fiancee visa process? (K-1)

I have been checking my status online which is on USCIS website and it has been in a status of "Initial Review" for more than 3 months by now.

And wondering how I would know if the office has mailed us the NOA2 by checking the status.

Please could someone help?

Thank you

CaribbeanCr1 visa denied

Yes we do admit that we got like 2 questions wrong but we are only human we do not have a memory chip in our brains

I guess the key piece of missing information is what these "like 2 questions" were. What might seem very minor to you may have raised major red flags for the consular officer.

If you don't feel comfortable discussing the details of those questions on the forum, that's fine, but you should probably have a consultation with an immigration attorney before proceeding.

Asia: East and PacificTokyo Embassy Interview: Date Request?

For those of you getting an IR1/CR1 through the Tokyo Embassy:

Can you request the interview date, or do they decide?

Thanks!

In our case, we could request a specific date (via http://japan2.usemba...pptrequest.html). However, we filed the petition through DCF. Filers going through the US will just be assigned an interview date by the NVC, as I understand it.

The good news is that the Tokyo embassy seems quire easy to deal with, so I suspect that if you needed to, it may be possible to reschedule with the embassy without too much difficulty. But buyer beware, that's just speculation on my part.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionIs new passport needed

hello guys,

We have a CR1 visa interview in the Dominican Republic and are wondering if my spouse (beneficiary) needs a new passport for his interview. He has a residency card for Spain and lived there for a couple of years and all his stamps/visa from Spain are on his current passport.

Is his passport valid for six months beyond the interview date? If not, he should get a new one first. Otherwise, unless all of the visa pages have been filled up, I can't see any reason he would need to get a new one.
GaijinsanMaleJapan2012-02-17 02:06:00
US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionHow does the waiting inside the Embassy feel like? care to share...

As I am preparing for my upcoming interview, it would be nice to hear from others, who have waited for their turn to be called at the window, how was the waiting like inside the US Embassy? did you feel bored? cold? hungry? tired? Thanks!

I found it extremely boring. Considering the circumstances, that's probably the best I could have hoped for.
GaijinsanMaleJapan2012-02-17 02:09:00
Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionShould we file form AR-11 for a temporary (6 months) move?

Currently we have two residences. We are in OKC for about 6 months and I can get the mail from our So Cal residence every month or so. We currently do not have an open case and we will file to remove conditions one month after we return to So Cal.

Should we still update our addresses via form AR-11?

Are you still using your other address as your "address of record" for financial correspondence, tax purposes, etc.?
If so, my non-expert opinion is that you should NOT update via AR-11 as your domicile has not changed.

Looking at the form there is an option to specify a temporary address, in case you do decide to go down that route.

There is some miscommunication you should clarify with your lawyer - or he's a complete loser- if you're at NVC that is awesome news because you not only got transferred, you got approved! NVC is the next step!

Probably what your lawyer said is that you're still at NBC (national benefits centre). Which seems wrong. If you got transfer emails and you know it's the right msc number, you got transferred, and your lawyer never got the transfer notice.

It's times like this I'm extra glad I don't have a lawyer!

Anyway, hope this L-1 visa comes through for you! Good luck!

Sorry for my mistake, it was NBC.

I was so frustrated after I talked with my lawyer and I made that stupid mistake.. :P

Thanks anyway :)

I live in Japan with my hubby and we've never gotten hard copy of transfer (I received 2 email on DEC 12th and 14th), so we didn't know which service center we were transferred.  I asked to my lawyer to confirm and as he confirmed, my case is still in NVC.

What the hell is going on.. seriously!! Then what was all about that transfer email?!

Ugh.. I'm really fed up with all this ######!

But one good news is, I signed the offer letter which will be internal transfer in my company from Japan to USA, and my company will offer me transfer visa (L-1). L-1 is a dual intend visa, so I hope this one will be approved earlier than this stupid CR-1.

I really wish all of us get out of this hell soon!

It feels bittersweet to post this after reading from fellow filers still waiting for news sad.png . If anything, I sincerely hope this gives more comfort that USCIS is moving along, at whatever slow pace, but moving. Now to wait for my case to ship out to NVC.

I am living in Japan with my hubby and we had a problem to get the NOA1 hard copy and then our lawyer suggested to change our address from Japan to their office in Washington.

Then I got a transfer email on Dec 11 and still haven't gotten any hard copy.. so have no Idea to which service center we are transferred.

My lawyer said hard copy is not important so don't worry about it.. but I really wanna know!!

Is there anyone who can let me know where should I contact and confirm it?

I am pretty sure not to CSC since I am still waiting NOA2..... :(
