Mexico, Latin & South AmericaQuestion About Plane Tickets
Yes looking online a one way is more expensive yet I have found if you call around to the airlines and travel agents, etc . google cheap tickets you will find a one way to be cheaper. You have to do the work and find it. So I found with Ghana at least that was the case!

Mexico, Latin & South Americaname change
Nope it is not a problem, you don't have to change your name if you don't want to. You will be fine, a lot of people don't always opt to change their name.

Africa: Sub-Saharanmailing passport
Hello everyone and thanks in advance.
I just want to know in Ghana, is it illegal to mail a passport???
I believe my husband is lying to me when he tells me they took it at fed ex and gave it back to him and said it is illegal. I need it to file my taxes with the w7 form. If he is lying it is over. Does anyone know??
Oh and he had nerve to tell me the police called him or somethin about it.

Africa: Sub-SaharanWhats the deal with Africans vs Blacks?!!
For a long time I have noticed my African American friends here hate African people and my African friends hate African Americans. The girlfriend from originally from Ghana and I had this discussion on Saturday. She said African Americans think their better than her!

As far as your issue with your husband’s family I feel you! I have the same situation with my husbands’ brothers and sisters here in the states. They all think I am an evil American too. My husband’s brother lives 20 minutes away and I have never met him, I think they are crazy. His one brother told my husband he will speak to him again when we get divorced that how could he go marry a white woman. His brothers have never spoken to him since we have been married. Honestly they have never met me so I don’t know what their beef is. Personally it’s none of anyone’s business. Who cares if I am white and he is African. It makes me angry but what are you going to do about it. When my husband was denied he visa I was mad in so many ways that nobody would help me find a lawyer, contribute to pay him, etc. I could not even get an affidavit of support letter from them for my rebuttal, not that we would ask but we know. My husband’s sister had never spoken to me in over a year and a half that we had been married and she found out I was headed to Ghana for Christmas this past December. She had her husband call to ask if they could mail me stuff to take. I was so angry but I said yes to do it for my husband’s parents. Fortunately they love me and respect me. His sister never called me not once and I have yet to hear from her husband again.

I feel you anger in so many ways.

I was crying so hard though and he was being a jerk saying well how do you know someone three months and marry them. They will tell you they are back logged most likely!

Why I am not surprised, thanks for posting that. It still sticks in my head of the little asian man at the embassy saying deny denied like 50 times while I waited to be seen by the conslur. At least the issue is in the public eye now.

So I am getting everything together in hopes the USCIS does affirm my case. I know it will go back to the NVC and then I have been told they the embassy will not interview my husband again, they just give my husband the visa. Anyone know?

Do not staple the pages and maybe try putting everything together in one echo fastner. That is the advise my lawyer gave me as I am working on my rebuttal for my husbands CR1 visa denial. Good luck to you.

Africa: Sub-SaharanWhat to do about the Medical test?
For my husbands medical, when they tested his blood and they found the maleria parasites and he had to get a lot more vacanations. Needless to say he gets maleria frequently. That is why they do the blood tests. It may be different for everyone depending you know. All together it may of cost my husband about $600 US. Hope that helps a little.

Yes I don't think they can do that over there either. I know my husband can plug his phone in and print his text messages via his phone. Have your spouse get a service that records there calls to you. That would be the best bet!

Thanks everyone for your support I will keep you posted. Thanks for your advice and prayers. Meanwhile the 60 days are up on my rebuttal for his denial so my senator just contected ths USCIS for the status. I just got the letter and they said they are doing additional backround checks. Anyone knows whats up with that. Is that typical for a denial, do they always do that?

I already have a lawyer, Marc Ellis. I have said I was sorry like I said just last month when I was there we worked everything out so I thought. I may not be an immigrant but I have been through the ringer spending all my money going to visit him in Ghana every six months.
