We got an email late this evening saying the same "Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred. blah, blah, blah......." Lots of touching going on but nobody's getting to home plate. There doesn't seem to be any order to it since our original NOA1 date from the TSC is 4/19/2007. For a sick laugh check out the processing times for Texas now that they have unloaded the TSC "Losers" to Vermont, now 4/26/07, and poor Vermont hasn't moved off of March 1st, 2007 since last month's post. You have to feel for the VSC original filers. Texas has slowed then down. What I find ironic is that my 4/20 NOA1 is now outside of the TSC processing time for the first time. Of course I'm no longer there (not that making a service request based on that, or even on the 3/1 VSC processing time, would do any good).	James	Not Telling	Colombia	2008-02-23 07:40:00

It could be that some people's status is just now being updated from "transferred to VSC" to "pending at service center to which it was sent" whereas other's (yours truly) have been updated last week. If this is the case, instead of approving the transferrees one by one, they may just want to approve everyone at the same time (which kind of sucks because being a March filer I don't want to be approved with an April filer on the same day - I want at least a one day lead :-). Yeah, I misspoke, there was an email for 2/14 obviously, and I got one, too, and now so have a bunch of others for, what, 2/22? 2/23? What does the online status say for "last updated"? Guten Tag fellow Okie! We are in the same boat, get the same message ever time I check case status, but I am getting tired of cutting and pasting our SRC# to the check your case status inquiry. Perhaps we will get our AOS before expiration date. I notice another post from a TSC AOS submitter who submitted late last year and was sent to the CSC. Why don't you register for an account and indicate that you want email notification? That way you can just login and see when you were last touched (and receive notifications via email of approval or other major developments). Anyway, I think it's kind of odd that some of us received these "petition received" emails and others haven't, as if they are still in limbo somewhere between TSC and VSC. I can only imagine that it must mean all of us are at VSC, only some of us have been placed in an "on deck circle" or something like that. Who knows . . . . In addition, what if the green card takes forever to arrive (I have heard nightmare stories where it can take few weeks -> 6 months from the time card production is orderered, or they screw up something on the card)? I have these questions: 1. How do you go about making an INFOPASS appointment? Do you call, website? 2. After requesting an appointment, within how many days to they actually schedule the appointment? (are we talking days/weeks/months?) Of course I have heard that you need to provide evidence at the appointment that you intend to travel (booked airline tickets). I will have to do this for my wife in May, but I need to start making contingency plans - we are dealing with the USCIS. Appreciate any tips/advice. I read either the same article or a similar article that discussed the backlog and chronic problems associated with USCIS. It was actually an editorial in Sunday's Times. It simply discussed the fact that wait times for green cards and naturalization were way up, as well as the news that USCIS had loosened up the FBI background check rule, and contrasted that with the number of employers using the government's immigrant employment verification service and Bush's proposal of giving that particular service another $100 million. Word has apparently seeped through from single VSC adjudicators who went to happy hours while vacationing in Miami that the hottest talent comes from South America. And I'm not talking football soccer. South America! South America!!! who got approve today!!! come on!! GIVE me someone last touch on 02/26/2008!!!!! whoever!!! Havent heard anything since 03/20/08, the date I received the letter stating the case was transferred to local office for adjudication. Not to be snooty or anything, but this exclusive club is for those old TSC filers whose cases were transfered to and are pending at VSC, not local offices. Our case status is now "Card production ordered." I wish everyone who had filed before us had gotten approved but I hope this means that it will happen soon. Congrats, bro! Looks like VSC may be plowing through the pile, even if out of chronological order. The most logical explanation is that they had to go backward on that date because of the TSC to VSC transfers. At least they are owning up to that fact. So A_C, the first of the transferees cannot complain becuase A_C (and the rest of us) are officially within the processing timeframe. The flip side is that it does not seem that they are inclined to really speed up our processing; we are not an exception. We have been lumped within the standard processing timeframe. The upside is that they acknowledge us transferees and they are working on our applications and do consider them valid VSC cases hence the backtracking to Feb 1, 2007 from March 1 , 2007. Good Luck to all! Well, we all know that the processing times have never been connected with service center reality, regardless of what form is being processed. Actually, I'm putting the NOA1 date as the receipt date at TSC (4/26), since that was the case with my NOA1, which was issued just six days before. I'm also putting the Last Touched date as 2/25 based on that. Anyway, congrats to you, gatorlink! I know some of the other Losers who filed up to two months before you are disappointed that VSC is not doing this in chronological order, but the important thing is that they are doing it! If this were a well-oiled machine, you'd get your green card within 90 days. That's exactly what is supposed to happen, i.e., what the statute and the regulations implementing the statute contemplate. By the end of 90 days, you're supposed to either have had your petition adjudicated or have been called in for an interview. What's odd is that CSC has in many cases been able to do precisely that. You would think that the powers that be at CIS would tell the other service center directors to do whatever it is that is working at CSC. But then again, "senior management" at CIS is anything but -- they are merely incompetent political appointees, cronies, and hacks. The "heckuva job, Brownie" crowd. After my application sat around for a month longer than all of yours at TSC, it did eventually get transferred to VSC on last Friday March 21st 08 - pretty weird. My NOA is also more recent than everyone on the list... Good news for you! But that IS weird. Wonder why TSC just sat on it for a month? And I wonder if that means the other handful of folks who were left behind have been (with early February 2007 and late June 2007 NOA1 dates) have been/are being transferred? If something were to happen tomorrow and she needed to get back, she would need all her travel documents in order. I'm sure that's the case with a majority, not a minority here. That means a valid passport and a valid Green Card. So we don't have a valid green card which means a 200 mile roundtrip to the USCIS field office on a business day to get an extension stamp in a passport. Thats $$ for gas, and $$ in lost income for both of us as we have to take the entire day off. So travelling to the USCIS office is an expense, but going overseas isn't? Hm. In any case, the only adverse affect the wait is having on me is the uncertainty given my current domestic situation. I'll lawyer up if needs be but, yeah, it's been over a year for me as well. It's pretty ridiculous - ESPECIALLY since TSC applicants from October 2007 are getting approved! You'll have to excuse my annoyance on that one. I don't what the deal is with the TSC applicants from October who have just been approved. They actually had to wait a bit longer than most of the TSC-CSC transferees. Unless we get lucky in the next three months before the NOA1 expires, my wife is going to have to do an InfoPass (w/at least one kid in tow) to get the stamp.
