Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAny recent approvals out of the Texas Service Center
I have a feeling TSC suffered a meltdown in June. People with January NOA1s had gotten June approvals, then all of sudden they started transferring I-751s to CSC at the beginning of July. And nobody (at least around VJ) still at TSC from February on has been approved since.

Has anyone else noticed they've changed the processing times from a date to "six months"?!

Not sure what you mean by that -- the processing time currently shown (or current as of Aug. 16) is February 13. Or do you mean how the processing time has been six months for some time now, moving up in one-month increments with every monthly processing time update?

You should be due to hear any day now, no?

When you look on the USCIS site for the current processing times:
https://egov.uscis.g...eviceCenter=TSC

Instead of Feb. 13 it now says 6 months...

I bet it will stay at 6 months until hell freezes over too. Just a cheap trick to not having to report an exact date.... - but that's just my opinion.

Wow, I had not noticed that. Although I guess in fairness, there doesn't seem to be much difference -- it could just mean that they are currently processing applications with an NOA1 date of six months before the date of the processing time update. Then again, it could mean they have a license to weasel.

Am I the only person that seems not to be too stressed about this? I mean, when I sent my I-751 I was expecting a minimum of a 6 month wait.

*dunno*

Nope, but it's just when you see people who filed at TSC three months after you getting transferred to CSC and approved already, well, it just ain't fair! But life isn't fair, and you're right -- I wasn't expecting approval for about six months anyway.

BTW, Cassie, you have my permission to start obsessing now, if you like, lol.

I'm interested in seeing if lovedolphins has been approved -- last week was six months from their NOA -- but he (she?) hasn't been around for over a week.

Wow! So it seems that the later you filed, the faster the applications are being processed, largely due to many being transferred to the CSC.

However in the case of ours from November '06 - March '07 - we are stuck, somewhere at the TSC.

My date is February 28. According to the USCIS Website they are processing applications up to Feb 13.

Do they do one a day? Okay, if I haven't heard anything in a week I am going to call.

Then I will get my senator involved...Darn,, where is John Edwards when you need him!

Well, if the processing times are correct, you should literally be hearing any day now. Be sure and let us all know!

Somebody? Anybody?

No one has reported an approval out of TSC for two months, at least according to the timelines here. Seems like the bunch of us who filed at TSC in the months before they started transferring I-751s on July 1 have fallen into a black hole.

As the USCIS implies on the processing times page, if your NOA 1 date was before January 13 (as of mid-July) and you still haven't been approved, you probably have other problems with your petition (RFEs, etc.).

This is really, really pathetic. Why didn't they just send the petitions to CSC?

Why do we have to wait - and WAIT - AND WAIT - for nothing?

Give your NOA date, if you don't hear within the next couple of weeks, then we'll know they've really fallen behind. Actually, we may know by the end of this week, when the new processing times come out. If they stay at January 13 or move up less than a month, we'll know that they've slowed down.

Wonder where all that new fee money they're getting is going?

Kee-rist. I'd mentioned yesterday that we hadn't seen anybody with an NOA later than January been approved in TSC, but thought maybe it was because those with February/March NOAs just hadn't been here for a while. Now I know that those people in the Dallas area who work for TSC have better things to do, like, for example, picking their noses and watching the grass grow. No wonder USCIS is sending I-751s from TSC to CSC. Doesn't matter how much USCIS increased the fees; TSC will always be the same. These country clowns have proven time and again that they can't cut the mustard. May their pickup trucks spontaneously explode.

I thought it might be a good idea to post this memo here. Maybe some will check this thread before sending their petition and avoid the delay of being transferred from NSC to CSC or from TSC to VSC.

I think it's important enough to warrant its own pinned thread. There are still plenty of people who are just blindly sending petitions to TSC and NSC.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionInfopass in Seattle - I-551 stamp
QUOTE (radacos @ Jun 25 2008, 01:54 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi everyone!
Today I went to the Seattle field office for my scheduled Infopass. I had no trouble at all getting my passport stamped; the stamp is good until June 2009 (a year from today, and 6 months after my NOA expires). Also, for what it's worth, the officer checked the status of my case, confirmed that it is still pending, and told me, "for these cases (removal of conditions), it takes about a year." I am a NSC -> CSC transferee.
Wishing everyone speedy processing!
--Ileana

What it's worth is not much. He has no idea. No way NSC-CSC transfers take a year. Everyone I've seen with your NOA1 date or thereabouts has taken from 3-5 months. You are on the outside of that timeframe right now.

I put in a service request. My confirmation number for that ends in "csc". does that mean they sent it to California? I thought we were in Vermont!

Wow, now maybe dallaschic's post from a couple of days ago makes sense -- she said she had been told she was transferred to CSC. Maybe VSC has gotten rid of all pre-September I751s and dumped them in California. Un-freakin-believable. You'll have to start a new TSC-VSC-CSC Losers thread if that's the case. Unless of course CSC decides it has too many I751s and convinces the USCIS bigwigs to let them send you to NSC, which doesn't have any right now. Then NSC will claim overwork and will send you to TSC where you began.

Congratulations to all those receiving their 10-year green cards!

I have decided to post after viewing the postings and being utterly frustrated...

I am a US citizen, my wife is a "conditonal" green card holder...from Canada...you think we would go easy on our friendly northern neighbor, a chief supplier of electricity...

First of all here is a timeline (Please add us to the timeline)

Filed Application with TSC (Texas Service Center) on 03/14/07.
03/23/07 - First NOA date
04/20/07 - Biometrics
01/18/08 - Enquired via the Helpline about application through a live operator (a live person is hard to find)
request placed, no word yet.

Checking the website about our specific case, it still shows March 23, 2007 (the first NOA date)

The timeline for the TSC shows that they are now processing applications as of April 19, 2008. This memo states Jan. 15, 2008, but it was really posted on Jan. 26, 2008. Trust me, I check the website everyday.... The previous one posted in mid-December 2007 states that they were processing application as of April 8, 2007. You mean to say, that in 30 days, they only went through 10 days worth of applications? Okay, I'll excuse my fellow Americans at the TSC for taking the "holidays" off....

What baffles me is that how can the TSC simply forward applications to the CSC and VSC ahead of those already in line?
For example, those that aplied in July via the TSC had their approved in October via the CSC.

It simply is not fair.

I'm gald that someone who applied in early March 2007has been approved, but there are others in January 2007 that are still waiting.

Which Texas Senator do you write to? (We live in Texas)
Maybe I'll vote in the Republican Texas primray so that the Senator's office knows I'm a registered Republican so that they will handle my enquiry quickly. I daresay voting Democrat in a Texas primray will get you anywhere.. Texas is a Republican state....

Welcome to VJ, fellow TSC Loser®! We have long been at a loss to explain what goes on at TSC. As best as we can figure out, they got swamped just before the fee increase went into effect last year and have never been able to get their head above water.

It's odd that your last touched date is the date of your NOA1. Is that really the date in the "Last Update" column on the website? Usually it's a day or so after the biometrics.

Re: contacting your senator from Texas -- you might just have some luck. JLR contacted Senator Cornyn's office and got a relatively early approval for someone who had filed in February 2007. We speculated that Cornyn might have some pull. Certainly worth a shot.

Adding kalstravels . . . .

The nice lady on the other end of the phone told me that I'd been approved and that my green card should be on its way to me! dancin5hr.gif

I can't tell you how pleased I am, especially considering how turbulent the past few months have been with my marriage collapsing around my ears. Looks like I'll be here for a while yet!

Wow, this got lost amidst lovedolphins' RFE. Congratulations! They've actually moved into March now, at least for some petitions. I'm stunned.

Did the nice lady tell you the date you were approved? I'll put yesterday down in the list to be on the safe side.

I wouldn't worry -- just inundate them with what they ask for and if you don't have what they are asking for, attach a letter explaining why not.

Look on the bright side, as Cassie suggested -- your case is no longer sitting collecting dust. It will be approved in the near future.

No offense taken (except towards TSC) b/c of course I haven't heard anything. I'm still technically within the processing time -- by one day! Not that a service request would do any good, of course . . . I don't even think we'll be approved by the time a full year since the NOA1 has rolled by.

A senator submitted an inquiry to TSC on our behalf to find out the status of our case in early January. Couple of weeks later the response came. "We are currently processing petitions filed on 2/15/07." The funny thing is, when the same inquiry was submitted to TSC in October (three months ago), the response from TSC was "We are currently processing petitions filed on 2/23/07."

Why am I not surprised? I believe one's senator must personally know someone/have leverage over a higher-up in TSC to actually have any effect. Otherwise, TSC just makes up some date to give to the inquiring senator's office.

Actually, TSC recently started transfering to VSC instead. I don't know why because VSC has been taking 6 months or so, while CSC was knocking them out in 2-3 months from NOA1.

They got too fast. I believe that the USCIS runs on the motto of the slower the better.

They may have to shut down CSC for being too efficient.

Not one TSC Loser® has been approved in the past month? I guess TSC returned our files back to the janitorial closet in the basement men's room.

My husband and I are due to file for Naturalization in April and still no 10 yr green card to copy to include in paperwork.

By the way what if he dont get my husband's 10-yr green card by April can we file without it and what can we use in its place.

So... what happens when the 1-year extension (granted by the NOA) expires? It will soon.

Your husband needs to make an InfoPass appointment and get an I-551 stamp in his passport.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, the closest office is 5 hours away girlwerewolf2xn.gif

You're five hours from J-ville? Gotta be in Pensacola or thereabouts. (I'm getting deja vu -- didn't we have this conversation before?)

Anyway, hopefully he will get his card before you have to consider the road trip. He probably will -- NOA1s from February 2007 are next up to be approved in TSC. I can't imagine they won't clear that month of NOA1s by the time May rolls around. Then again, we are talking TSC here . . . .

But there's no doubt that even if your I-751 has not been adjudicated, you can go right ahead and apply for citizenship 90 days before your third anniversary (i.e., a year after you were allowed to petition to have the conditions removed).

I thought the 3-year mark applied to the green card, not to the wedding anniversary. For instance, we wed in December '04 and he got the green card in May '05. I thought we had to wait until Feb '08 to apply for citizenship.

I was referring to the anniversary of receiving your green card, not the anniversary of your marriage. That's what I meant to when I said "a year after you were allowed to petition to have the conditions removed" -- you are allowed to petition to remove conditions 90 days before the second anniversary of having received your green card.

Hi. I'm reading through this thread, because we are still awaiting my husband's conditions to be lifted. The NOA is sometime last February. He called for a status update as listed above, and they eventually sent a letter that basically said, "It's not completed yet." What a joke. No explanation, no apology. They didn't even look at it.

So... what happens when the 1-year extension (granted by the NOA) expires? It will soon.

I am beginning to wonder if I should go ahead and contact my senator now because maybe he can inquire abt all this waiting and how come ppl who file with TSC and get transferred to CSC in October get approved before the ones who filed in January-June at TSC. My husband and I are due to file for Naturalization in April and still no 10 yr green card to copy to include in paperwork.

By the way what if he dont get my husband's 10-yr green card by April can we file without it and what can we use in its place.

The problem with you or I contacting a senator or doing a service inquiry is that we're still within the posted processing time, which shows that TSC is (at least as of Dec. 14) working on I-751s with an NOA1 of April 8, 2007. Therefore, the answer you're bound to get is that you are still within the processing time.

I'm assuming you filed your I-751 close to 90 days before the expiration of the conditional green card, which would mean that your NOA1 extension letter should still be good until July. If you still haven't gotten a permanent card by the end of June, your husband should make an InfoPass appointment and get an I-551 stamp in his passport.

I just wanted to touch in with all of you in this forum.

It's January 16, and there have been NO approvals out of the Texas Service Center since December.

So, basically half the month has gone by, and none of us have been approved....

Just wanted to clarify...

cray5ol.gif

Not surprised. The official *cough*lyingthroughtheirteeth*cough* processing time released in December moved ahead only one day from the one released in November. They seem to be permanently stuck adjudicating random petitions from the first half of February 2007, which I'm sure must drive you in particular nuts, being so close and all.

USCIS Contradicts itself again....

I called TSC back on 11/13/07 to inquire about our case (received by USCIS 04/05/07, NOA Date of 04/20/07. The CSR agreed it was outside of their processing times and initiated a service request. I changed our address at that time, as well.

The reply from TSC stated: "The status of the service request is: Our records indicate that you filed I-751 to Remove Conditions. As of this date, your I-751 is still pending. A card will not be produced until this action is completed."

I just got another letter from TSC today. It says "Our review indicates that this case is actually within or current processing time. Your I-751 case is ready for review selection. We regret any misunderstanding. If you do not receive a decision or notice of other action within our current processing time, check our website for an update or call customer service at the number provided below."

I am also waiting for a response from our senator.

One question. On the second letter I got from USCIS they mispelled my husband's name (he is the applicant, I am the USC). But on the first letter they spelled it right. Should I worry??? At least I know they updated our address.... unsure.gif

Generally, if his name is spelled correctly on the NOA1, I wouldn't worry about it. But because you updated your address, it's conceivable they might have introduced an error in the spelling of his name when they did so. You would probably want to have that corrected in case they issue the card with the misspelling so you don't have to go through the hassle (a no-fee hassle because it was their fault, but nevertheless a hassle) of getting a replacement card.

I've come to realize from witnessing others go through them that service requests are not worth the time or energy. Nothing ever comes out of them other than readings from a script written by Captain Obvious.

Grreaat.... the last ones on some Loser List!!! That makes me feel good. I can't tell online when the application was 'last touched' it just says it was received and pending.

Question: if my application was sent somewhere else, I would have gotten a letter or the case status tool would be updated i am guessing?

Also: The applications that got sent to another service center, are those getting approved?

I better pack a lunch....

Just to make you feel better, or worse, I'm taking a page from the NSC Losers' list and adding Silvanski, the first known transfer from TSC to CSC. He got an RFE and was STILL approved in just a little over three months!

Wow! This is my first post and I am glad I found this site. Comforting yet disturbing to see all your posts!

I guess it hasn't really been that that long for me. My NOA is dated 06/25/07. I am just a alittle anxious after hearing horror stories about USCIS's competency at times, even before reading any posts on this site!!!

What is really scary is it looks like there are people that have been waiting & received their NOA January of 2007, and then others who have gotten approved that filed after I did. You gotta wonder what happens behind the scenes at the TSC!

Also scary, dont know if you guys have seen the processing times on uscis website lately. In November 2007 they were processing cases dated April 7th 2007. A month later it got updated to April 8th 2008! What the heck!?! Anyone else catch that?

Anyway nice to meet y'all!!!!

Welcome! And, oh, boy, is Reinhard (Mr. Bigdog) gonna be happy to see you! Because you are now last on the TSC Loser® list after him! You must have just missed the cutoff for getting transferred to CSC. (If only you could go back in time and delay filing by just one week!)

Could you provide your other info, i.e., the date you sent your I-751, your biometrics appointment date, and the date that your file was "last touched" (that is, the "Last Updated" date that shows up when you log in to the USCIS site and look at your case)?

Ladies and gentlemen..... may I present... the new processing times (posted today Dec. 28, 07) on the USCIS website...
drumrolls please...

"As of December 14, 2007 Texas Service Center is processing I751s as of April 08, 07."

Yeah, I know, I'm in tears too - a whole day, they've moved a whole !@$#%$ day!
So in the past 3 months they've moved a total of 5 days... amazing.... dead.gif who would have guessed.... lol

But it's all made up anyway b/c the real time is somewhere in mid-February. They'll probably just let it sit around April 8 or so until they actually catch up to that date. Meanwhile, I'm still within the reported processing time . . . .

Its been on big headache for my wife and I as it seemed we were just way out in the lost cases files, since we never received any feedback from TSC. I still would like to have some choice words with someone there, but since its christmas, I will take this as a good christmas gift.

Good luck to all of you
especially the one's that have ruffly the same time frame as us
cassie, Tweety, James, and thanks for keeping this forum alive

GREAT news, Mark! Congratulations!!! Particularly after the freakin' hassles with no NOA1 and no biometrics notice. Looks like there may be hope after all . . . could it be that there is a a 10-month processing time now? Wonder what's happened with ven2lin and vumbi . . . .

what is going on today that they have not update the uscis website yet????? also that is falling behind... nice!

Would it matter? Their official processing times are a straight out lie anyway... they are meaningless.

they just make me fell better... why not?

They are at best off by about two months. Why give yourself false hope? Based on your NOA1, I wouldn't expect to be approved before the end of April. I don't expect to be approved before the middle of March.

Here is the reply to my service request that I received a few weeks ago.
Request was put in on Sept 25, reply is dated Oct 23.

The status of this service request is:

Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 month of this letter, please call customer service at the number provided below.

....

6 months from the date it was sent is EXACTLY when my 1 year extension of the GC is expiring unsure.gif
"additional review" ... hm, that doesn't sound good. I think I'll start gathering info and contact a senator to look into it after the holidays. helpsmilie.gif

Sounds fishy to me. You could translate the "additional review" sentence as "This case is still sitting in the dog-eared cardboard box in the janitorial closet of the basement mens room with the other I-751 petitions from you losers and we will get to it when we darn well feel like it."

Let's guess the next official processing times....
My guess: April 12, 2007 - they've moved a couple of days lol

I'm looking for them to be honest in the spirit of the season and move backwards two months.

I forgot to add amir to our list and welcome him as a fellow TSC Loser®!!

I'm also taking the liberty of deleting the "Date of I-751" column. Given that people use different means of delivery, the date the I-751 was sent to TSC is not of much importance, and particularly at our stage of the game -- the NOA1 date is the one that counts. If anyone objects, it'd be no big deal to add it back. It's not like this list changes very often.
